We really enjoyed this! Pretty strong blackberry scent, but once brewed it wasn't overly strong in flavoring
Ceylon black tea infused with sweetly tart berries. Floral-fruity and bakery aroma, like fresh berry scones.

We really enjoyed this! Pretty strong blackberry scent, but once brewed it wasn't overly strong in flavoring
Blackberry has become my new favorite. My go to has always been current black but this one is close. Nice bold slightly sweet taste for early morning sipping.
This one takes a bit to get used to...it's kind of bitter if you don't add sweetener. Not a favorite.
I found that this was not a tea to leave the teabag sitting in the water. Steep it and take it out. Very good flavor!!
I found this tea to be exactly as described, a well-done Blackberry tea. The Blackberry flavor came through well and did not taste artificial. I'll definitely put this one in my tea rotation.
This was a great and sweet tea. It smells sweet and seemed to have a sweet finish. I am more used to a bit of a tart or astringent tea such as found in the Earl Grey variations, so this was a nice little surprise. I had tried a sample of this before in the 4 Berries sampler box and had forgotten how lovely this tea smells and tastes.
I'm already a fan of blackberry sage oolong, so it's not surprising that I would like this flavored black tea. It is tasty either hot or cold, but I think having it iced is the way to go for a refreshing sip.
For me this one is about a 3.5 when it is by itself. I love blackberry and even love the blackberry flavoring Adagio uses in this tea. The 1.5 star deduction I believe is all due to the raspberry leaf. I watched my brew time and I am almost certain the floral bitterness came from the leaf and it was quite bitter. I actually like raspberry leaf in more busy blends. I will say this is a 5 star tea as a blend component since it is really not that hard for almost any other ingredients to cut the leaf bitterness easily to make some amazing blends. Decent black tea base with amazing juicy blackberry flavor and a floral bitter raspberry leaf taste. Drank this hot with nothing added. 212° 3.5 min.
I felt like the blackberry flavor was lacking. I thought a splash of cream and a couple sugars might bring it out of hiding, but no.
I brewed for 2.5 minutes at 175 degrees to try to avoid bitterness from the black tea and the raspberry leaves. No additions.
I didn’t taste the blackberry at first but slowly started to notice it more. I didn’t find it artificial or medicinal. I did leave a little to cool and did find it bitter when cold, which is a shame as I love a blackberry iced tea. I would order this if available in a decaf version as I limit my caffeinated black tea to before noon and already have several different kinds that I adore.
another great flavored black tea, just enough bite for blackberry, without being puckerish.
CommuniTEA sample: 3 min @ 195 F. I'm not sure if this really tastes like blackberries, which is disappointing because I really enjoy them. I find that the Ceylon and the raspberry leaves both get kind of bitter and distract from what blackberry flavor there might be. It does have a bit of a jammy aroma, but otherwise it felt fairly generic and artificial for berry flavoring.
Despite the strong aroma upon brewing, I actually found the taste of this one to be quite mellow. I steeped according to instructions, but wish that I would have doubled the time instead. Still, it yielded a nice flavor that actually tasted more raspberry-forward to my palate. I didn't finish my entire cup before the tea went cold, and when I returned to it hours later I decided to finish it anyway. The flavor was actually much stronger when the tea was cold. So much so that I wish I would've prepared it this way at the start.
This blackberry tea is a tad tart, but still fruity. It was nice to drink with a sweet pastry!
The tea had a nice blackberry aroma when I opened the packet and brewed into a lovely tart-sweet berry cup of tea that I quite enjoyed.
Very good. Strong blackberry flavor. I think it would be better as iced tea instead of hot.
The flavor reminds me of bubblegum more than blackberry. Not a favorite for me but it’s also not bad.
I love the taste of this tea because I can taste the flavor of blackberry in it
I thought I was going to love this, and was surprised to find that I was disappointed. The currant tea is better. The blackberry version is too tart for my liking. I drink my tea iced, brewed overnight in my fridge.
If you like blackberries you will enjoy a cup of Blackberry tea. This Tea has your blackberry favorite and it’s the spot. 🥰
Was a good tea, probably one of my favorite r. I always make my tea from my boiling pot. Sit overnight in pot. Then Boil for 5 mins. 1 liter add1liter of ice
The flavor really pops against the black tea. I like it.
A little weak flavored if I'm being honest, it definitely needs to steep for longer than just 5 minutes. What flavor there is is really lovely though!
This is excellent in flavor needs no sugar. This is a wonderful tea for ice tea.
This is my all time favourite tea! Great mild flavour. Unfortunately I can't order it until the trade war is over, because I got dinged with another 50% on top of my order, coming into Canada.
