Classic Ceylon tea touched with the flavor of fresh cream. Sweet and warm, pleasantly brisk, delicately creamy.

This tastes divine. I have never put milk in my tea before but I did for this and the milk compliments the flavor so well. Also added a bit of sugar and now I feel like I’m drinking a sweet coffee. Absolutely love it!

I purchased a sample to add to the Chestnut and Marsala Chai teas. It adds a subtle cream flavor.

I liked this tea, but am torn on if the parts I like outweigh the parts I didn't? I really like the Smokey quality and creamy hints, but felt overall it was a bit bland and underwhelming, and also felt the creaminess itself didn't last as long as the more bland taste did, which was unfortunate. Definitely feel this would be good with fruity options, but I'm not a big fan of it by itself.

★★★★☆

It smells like vanilla ice cream the cream flavor adds a nice sweetness to the black tea.

Part of the November 2020 CommuniTEA box. Super sweet!

★★★★★

Rating this 5 stars because it was enjoyable. The 'natural cream flavoring' isn't quite as good as milk, though. I would enjoy drinking this tea again but am more likely to buy other black teas and add my own cream.

Creamy caramel sweet. A very nice black tea. I added stevia and unsweetened almond milk.

★★★★★

Very delightful. Tastes great with milk and sweetener!

★★★☆☆

November CommuniTEA box:
The cream flavor is too weak, and the black tea flavor is overwhelming.

★★★☆☆

As much as I love the aroma of the caramel flavor, this cream variety smells delectable but is difficult to stand on it's own. The flavor of the black tea overwhelms the light cream, and while this is delightful as an element of many blends, it is difficult to appreciate it without adornment.

Tastes like tea with cream. They nailed it. Creamy with the astringent that comes from the lack of sugsr

★★★★★

To be honest, I prefer mixing this one with stronger flavors, like earl grey, but it is nice on its own.

★★★★☆

This tea was nice! Although I thought it tasted more like vanilla than cream. It has a lot of sweetness baked in and would probably be great mixed with other blends that need mellowing out.

★★★★☆

I have only ever had this tea as part of a blend until today's CommuniTea sample. I found it quite enjoyable on its own. Creamy and sweet.

A nice black tea. In both my CommuniTea sample and my 10cup sample from the Sweet Tooth Teas box, I don't really notice the cream, I would prefer if it was stronger. But then again I'm used to adding cream/milk to my teas anyway. Perhaps if I compare it side-to-side with a regular black the cream flavor would stand out more. For now, it's a decent black tea, I switch between drinking it with a bit of additional cream & sugar, but I also like using it to cut down spicier teas.

I'm not really getting 'cream' cream, but it's a nice black tea. Smelled faintly of vanilla mint as dry leaves, which was amusing.

I already knew I was going to like this tea from the November Communitea sample as we keep the iced teas version in the pantry for the kids. Creamy and delicious.

The dry ceylon tea smells wonderful: sweet, full, & chocolatey; and the cream smell from the non-dairy flavoring is very strong! Reminds me of milk candy or evaporated milk. After brewing, the cream smell emerges after sitting for a few minutes (freshly brewed it just smells like staple black tea).
Black, the tea is bitter-forward in taste, and a bit astringent. The cream isn't really there in flavor for me but it's really there in mouthfeel: it's fullbodied and smooth. Just 1/2 tsp of sugar really brings out the cream notes and cuts all but the aftertaste of bitterness; and just a few drops of half&half makes the mouthfeel so much softer, though perhaps milk might have been a better choice for the extra sweetness. My tea tasting partner thought it tasted almost buttery!

Not really something I would drink unless it’s blended with something.

★★★☆☆

This is a nice enough tea, smooth and creamy as the name suggests, but I taste something at the end of the sip, a bit...chemical-y , I'm not sure what it is, but I think this tea is probably best used to add a creamy factor to a tea that may need a smoother feel to it. I've seen it used in many fandom blends and i think it probably does better as a supporting tea rather than the main event kind of tea...

Smooth and creamy, without being too fake or overwhelming the delicate taste of the ceylon.

This tea is absolutely delicious! It's dairy-free (which is a HUGE thing for me because of my diet) but still has an amazing smoothness that can't be beat. It's got that dairy flavor without the sour aftertaste that I often experienced whenever I would drink real dairy, which is just the icing on the cake.

I was expecting to be underwhelmed by this-especially since I’m away from home and using my travel bottle to cold steep. The color was lighter, and I thought it would be plain and a little flavorless but it tastes just like cream soda. Yummmmmmmmmmmmmm

Not a personal favorite, but can see why the creamy flavors would be appealing to others. I was happy to get the chance to try it and would be interested to try it in a blend.

