I wasn't crazy about the tangy finish, so I made another cup by steeping it at 200 for 3 mins. The result was a softer, smoother finish, but with just little less chocolate flavor. It's a good tea to mix with other teas, especially the chocolate chai.

★★★☆☆

Taste like it sounds. A little too sweet at times but good to mix with other teas.

★★★★★

I loved this tea! I was a bit worried when I read some of the reviews about the artificial taste--but it was wonderfully chocolately by aroma and taste. This is one of my favorites.

★★★★★

This is one my daughters really like. It's sweet and yummy.

★★★★☆

Yummy. Subtle, not overwhelmingly chocolately. Provides a nice dose of chocolate in a cup. If you're looking for a chocolate tea, definitely go for this one instead of the plain 'chocolate' variety.

★★★★☆

I'm not crazy about chocolate teas. Still this one makes a real effort. It is tasty and nice, but it won't satisfy an actual chocolate desire for me. Definitely worth trying, however!

★★★★☆

I could smell the chocolate before I opened the bag. It has a nice richness and adding a bit of honey really brought out the chocolate flavor. I'd buy this one again.

★★★★★

Tastes just like drinking chocolate. Very rich flavor. I highly recommend.

★★★★☆

This chocolate ship flavor was more of a dutched cocoa flavor or a semi-sweet chip flavor than a true chocolate flavor. The taste had a hint of caramel and was nice but nothing that I'd snatch off a cafe' table and run with. Good but it won't be a favorite.

★★★★☆

Nice and sweet tea. It is almost too much by itself. I like to mix this with hazelnut or vanilla tea. Makes for a great combination.

★★★★★

This is the tea I use to impress people. I've never known anyone to not like it. I prefer to use a little milk and no sugar, but friends who like sweetened teas tell me it's great with sugar as well.

★★★★★

I recommend this one. I thought hot chocolate was the only hot drink for me as far as chocolate goes. NOW? It's hard to drink traditional hot chocolate. I'd way rather just have a cup of this here good stuff right here, tell you what boy.

★★★★★

I really enjoy this tea in the morning. I will be ordering more of this tea.

★★☆☆☆

didn't like it, the taste just wasn't there, might just be personal taste

★★★☆☆

It's a tea to blend something with for sure. It's very boring by itself. It goes fantastic with peppermint.

★★★★★

All of the taste but none of the guilt! No sweetener needed, like a warm batch of deliciousness!

★★★☆☆

It's a very light chocolate scent and initially sweet on the tongue but the finish is more bitter than I like even from a black tea.

★★★★★

Tried this with a bit of strawberry, and I think I've had desert!!

★★★☆☆

It smells good, but the aroma does not transfer to the taste.

★★★★★

I love this tea! Especially when mixed with the Masala Chai or the Earl Grey.

★★★★★

A nice dark chocolate flavor, well balanced with the tea. Good with a bit of cream.

★★★★☆

This is a nice evening treat after dinner. It's nice to sit a relax and feel a little like your cheating.

★★★★☆

So I blend this one with Peppermint herbal tea for the perfect after dinner mint. I rarely drink it on it's own, but it is a good tea.

★★★★☆

Good on its own, but I love it when mixed with coconut.

★★★★★

This is a great tea on it's own or combined with other flavors. I like to combine it with almond, carmel, coconut, etc.. The brewed tea has a dark, rich color and flavor. If you were hoping to cut back on coffee, this would be a brilliant alternative. Delicious!

★★★★☆

This was an ok dessert tea but I thought it would be better if it were a little more chocolaty.

★★★★★

This is delicious! I love this mixed with cinnamon tea! It is one of my favorites.

★★★★★

Can't get enough of this tea. It is delicious to use as a desert after a great meal.

★★★★★

Okay, this is REALLY good. It tastes a bit bitter/coffee-ish without sugar, and it's not rich or creamy like hot chocolate, but it's definitely got a really nice chocolatey flavor with the tea. Reminded me of a tootsie roll, actually.

UPDATE: there was a flavor I could NOT place, and it just hit me--it tastes like a really delicious, non-alcoholic kahlua, almost, with more sweet and less coffee.

★★★★☆

This tea is a standard chocolate tea with accents of chocolate, chocolate, oh and more chocolate. It really reminds me of the Tiger Eye tea and maybe because of that I also taste some caramel flavors in it. I wouldn't necessarily drink it by itself, not that it's bad or anything but it just seems like it serves a better purpose mixed in a blend.

★★★★☆

All around good chocolate flavor. Nice finish...some may want to add some vanilla soymilk and raw suger to really round it out. Not bad and blends well with others...

★★☆☆☆

Ok so I am trying my daughter's chocolate chip tea. This is a black tea. So you know I will most likely add some half and half :) Upon opening this tea I see chocolate chips through out and cocoa nibs. I didn't real care for this tea it was kind of bland. The chocolate taste to me is very faint, I like flavor in my teas. But for you chocolate lovers this maybe for you. Yes, I made it come alive a bit with half and half. Lol...

★★★★★

This is my new go-to tea! The chocolate is pronounced but not overbearing. It's perfect to satisfy your chocolate craving while sipping a wonderful cup of tea! After I fell in love with the sample I immediately bought a full pound of this tea. Unfortunately the chocolate doesn't stand out as much in the full pound batch and it really tastes more like a fancy black tea than a chocolate tea but I still love it!

★★★☆☆

This tea was very nice in aroma but not great on flavor

★★★★★

Awesome taste! I have ordered a sample size, which is great for a first try.

★★★☆☆

I have been trying a lot of teas lately just to figure out what my preferences are...this one I found to be just OK. I will drink what I have but am not likely to order more. Nothing wrong with it, just personal preference.

★★★★★

A great tea for when you need to satisfy a sweet craving. It is very chocolate-y and reminds me of a chocolate chip cookie.

★★★☆☆

A little bit bitter for my tastes, got it as a sample and only buying it because my husband likes it.

★★★★☆

Pretty good chocolate black tea, but somehow I expected to love it more considering how much I love chocolate. Not sure why I didn't love it as much as I had hoped I would, but I don't really have any specific complaints about it. I made it with a little honey and half and half and it was good, just not amazingly great.

★★★☆☆

Tasty, but doesn't taste like any chocolate chip I've ever had :)

★★★★★

After sampling many a chocolate flavored tea and still looking for a rich chocolate flavor, I got this as a free sample. I just didn't want to pay for another chocolate tea disappointment. Even after this arrived, I didn't open it for a few months more. After looking at it in my work desk drawer for yet a few more weeks, it was time. I would say it was worth the wait, but I really want to say, 'What was I waiting for?!?' This tea has a very rich and satisfying chocolate flavor. Add a bit of cream or milk to bump up the experience. Sweetener is totally your choice, it's great with or without.

★★★★★

I really like this tea, but I prefer the Tiger Eye.

I love this tea probably because I love chocolate. It is very chocolate.

★★★★★

I have been drinking chocolate chip tea since...well, forever! I love it! I started using it in place of hot chocolate, to save on calories and have stuck with it ever since! Thank You Adagio, for making a wonderful chocolate tea!!!

★★★☆☆

I enjoy this tea, but I do not think that I will be buying more. I wish that the chocolate flavor was smoother.

★★★★★

Nice chocolate flavor! Favorite chocolate flavored tea so far. Was wonderful with chocolate cake!

★★★★★

I drank this as iced tea sweetened with splenda and I really really enjoyed it.

★★★★☆

Great chocolate smell and taste. If you love chocolate, this tea is for you.
