Good tea, very cherry forward. I like the black tea and cherry combo, surprisingly good.
Black tea with the playful tanginess of rose hips, and the deep cherry sweetness is kept in balance with a touch of juicy, grounding blackberry. Iced, it is refreshing and delightful. Served hot, with a splash of cream, it is decadent and dreamy.

Good tea, very cherry forward. I like the black tea and cherry combo, surprisingly good.
Delicious! I love the yummy wild cherry tea. I love to blend this flavor with other teas. The tea doesn't taste like cough drop-syrup in my opinion.
I steeped this at 200F and it was surprisingly astringent. There was plenty of cherry flavor, but it wasn't exactly...tasty. I've noted in other 'cherry' teas that the flavoring doesn't taste right and it's the same story here.
It would be much better if it wasn't immediately bitter if oversteeped. The aroma it's heavenly, but deceptive of this.
My son gave it a 5 out of 5. I give it a 4. I loved the smell and liked the tea with and without sugar. When it cools off the black tea kind of took over the flavor. I want to try it iced and will purchase a sample pack of it soon.
I let it steep for 2 minutes and added 1/2 packet of stevia. It brought out the cherry. Did not tase any rose. But it certainly did not taste like cough syrup. Not at all. I let it cool and was pretty good.
Lightly sweet and tart - this one is great for breakfast with a little milk and honey!
When I opened the packet, it smelled of Vicks Cherry Cough Drops, which is not a good thing . .. fortunately, the flavor was not that intense -- and it wasn't even an unpleasant cup -- but the pre-brewing smell was so off-putting I couldn't embrace the tea.
I loved this as an iced tea! It’s sweltering and sticky, but this tea was the best way to keep cool and watch the summer pollinators visit all the flowers today-just the perfect kind of sweet.
This tea smelled like a cherry Popsicle to me, and had a similar flavor. I didn't feel the need to sweeten at all based on the natural sweetness already in the tea.
I tried this though the August CommuniTEA box.
This reminds me of a black forest cake. The cherry is very potent. Don’t let the smell throw you off it doesn’t taste like medicine
Not a pucker up sour cherry taste I was expecting but I do taste the hint of cherry. I almost wish the rose was not there as it masks the cherry flavor.
Smells much more cherry than it tastes but there's plenty of pleasing tart with each sip.
Tastes like cough medicine with a bitter after taste. No amount of sugar could fix this. Not good hot or cold
I liked this. Definitely smells like cough syrup when opening the bag, but the cherry flavor works well when brewed. Enjoyed this both hot and iced.
Eh. It's not overly cherry, but it's got enough to taste it. I found it to be a bit artificial and reminded of cold medicine.
Tried in my August communiTEA box- it definitely has the strong smell of cherry cough syrup or a cherry lollipop. I found the flavor to be more lollipop-like and after trying it plain I added some cream and vanilla syrup.
I personally do not like Cherry, but if you do like cherry this may be a flavor for you. right out of the bag, strong cherry flavor that for me brought back medicinal childhood memories. However, if you like that cherry flavor, this may be for you and as my fellow samplers have suggested perhaps blend it, pair it with something else. I am personally thankful that I only had to have one cup of this, my personal Kryptonite is Cherry. I only sampled this as part of the CommuniTEA (August Box)
Smells like cherry hard candies: super sweet with a bit of weird artificial zing. Tastes about the same, but less potent. This is definitely more of a bright red, maraschino cherry than a dark, sweet cherry.
(August CommuniTEA box)
As others said, this tea smells like cough syrup, but it tastes ok with a splash of cream.
Not bad, but I wish the cherry was a little stronger. It's like holding a cherry lollipop in your mouth while drinking black tea.
The smell was delightful and intoxicating and I was very excited to try it. Was surprised by the complete lack of sweetness when I tasted it. It is very dry as they stated, and almost bitter. Seemed to taste flat when compared to the smell, so I added honey and a touch of lime. It was pleasant but not necessarily my fav!
A strong black tea that smells and tastes as promised, of cherries. I prefer the actual juice of cherry to just the flavor, so this tea, while it lives up to it's name, is only OK for me. If you love the flavor of cherry definitely go for it!
(3 mins @ 212⁰F)
I did not enjoy this tea. It smelled amazing dry but once steeped it has a very weird flavour. Not even sure I can finish the whole cup.
