This was surprisingly delightful - the only vanilla thing about it is the flavor, as the tea comes off as complex, rich, and easily blended with other flavors, either in a custom blend, or just on your own. I recommend some peach or apricot and either ginger or a bit of earl grey.

Very sweet, with a strong natural vanilla flavor. It does taste a lot like sugar cookies, especially with just a touch of honey added. Not my favorite, but a really lovely dessert tea.

I don't normally drink decaf tea but had to stop drinking caffeine for a bit, so this was a really nice alternative. The tea is light but the vanilla gives it a little body.

This tea was very delicious. I added it to an Irish Blend from a local tea shop and it was the perfect compliment to the black tea. I can't wait to try it with other, decaf black/chai teas. I used about a 1:4 ratio of vanilla to Irish Blend. I normally drink milk with this specific Irish Blend but the vanilla was just the perfect hint of sweet and creamy that no milk was needed! Personally the vanilla flavor would be too overwhelming on it's own but this will definitely be a go to for making blends.
I was curious to know whether or not this would taste different from the regular vanilla but it doesn't so that's good, lol
I really like this tea. I makes GREAT chai. (I make my own with the whole spices. No mix has ever compared.) It's good plain too. The vanilla flavor is mild and sweet. It's a nice evening treat. My favorite way to drink it is mixed in equal parts with decaf stawberry and chocolate chocolate chip. That mix is my favorite beverage. I drink it daily with 1 tsp. of coconut oil...good for you and it mellows the tea. AND of course 1/2 and 1/2.
I followed the brewing directions and it came out pretty light. It's tasty, and I'll keep drinking it, but I think in the future I will be brewing for more than 3 minutes.
I really really enjoy this tea. One of my go-to before bed cups, really smooth and light, for a black tea. Delicious.

Amazing flavor. Perfect for an evening cup of black tea with the quality and flavor I've come to expect from Adagio's regular black teas. I was worried the vanilla would be mild, but it isn't.
Just ok...not my favorite. It's just ok. I usually finish my entire cup of tea, but this one was just kind of bland and I got tired of the vanilla flavor. It does smell really nice. If you like vanilla this is a great choice, but don't expect to get any other flavors from it!

Was not quite what I was hoping. It's a very mild tea and yes, I know I was looking for a vanilla tea specifically, but this tea had pretty mild vanilla flavor.

This decaf tea does not taste of vanilla to me, it rather has a slightly flowery, artificial violet aroma. However, it s an o.k. alternative to herbal tea for the evening.
I have always liked vanilla and this tea has the flavor. Drink it quickly while it's warm! If you are like me and occasionally forget or let the tea cool for too long this tea becomes bitter.

This one's really nice at the end of a long, rainy day. 4 stars because it suffers a little from the flavoring-over-weak-tea syndrome I've noticed with a few other teas here, but in this case a tiny bit of sugar evens out the flavor, and I'm sure it would be good with some cream if you happen to swing that way. Overall, quite cozy.

Got this for when my mother wanted to try something new. It's good with a little bit of rock sugar! The vanilla flavor is nice, not overpowering! I like a splash of vanilla soymilk to boost the sweetness and flavor. It's good in blends, fares pretty well on it's own. I like to mix it with peppermint, orange spice, and chai for a non caffeine boost.
A super smooth tea, not at all bitter despite the fact that I totally overbrewed it. Great vanilla flavor. Can get a little bit of weird aftertaste but that could just be because I leave my tea hlder in while I drink my tea.

This is very mellow. I wouldn't say it's vanilla-bean or vanilla-cookie good, but it's smooth and slightly sweet and just fine on its own. I actually buy it mostly to mix with other teas -- especially when I want a bit less caffeine -- and it works so well with others. Terrific for blends!
I used to try other companies' decaf teas and just didn't like the flavors. I also 'felt' a little caffeine, I think. But I decided to try Adagio's decaf black and... it's good! No hint of caffeine jitters, not bitter, good black tea! It doesn't have the complexities of most of their caffeinated teas, but I love that I can have black tea mid afternoon and still sleep well.

I wish the vanilla flavor in this would come across a little stronger. I find that both the decaf vanilla and regular vanilla from Adagio are a little lacking in the vanilla punch. Overall, it's a tasty tea for evening drinking though.
