Coconut Customer Reviews

Creamy texture of fresh coconut flavor with the balanced brightness of Ceylon. Perfectly sweet and very well-blended.

I really like this tea. It's got that great rich quality that black tea has, but still has a lighter taste to it because of the coconut.

6/10 would bang

★★★★☆

I really like this tea. It has a nice coconut flavor. I like it with a bit of milk but it doesn't really need sugar since the coconut makes it sweet already.

Okay, but not my favorite. I thought I'd be a bigger fan of the tropical flavored teas on adagio, but this just doesn't do it for me.

I love coconut but find that coconut tea by itself doesn't do it for me. But I find it's an excellent flavor enhancer. I'll often add 1 part coconut to 3 parts Earl Grey to give it a nutty tone.

★★★★★

I loved this! So did my Christmas company! A definite comfort tea.

★★★★☆

A lovely aroma and taste, but I made the mistake of trying my earl grey moonlight and masala chai before making a cup of coconut. Its yummy but underwhelming compared to the two. It was calming , warming and i did enjoy it.

★★★☆☆

This tea is good, but not quite what I expected. There is so much talk about coconut tea and coffee, I expected something stunning.

★★★☆☆

Tasted like dry stale coconut. Maybe it was an old batch. Not too pleased.

★★★★★

I really like this one. It has a subtle coconut flavor!

★★★★★

I love this rich coconut flavor, and often combine it with the Cream flavored black tea---delicious!

★★★☆☆

Eh.. It's not bad, but not great. My sample tastes like old, dusty dried coconut that's been sitting in someone's cabinet for years, because they thought they'd like to make holiday candy long ago but never got around to it. (Yes, that person is me.) A bit artificial tasting, with a sharp, off-putting smell. Somewhat astringent but earthy and biscuity, a natural sweetness. But it still tastes 'dusty' to me.

★★★★★

The perfect combination of coconut and black tea. This is the best tea I have ever had.

★★★★★

I adore anything coconut so I knew I would love this tea. The smell is absolutely amazing and the taste of the coconut comes through just enough without being overbearing. Perfect with a bit of cream and sugar.

★★★★★

Fantastic smooth coconut flavor without the coconut becoming too overwhelming!

★★★★☆

This tea has a really great coconut flavor. It does not taste artificial at all...very nice. Almost like a mounds bar - even though there is no chocolate in it at all. Without cream, there's a strange, bitter aftertaste but a little bit of cream/milk/half and half goes a long way and the bitter aftertaste is gone.

a nice one to keep around for a change! a nice surprise in my sample order.

★★★☆☆

I like it iced and mixed with other flavors. Not as much by itself.

★★★★★

Not overwhelming with the taste of coconut at all-- meaning it doesn't remind me of suntan lotion and won't make people who aren't as obsessed with coconut as me cringe away from sweetness. The coconut taste is subtle and only after you've taken the first few warm sips do you recognize the hints of coconut. Considering I accidentally ordered three three-ounce, I am really glad I like it (and am now set for a pretty long time).

★★★★☆

The coconut flavor isn't overpowering, which is good, but it also makes this tea a bit plain.

★★★★★

Without a doubt my favorite black tea. I could drink it every morning.

I love coconut and was thrilled to find it in tea form. It wasn't as strong in scent as I wanted it, but it still had a good taste and went well with whole milk.

I love coconut but this tea ended up with a bitter taste to it when had straight no matter how I brewed it.

This tea's not great, which is a shame, because I love the taste of coconut. This tea is great for blends, but on its own, it just isn't that exciting.

I keep buying this because it is SO TASTY! Not an awful fake coconut flavor at all. Highly recommend.

★★★★☆

I am not a fan of coconut flavors as a rule, but I was pleasantly surmised of the smooth hints of coconut mixed with this black tea. We sipped on this one several times sweetened and iced.

★★★★☆

This tea is pretty good. I think it has a very natural coconut flavor.

★★★☆☆

I did not like this tea very much. It was much too sweet for my taste. It tastes a LOT like coconut, though. So if a very sweet, coconut tea is what you're looking for, you've found it!

I love this with some almond milk and a bit of chocolate chip tea. Like an almond joy. It is my favorite go to day time tea. I like it ok alone, but it shines blended!

★★★★☆

Coconut is one of my favorite flavors, and this tea certainly doesn't disappoint. It smells absolutely divine, and the flavor by itself is fantastic. I plan to buy a 3 oz bag just so I can experiments blending it with others.

★★★☆☆

I thought the coconut would be more natural and less overpoweringly artificial. Very exaggerated

★★★★☆

I love the aroma of this tea and the flavor is well-balanced with the black tea. I haven't tried it with cream yet, but based on other reviews, I will be doing so soon!

★★★★★

excellent! somehow tasted sweet and full-bodied even without milk or sugar.

Smell: Black tea and coconut.
Taste: It smells like toasted coconut with warm nuts. The initial smell somehow reminded me of steamed green vegetables and I'm still getting a little of that, but I guess it's just the toasted coconut.
Thoughts: Adding Truvia makes this a sweet tea with mild, toasted coconut.

This is a regular for us. Really taste the coconut. Love it!

★★★☆☆

The coconut aroma was almost too strong for me when I opened the package, but once brewed seemed to have no coconut flavor.

★★★★☆

Love this steeped with chocolate chip tea. Reminds me of a candy bar. A real treat.

★★★★☆

I love all things coconut, but often the coconut taste in products has an off, or too artificial taste -- not so here!
The shreds in the tea impart a true coconut flavor, that is nicely balanced -- it does not overwhelm the black tea at all.
I have also mixed this tea with other things I have gotten from adagio to great success.

★★★★☆

This was pretty good. I plan on mixing it with other teas to create different blends.

★★★★★

I always use this with the thai chai and it just adds the extra kick that takes my cuppa to supreme.

★☆☆☆☆

All I could taste was the coconut. Tea was completely over-powered.

★★★★☆

I bought this to mix with some raspberry tea to make a Raspberry Zinger blend and it's really, really good. Nice and smooth and doesn't even need sweetening.

★★★★☆

Not as big of a fan of the flavor as I thought I would be, but still a goodie. Love it iced!

★★★★★

My favorite and my go to, perfect any time of year!

★★★☆☆

Not bad. I don't feel like this tea tastes very much like coconut even though it is named 'coconut' .

★★★★★

This is really, really good! It has a nice toasted coconut flavor.

Not too overbearing with the coconut taste. Perfect for a morning tea with a bit of sugar and cream.

★★★★☆

When you add milk and sugar, this tea tastes like a chocolate coconut candy bar, which wasn't quite what I was looking for. I did like it Just not as much as I thought I would.

★★★★☆

Very good. A lot like the Coconut Pouchong, but for a lot less money.

★★★★☆

I could mix this with anything, it's strong enough to hold its own without being overpowering in a blend. I am glad I found Adagio because I've had flavored teas before that were so artificial tasting, but this tastes like a stronger version of real roasted coconut.
