I enjoyed this. It smells a lot like caramel. The actual caramel flavor was not as strong as I would've preferred, but it was there.

Dude buy it. Just do it. It's so bomb diggity I could not believe my nostrils, nor my taste buds. It's CARAMEL. It lives up to it's name, yo. Trust.

★★★★☆

Received this as a free sample, so thanks Adagio! (Wish you guys could offer green teas as free samples, too -- do you? Hmmmm? Wheeeedle?) :p Caramel is a great tea when it is employed well in blends, as it can impart a sweet, brown-sugary flavor to a host of combinations. When tried solo it is quite nice, with an almost syrupy essence, although it naturally lacks the layered nuances and fuller-bodied flavors of a three-tea blend. This flavored ceylon really *demands* milk and sweetener -- without them, it can verge on bitter. A good, basic, sweet little tea.

I only tried it once on its own before realizing that this tea is best used in mixes. I throw it in with apricot, peach and apple all the time, with excellent results. On its own, though, it's not strong enough to make much of an impression.

★★★★☆

Sweet for a black tea, certainly doesn't need sweetening in my opinion. Nice for a warm drink on a still-cold spring morning.

★★★★☆

A little more biter than I like but in general a great tea

★★★★☆

Nice sweet flavor with a hint of molasses. Good staple tea.

★★★★☆

Very good tea, but a bit strong on the Carmel flavor. Very good mixed with the chocolate tea.

★★★★★

Very rich flavor a definite buy-again. A new FAV>

★★★★☆

Another sweet black tea. Smells strongly of caramel, but has only a slight sweet flavor. Best with milk and a little sweetener.

★★★★★

This one surprised me. I was expecting not to really taste the caramel that much but when I opened it an smelled it I feared it would be overpowering. It was a good balance however, you could really taste the caramel flavor, but it wasn't too much. Even my husband liked it.
This one would be great for mixing too!

Subtly sweet. The smell is more powerful than the taste when it comes to the caramel.

★★★☆☆

I was wishing caramel was stronger. I would try with a blend.

OMG, this is amazing!!! Nothing like the so-called competition!!

★★★★★

Great tea, smooth and sweet. It smelled and tested just like caramel.

★★★★★

Absolutely decadent!! Great for an afternoon sweet fix.

★★★☆☆

It was alright. Likely won't order again since I prefer many of the others but decent enough if you like caramel

★★★★☆

Well, this is definitely caramel--like, in your face caramel taste. Seriously, I felt a bit like I was being pelted with caramels instead of drinking them. It's all right, but a bit too strong in my opinion, and it occasionally has this burnt finish that isn't especially pleasant, especially after cooling (I definitely don't recommend icing this one). Definitely prefer this one in blends.

I'm relatively new to drinking tea but I wasn't overly fond of this one. The caramel flavor was a bit week.

★★★☆☆

This tea was your standard black tea. I didn't really taste any caramel, but it was worth a free sample, and I drank it with contentment.

★★★★☆

I like this and don't like this. I love the flavor, but it does have a bit of a harsh finish. I think I might really like a caramel pu-erh so it isn't as harsh. Maybe even a caramel-cream-chocolate blend. Mmm. That sounds pretty good! Anyway, I've been enjoying this in the evening with just a bit of stevia. It substitutes nicely for dessert as long as I don't let it steep too long where it gets a harsh finish.

Love this one. Smells great, and is tasty too...

★★☆☆☆

My first taste of this tea was not of caramel, but that it tasted like French toast with light maple syrup. I shared the tea with my husband, who also came to the same conclusion as I had. While the taste was not bad, it wasn't what I had wanted, nor was it what I had expected. Thankfully it was a sample.

★★☆☆☆

There's almost no taste whatsoever to it. It's actually ridiculously boring for me.

★★★★★

I love it! It has a nice subtle creamy flavor! Delicious!

★★★★☆

I use to mix with my Apple Chai but it's wonderful and adds that little extra to the Chai.

★★★★☆

Not overwhelmingly caramel-tasting, but enough of a caramel taste to blend well with Adagio's chocolate chip tea and milk for my special 'Twix' style tea treat!

good tea just becareful to not oversteep. gets bitter quick

★★★★★

It's like biting into a Caramello when you taste this tea!

★★★☆☆

Very strong tasting - and it almost tasted artificial? It is okay.. I don't think I will try this one again. Right now I'm cutting it with black tea to lessen the overpowering taste. Might be great for someone with a sweet tooth.

★★★★☆

This was good. Very very sweet and tasted like caramel.

★★★☆☆

The caramel taste didn't really come through for me, but the tes itself is ok

★★★★★

This is just bursting with flavor. With a little milk, this is a staple!

★★★★★

Loved the caramel taste! Very yummy! Will definitely buy again.

★★★★☆

I thought I would really like this tea but was a little disappointed. I mixed it with some candy apple tea and that made up for my disappointment.

★★★☆☆

This was a 'caramel-y' as I was hoping. It's really just ok.

★★★★★

This is a great mid day pick me up. Satisfying when my sweet toot kicks in.

★★★★★

It was like drinking a fresh made batch of caramel candy! A full experience from the smell to aftertaste, doesn't even need sugar

★★★★★

Sweet, rich and complex. This is dessert in a cup without over-the-top ingredients or flavors. Caramel, maple syrup and brown sugar with a smoky tobacco note along for the ride. More maple syrup forward than caramel, but still awesome. This decadence is a treat worth having.

★★★☆☆

Not very caramel... More like maple. Smells like pancakes

★★★★★

Really liked the rich flavor. I also mixed it with a little of the vanilla for a bit of a change up!

★★★★☆

I wouldn't recommend on it's own, but it's a great tea to mix with others. Can't wait to try more blends with it.

★★★★☆

It's a strong flavor, but not too artificial, and could overwhelm other flavors in a blend. I've been mixing it with hazelnut tea, which has been really nice.

★★★★☆

I LOVE CARAMEL BUT I USUALLY USE MY CARAMEL TEA MIXED IN WITH OTHER TEAS.

★★★☆☆

On its own it doesn't taste so good to me, but once you add in honey it really comes to life and tastes like you're drinking liquid caramel. This would go great with milk.

On my first encounter with this tea, I considered giving it a 'good' rating, and suggesting it for a nice blending tea.
However, 2 encounters later, I feel that it has earned it's merit as a solo tea. I brew it strong, throw in a little cream if I'm feeling decadent, and let it take me on a velvety ride through the unfortunate land of spreadsheets and paperwork.

I got this as a free sample a few months ago. I used the whole small packet and I think I over steeped it, so it tasted strong and bitter. I don't really think it was the tea's fault, though.

I love this tea, it's really good with milk and sugar.
