I loved this tea... just a hint of caramel not too over powering. Add a bit of sugar and it's almost a sinful dessert.
Bright Ceylon black tea accented with caramel. Rich dark aroma, molasses notes. Decadent cup and brown sugar finish.

I loved this tea... just a hint of caramel not too over powering. Add a bit of sugar and it's almost a sinful dessert.
This tea tastes great on its own or mixed with caramel!
I was terribly disapointed with the caramel tea. I favor sweet, nuttier teas, and while I bought this in conjunction with apple to blend, I assumed it would also become part of my regular rotation that I always kept on hand.
The issue was, it tasted like nothing, and smelled like nothing. Adagio's teas all have a strong aroma, but not caramel.
I need to note that this came in one of the new bags Adagio is replacing the tins with. It was my first time with caramel, but I also ordered some others I had before, and I noticed that the ones in bags were distinctly less scented than when they came in tins. They also all seemed to have some sort of chemical after-scent that I can only assume is something leeching out of the bags, since in the tins, they never had such a smell.
So it's difficult to determine whether the bag was to blame or the actual tea, since it was my first time ordering it.
Despite the lighter scents and added unpleasantness, all the other teas still tasted good; but caramel is just nothing~ no taste, not even when mixed with other teas, or blended with cream and sugar. Which I find curious, since caramel is often one of the strongest scented & flavoured teas with most tea retailers.
I gave it an OK rating instead of bad b/c it wasn't actually bad, it was just bland. If Adagio offers them in tins again, I will certainly reconsider trying it, but until then, no more Adagio caramel in my collection.
Great blending tea. And good on it's own. I like to blend it with cream.
This one is better mixed with others. It is not an overwhelming carmelly flavor - just kind of sweet. Good mixed with vanilla or chocolate.
This is such a great tea! It's smooth, with a hint of caramel. The caramel is definitely there, but it doesn't overpower the tea, and adds smoothness and sweetness. I really like it and would definitely recommend it. :)
This is a great treat on a cold day or when you're feeling the need for a slightly sweeter tea. You can taste the caramel flavor without it being overpowering.
Another good mixer tea-I've mixed it with apple and vanilla for a great dessert tea with milk and honey. Smells yummy!
great flavor, light, sweet. so glad I got the sample and I will definitely be buying this again!
This is a one-note tea, but it executes that note well. The ceylon base isn't carboardy or fruity like some of the other flavored Adagio black teas are. Great with milk and sugar and mixed with other teas.
A hint of caramel and tasted nice with cream and sugar.
Very good tea. The flavor is great (not too strong, not too weak). Good for mix and alone. Perfect dessert.
Super good! Really creamy and flavorful. It's perfect for mixing with other teas that need something a little sweet added.
I love caramel and this tea proved to be no different...absolutely delicious
This is another of my favorite teas. The flavour is not too strong, yet is distinct and compliments the flavour of the tea well.
smelled nice, but not as much flavor came thru. Good mixed with vanilla, or cream.
Decent enough tea, but neither I nor my husband tasted any caramel in it, just a slightly sweet but otherwise plain black tea.
I didn't really care for this one. I didn't taste caramel, and no matter how much tea I used, or for how long it was steeped, it tasted bitter. My mother quite liked it, though.
I enjoy this tea blended with the chocolate flavored tea... so yummy! I get my sweet treat for the day!
I enjoyed the brew as much as I enjoyed the fragrance. An excellent tea to mix with other flavors. The only problem I have with any of the Adagio blacks is the time. I don't know how anyone can go 5 min. when at a full 3, the tea tends to go bitter in the pot the closer I get to the bottom of the pot. Even though there are no longer leaves in the pot.???
Being that I love caramel, this was great. It does need some additional sugar, though.
Did absolutely nothing for me. I didn't gag, but I definitely did not drink anymore of it after my third sip. The caramel flavor is extremely light, and it just doesn't mix well with the tea.
Great and smooth and refreshing. I will definately buy it again.
it has a light caramel taste not strong just right
I'm not a fan of flavored teas generally, but I bought this for my wife and she seemed to enjoy it. I did not care for it. It wasn't bad, but not something I would purchase for myself. I would not recommend this for those like me who prefer natural teas.
The smell is wonderfully warm and yummy, but the flavor just isn't there. I was disspointed that I couldn't taste the caramel after brewing.
has a sweeter smell than most of the other flavored black teas. taste very similar to the other flavored black teas. overall it´s very good. HEALTH CARE FOR ALL!
Nice flavor, but very subtle and not always recogizable as caramel
This tea has a wonderful scent (my first thought was that this would smell heavenly with apples!). I'm having my first pot this morning and it does have a wonderful taste. Not too heavy, but you can certainly pick out the caramel flavor!
Not your traditional caramel flavor. The scent is a little too sweet but the scent is stronger than the flavor. I think this one would make a good mixer.
Amazing with the perfect caramel touch. Just enough and not overpowering. A little stevia & almond milk is sooooo good.
I didn't care much for this tea by itself. It didn't really taste very 'caramelly' to me.
Not super-caramelly, but adds a nice flavor when blended with other teas.
None of Adagio's flavored teas have disappointed me yet. The caramel flavor in this tea is great! It makes a lovely dessert tea.
The smell is amazing but the flavor was underwhelming. Still it was there and I enjoyed it and I'm sure it will go well in a blend.
This had a really synthetic taste to it that I hated. Do not want.
Good on its own or mixed with another flavor. A favorite.
love it...mix it with vanilla and cream for a sweet, yummy flavor. not too strong, not too weak
PERFECT if you like sweet-tasting things, but a little overpowering. I couldn't finish the whole stample.
The caramel flavor wasn't quite what I expected. It tasted more like a sugar cookie than caramel to me. But if you like that kind of thing, then you might like this tea.
Almost like caramel candies, but in liquid form. Very tasty.
Only one word can describe this tea and that's, 'Rich'. It's great but not for people who don't like sweets.
This flavor has a natural sweetness to it and works great in combo with other flavors. Definitely one to have on hand!
Absolutely delicious. I've only had the sample for a week and it is already gone!
While I was expecting something different, this tea didn't disappoint. I'm new to black teas, but have taken fondly to this flavor. For a little something extra, try with a tbsp of vanilla or chocolate Ice cream!
It was an ok cup of tea (though it didn't taste much like caramel), but the flavor itself had an odd after taste.
sweet and light tea. good for someone who doesn't like overpowering flavor.
This tea was very smooth and not a very strong flavor. Not at all bitter, this tea went best blended with other teas such as chocolate, but was still good alone.
I'm a big fan of sweet tea and of caramel so I thought I'd give this tea shot. It smells overly sweet and tastes very artificial. I'm glad I only got a sample size.
I notice the caramel scent more then I can detect the taste fof the caramel, but this is still a smooth, not overly sweet tea.