★★★★★

Was thrilled with the smell and the taste alone but added stevia which made it sooo good. I savored every sip. Have to see what this summer rose is that one of the girls mixes with this. Tho I could take this on its own any time. Great cup of tea. It gets 5 hearts for sure 💗💗💗💗💗

★★★★☆

A nice black tea with a sweet creamy caramel nose to it. Initial sips have the cream flavor and a smooth mouthfeel, however, it lingers with a more astringent black tea taste. I would drink this again. And would try with some milk on my second steep. 3 @ 212

I could smell a light cream aroma along with the scent of the tea leaves. First sip I got a sweet cream hint, very subtle. Not like actually having cream in my tea, more like I had recently eaten something with say, vanilla cream on it and I still had the essence of it in my mouth. It's there but it not. An almost sweetness but it isnt which is fine by me as I am not a fan of overly sweet things. Overall, a good tea.

Creme is one of those teas that's warm and cozy, and also blends so well with a huge variety of others. With the slightest pinch of lapsang souchong it's like a toasted marshmallow.

Enjoyed this tea. It has a nice creme/vanilla flavor. It was good on its own or with a little milk.

Oh man, this was a very pleasant surprise! Generally speaking, black teas (even flavored ones) on their own aren't my favorite thing because I find them to be too bitter to taste the flavor of anything more subtle than just...black tea. THIS tea, though, I can absolutely taste the flavor and I love it! I've used it in several of my signature blends as a component, but this is the first time trying it on its own via the CommuniTEA and I gotta say, this is one for the wishlist so I don't forget to buy it later. It's just as heavenly on its own as it is in a blend. Loved this!

Smells lovely, with a taste to match. It's got a lovely, cookies and cream without the cookies flavor. On it's own or in a blend, I really like this.

My husband, who is not a tea drinker, caught the sweet scent from my cup this morning and tried some. When I told him I hadn't added sugar yet he let me know it didn't need it. The tea is naturally sweet. The cream flavor soft and the tea itself is smooth. Am amazing cup to start off my day.

★★★★★

This Cream tea lives up to its name. Mild black tea with a natural sweetness that doesn't need additional cream or sugar to be enjoyable, although adding some cream doesn't dilute the rich flavor. Caramel-like aroma adds to it's appeal.

Perfect for the morning with 1/2 teaspoon of stevia.I like to wake up with something mild in the morning and this did the trick.

★★★★☆

This is a shining star in blends as it really rounds out flavors profiles and brings everything together. Solo, it’s good not great. Nice creamy flavor that takes some of the bitterness out of the black tea, but I find it a bit boring on its own.

The smell when I opened the packet made me think that this was a caramel black tea--it smelled so sweet! But the brewed tea is not too sweet at all. There is some sweetness that lingers, but the taste is smooth and there is some bold black tea flavor too. I can see why this is used in a lot of blends with fruity teas.

I really like this. It smells very strong even after brewing. And it tastes just as good as it smells. I will definitely order this at some point in the future.

Mmm, this has a nice flavor and wasn’t bitter at all.

I'm altering my review (and increasing the stars from 2 to 4) as it turned up in my CommuniTEA packet this morning. I think the packet I ordered back in May '20 was off somehow, because what turned up in my sample this morning was night and day different than what I received with my order. Today's packet had a pleasant sweet, cream scent. I even busted out my old bag and compared, and yep they smell nothing alike. I brewed this at a slightly lower temp to get rid of the bitter qualities, and it worked to a degree. The taste was way better than my previous purchase, and had the sweet, creamy notes that were previously missing. After a few sips, I decided to add a tiny bit of rock sugar, and my, oh my, what a difference. It eliminated the remaining bitterness and brought out a toasty marshmallow flavor. I do love this in blends, as it brings a smooth, creamy quality. Overall, I don't see myself drinking it plain often, but with a bit of sugar it would make a nice treat. I just hope future purchases come from the good batch, and not the bad batch.

Original review (May 2020): I did not enjoy this tea. The smell was weird when I opened the bag, and it did not have a pleasant flavor. I detected zero cream flavor, and it had a slightly off-putting taste. I have had blends that included this tea, and I thought those were good, so I thought I would enjoy this tea alone. I did not. (brewed as stated on bag)

I was expecting to find this boring or to say it's best only used in blends, but I really enjoyed this cup!  The dry aroma smelled of sweet cream, and reminded me of something familiar... not vanilla ice cream, but almost like a homemade birthday cake, not artificial, just a slight touch of sweetness and maybe the lightest bit of vanilla.  Don't know exactly, but the flavor makes me a little nostalgic and works well with the ceylon.  Nice with just honey to sweeten it up and accentuate the cream flavor.  I added some vanilla almond milk halfway through, wondering if it would drown out the cream flavor, but instead the almond milk supported the cream flavor.  I got two great steeps out of this!  I love how CommuniTEA gives me a chance to try teas like this, that otherwise I'd only taste in blends.  (3 mins @ 195º)

Ok by itself but makes a great addition to other loose teas to mellow strong flavors or boost the smoothness you're looking for.