I am really glad I read Jim Rs review before steeping. His instructions were perfect. Steep slightly lower temperature and for less than three minutes. The cherry is not my favorite, but overall it isn’t bad
This was part of the August CommuniTEA box. I steeped for 3 minutes and the tea smelled great but I found it a bit bitter without sweetener.
I think it smelled and tasted like cherry cordials (chocolate covered cherries). So, if you like cherry cordials, you might like this tea. For me, the cherry taste was too reminiscent of acerola cherries, which have a very medicinal taste. I drank this tea with cream and sugar, which helped calm the cherry flavor down a little.
This tea was part of the August '20 communiTEA box. When I opened the package, it smelled like a Luden's cough drop. Once it's brewed, the cherry flavor is not as powerful as the initial smell would suggest and the taste is not medicinal. The cherry flavor is tart rather than sweet. Be careful not to go over the three minute steep time on this or the black tea becomes bitter.
When I first opened this tea I was hit with the overwhelming aroma of cherry and got excited because it was reminiscent of a cherry pie. Once brewed - the cherry scent still lingers but the flavor is lost among the black tea. I feel like a green or oolong tea might be better suited for the sweet and tart flavor of cherry.
I got this in the August CommuniTEA box. I didn't dislike this as much as others did, but I definitely did get the cough syrup flavor others talked about. It wasn't extremely strong or overpowering for me, though. The fruity profile was fairly understated. Ultimately, this made for a perfectly fine morning cup. (I'm willing to cut a bit of taste slack for any tea that is highly caffeinated!)
Not sure how to rate this one. It was ok but tasted like a cherry freezie. Not one I will buy.
Husband loves the aroma. The cherry takes all the black tea bite without the need to add sweetener. Big win!
I sampled this tea as part of the August CommuniTEA. This tea was just OK for my palate. The cherry came through exceptionally strong on the nose when I opened the bag,, however flavors were substantially more mellow than the aroma. I’m glad I tried this tea, but I likely won’t buy again.
I have to say that I love cherries, but hate everything cherry flavored. I couldn't even drink this tea, that's how awful I found it. No thanks!
To me, the cherry flavor came across really strong. It reminded me of Luden's throat drops. I do think this tea would be great as a cold brew with some other fruity flavors...I bet my kids would love it!
I think this would be best as a blend tea, the smell is medicinal, which is a hard thing to overcome. Tastes pleasant enough, but the mind is powerful thing, and once the scent of medicine enters your senses, it’s difficult to put that aside and enjoy the tea.
Smells and tastes like a delightful cherry! Enjoyed!
Part of the August 2020 CommuniTEA Box. The sweet scent was a bit off putting, but not in a medicinal way. The taste is a little numbing on the tongue, but delicious all the same.
If you love cherry the way I do, you will love this tea! Nice cherry flavor without being overwhelming. Adagio makes some of the best cherry blends. I am always happy with my choice whenever I order any of Adagio’s cherry teas!
Nice flavor. Made with some honey and it was really good. I love cherry anything and this was perfect.
tasted like cough syrup but not sweet meaning very bad no thank you
Yikes... The smell is very artificial and the taste is much like the gel topical anesthetic I've had at the dentist's. It also lingers. Did not enjoy this one at all unfortunately.
Finally a cherry tea that does not taste like cough syrup! It is so good as a iced tea! Will be buying a 16oz soon!
Very nice tea! The cherry flavor was a bit subtle, and the smell is very mellow.
pretty fruity, but not my favorite, was better with some milk
Pretty good! Liked the smell! It was easy to make!
This is an o.k. tea. I am a big fan of cherry flavoring, artificial and natural. When I saw Cherry Tea by Adagio--and it had been SO long since I refilled my tea cabinet, I was excited to nab this one. I use bottled spring water for my tea, and heated the water in my 2008 UtiliTEA kettle (STILL WORKING 12 years later) to temp and measured correctly, steeped for 3 minutes and tasted without sweetener. It does smell like cherries. And the aftertaste is cherry--but it is the kind of cherry I would associate with a halls, a cough syrup, etc. There's a faint aftertaste that is not tea and not cherry bitterness that I almost want to say tastes plastic. I am not sure how to describe that--picture being a kid in the early 80's again where they made toys scented. It was almost like that. I'm not too disappointed, as Adagio more than makes up for it with their other teas.
perfect cherry taste and smell! I love that this is real cherries
Wonderful tea with a perfect cherry flavor! Would definitely recommend for anyone who loves cherries!
Lovely tea just not for me. the cherry left to much of a bitter note in the back of my mouth.