At 59 I just discovered I liked blackberries and now I'm obsessed! I always thought they would be bitter as a fruit like raspberries. I love this as an iced tea. It is sweet on its own but I add a touch of lemon and a bit of sugar and it is perfect. I go through a pitcher every 2 days.
Nice strong scent of blackberry is just what I was looking for. Testing sugar levels to see how it might bring the flavor out even more!
Blackberry is one of my favorite berries and flavors. I was looking forward to finding a blackberry tea. This tea tastes like a poor attempt to create a blackberry flavor with chemicals. The ingredients say 'natural blackberry flavor.' It does not taste natural or blackberry.
<Update>
Ok, I gave this another shot. I finally arrived at 5 minutes at 212 degrees Fahrenheit (originally 3 minutes). I came to this over several cups and hope this will continue to grow on me. One of my current tips for this is to let the liquor sit for for a bit (two minutes) after the steep.

This one is so versatile and lovely. In its own it’s great but also mixed with cream or currant or both have been a winner
the best blackberry tea I've ever had. Made the best iced tea, and NO SUGAR needed! I will definitely repurchase this tea!
It tastes like when you get spitback from your vape. It SMELLS lovely. Sometimes I really question what Adagio is thinking, though. Incredibly artificial.
This Definitely is a hint. I added a little bit of vanilla coffee creamer and it was great with some afternoon biscuits.
Nice tea both iced and hot! Enjoyed with milk and without!
A nice sipping tea on cool evenings. I think it would make a nice idea tea as well.
Great berry flavor, doesn’t taste artificial, no aftertaste, great cold or hot.
This tea is tasty and crisp. Perfect as an iced tea during my work day. Blends great with either peach or blueberry black teas
I love fruit trees iced in the summer. This one is great.
Love the deep berry flavor! Strawberry and raspberry Teas always taste sour to me, no matter how I brew them. This is the only berry tea that turns out deep and flavorful without any sour notes
This tea smells soo good!! Which explains why I love the smell of some of my favorite blends that have blackberry in them. Blackberry is a hard flavor to mimic, I think, because blackberries themselves are just juicy and sweet (kind of like cherries, anything cherry flavored tends to taste artificial). This does have a slight artificial flavor to it, maybe a little bit like Berry flavored jello or something, buttt..I'm not mad about it! In my quest to find the perfect way to brew Ceylon, I brewed this whole packet in 12 oz, at 195 degrees for about 2 min and it was pretty good! This one is also good for blending. :)
I absolutely love all Adagio Berry teas! This tea is fabulous with a bit of creme & sweetener of your choice...Also Blackberry does quite well in blends!
Fall 2024 - liked it even more this time! sweet 'blackcurrant/blackberry' smell and flavor, not too strong.
I liked it - I could see it being medicinal if it was too strong, but it's pleasant; black tea with a pleasant blackberry flavor.
A nice black tea with a fruity tone, and a pleasant aftertaste.
A good, tart, and not fake tasting Blackberry! Very good in blends too
This isn't my favorite fruit favored tea, but it's not totally offensive. For whatever reason some flavored have an almost powdery, medicinal taste to me; however, there is more depth of flavor and complexity to this tea.
The choice of Ceylon tea is fantastic. The scent out of the package is so sweet and yummy. The raspberry leaves a bit of an astringent or bitter taste at the finish. Fine, I'm sure, with some milk, but black is a little too much for me.
Update: No metallic flavor in this batch! Just delicious berry goodness. Last time must have been a fluke. 5 stars.
Previous Review:
I don't know what to think of this one. Hot, I got a strange metallic flavor under the berry that was definitely not tasty. Warm, the metallic flavor faded and the berry flavor came forward which was tasty. As a result, I'm giving this a solid middle-of-the-road rating. (3 min @ 212°F)
I love blackberries and this tea harkens back to my childhood when I would pick blackberries in my neighbor's yard. Just amazingly yummy.
Upon opening the bag, I was hit with a strong berry scent... and a wave of nostalgia for a liquid antibiotic I took as a child (in the best way possible). Don't take this as being negative as the tea doesn't smell or taste medicinal at all.
The berry flavor provides a slight sweetness to the sometimes bitter black tea base. Makes a love cup of hot tea and would be quite refreshing iced I would imagine.
This blackberry tea is wonderful! The blackberry flavor really shines through, and the black tea wasn't bitter. Don't add sugar,it will taste sickly sweet.
At first I wasn't sure about the thought of Blackberry tea but ordered a sample pack as it was 1/2 price. I love it! It has such a great flavor. I enjoy putting it in a disposable tea bag, having it first in the morning hot and then taking the tea bag and any left over cooled tea adding ice and enjoy for an afternoon ice blackberry tea.
