I brewed this as the CommuniTEA packet today with reservations. I believed I would be handing my mug off to my husband after my first sip. I was so wrong! My first sip and I was in love with this tea. It is very tasty and calming. No sweetener needed for me. A wonderful tea!

I cannot even say how awesome this tea is. I love this tea on cold mornings and especially during the holidays. I got some for a friend and they loved it. I had to order them another bag for Christmas and needless to say they are happily sipping their tea on the cold winter mornings.

A pleasant, easy to sip and delicious decaf blend. Cinnamon gives a pleasant spicy boost to the nutty hazelnut taste while the cocoa nibs add a touch of chocolate. The orange flavor not detectable on its own, stays behind the scenes and adds a bit of brightness which comes forward more at the finish. Smoothing all flavors is the creme. Dairy and sweetener adds help elevate the flavors and make the tea more dessert-like. All the flavors blend well to make this a wonderful anytime sip.

My CT packet has a delightful hazelnut/cinnamon aroma. All ingredients are there at 3 g/ 2 tsp. I brew at 195*F for 3 minutes to make 14 oz. and resteep 7 oz. for 3:30 minutes. I have a sample pouch handy and make several new cups that are stronger. My favorite is a 12 oz. brew using 2 tsp. of tea steeped at 200*F for 5 min., the maximum time suggested in the tea lore. No bitterness is detected from the Ceylon tea base in any of the steeps. This is delicious and will be a welcome addition to my night time teas.

Personally, I would give this tea 3 stars because I’m just not partial to cinnamon with hazelnut, but I have to admit this tea is pretty well flavored and probably tastes amazing to someone who would like that flavor combination.

I love hazelnut and cinnamon so this is delightful for me. The creme flavor can be hit or miss for me, but I think it works nicely here. Already wishing I had more! Steeped 3ish mins @ 200°

It smelled wonderful in the bag, but had a much milder flavor once it'd steeped. Despite that, it was still pretty good.

This is pure indulgence in a cup. 4 minutes at 200F is perfect for the creme and hazelnut to combine into a rich, silky mouthfeel. As a cinnaholic, there's not enough cinnamon - but I'm willing to concede that my small packet may have missed out and a larger bag could be better. The ceylon provides a pleasant base but recedes into the background, allowing you to almost forget you're drinking tea. It's sweet and creamy enough on its own, but any additions would make a delightful treat!

I'm new to nutty teas! This was a nice introduction. It reminded me of cinnamon toast crunch when I opened the bag, but tasted similar to horchata...which I adore. So good! :)

When I opened my CommuniTea packet, I was met with aromas of cinnamon and the hazelnut. I steeped the tea for about 3-4 minutes. The flavor of the tea is very hazelnut forward with a nice balance of creme. The cinnamon taste isn't as prominent, but it still a delightful tea! It is a wonderful tea to end the day with!

Nice smell of hazelnut topped off with cinnamon came from the opened packet and that was how it tasted with the cinnamon not overwhelming the hazelnut as happens in some of the teas. Most enjoyable.

I do like DHCC 😀
I took an initial sip and liked - but was curious and jumped to a suggestion to add milk (I tried unsweetened almond milk in tea for the first time) and it was very silky and calming. Surprisingly I think the almond milk elevated the hazelnut flavoring and suppressed the cinnamon because the cinnamon came thru more sans milk 🤔

This blend is great; Finding out that I really do enjoy Hazelnut as a flavor, something about the almost chocolatey flavor too it always hits the spot. And the cinnamon is a great addition as well, Didn't have any sugar to add but the tea still came out sweet.

Decent tea can't complain, decaf is bonus points because now I don't feel as bad for drinking a few cups of high caffeine tea.

Made this tea into a latte with 2% milk. The tea gives you a nice warm feeling with the cinnamon not overpowering the other flavors. A great decaf option to my chai love!

This has been one of my favourite teas since I started drinking Adagio, and nothing has changed. The cinnamon is subtle and the hazelnut is oh-so inviting, with the creme rounding out the palate beautifully. This one is a go-to in my house.

When I saw this packet in my CommuniTEA box, I wasn't very excited to try it. But wow, I am sure glad I did! It is a nice warm and welcoming tea and I can really taste the cream. I will definitely get this again.

Decaf Hazelnut Cinnamon Creme

Recommended Steep 212°F for 3-5 minutes. I steeped at 190°F, to avoid bitterness, for 4 minutes in approximately 11 oz of water with 1.5 tsp of Adagio tea/rock sugar.

This blend smells really good upon opening. Creme with a touch of cinnamon, and maybe a little chocolate or hazelnut in the background. After steeping, and while piping hot, this is a cinnamon forward tea with a bit of crème in the background. As it cools the flavors blend a little more and the tea is very smooth. The chocolate also begins to make itself known.

I is a little weak for my liking, but that may be do to the amount of the tea in my CT packet and the amount of water used. Orange becomes more noticeable as the blend cools further. All in all, this is an enjoyable blend and I would give it 4.5 stars, but for the fact that the base tea upset my stomach a little, even while taking steps to prevent this. However this is my body’s reaction to certain black teas in general, and apparently Ceylon in particular. I think anyone who likes the flavor profile and can handle the base tea will be very pleased with it. I’m giving it 4 stars.

Today's CommuniTea packet was decaf hazelnut cinnamon creme, made of decaf Ceylon tea, cinnamon, cocoa nibs, orange, marigold flowers, and hazelnut, cinnamon and creme flavors. I love hazelnut coffee, and I was disappointed with the hazelnut tea last week, so I was only expecting this to be so-so. But the cinnamon, cocoa and other flavors apparently added some of the richness I felt was missing last week. I thought this blend not only smelled good, but tasted really good as well. A nice tea!

I enjoy decaf teas. This had a pleasant spicy flavor. I am not sure if the Hazelnut flavor is for me.

UPDATED from 11/6/22: The strong smell of hazelnuts wafts up from the open CommuniTEA packet. It steeps (at a lower temp to keep black tea bitterness to a minimum) into a clear medium amber. It works as the tea is delicious and full bodied with no astringency. Adding ¼ teaspoon of sweetener (to 10 oz) and a little heavy whipping cream smooths out all the flavors and this tea now tastes like a torte cake. The hazelnut and cinnamon remain longer in the finish, making this a great dessert tea. (3 mins @ 200F + sweetener and cream).

This is a blend that I always keep in my stash. Lots of hazelnut flavor with a dash of cinnamon against a black tea backdrop. Smooth from the creme flavor. This is wonderful with milk. Brew at a slightly lower temp to avoid ceylon bitterness.

This has to be my absolute favorite tea of all time. The flavor is bold, but not harsh and the combination of flavors gives you that “sitting by the fireplace feeling” in a cup. I have bought this tea, and given it to friends, and each of them have fallen in love with it as well. This is my go to when I am not drinking coffee… It’s that good!

★★☆☆☆

Not what I was hoping for. Maybe I am not familiar with hazelnut but I couldn’t even taste the cinnamon. There is also an aftertaste, almost soapy. I had too heavily add cream and sugar to really enjoy it.

This tea smells so good, it almost smells like a dessert. On my first order I ordered only samples, not knowing a lot about these teas. But this is the first one I tried and finished. Definitely going to be ordering a bigger bag next time.

This one has such an interesting flavor. Nutty and a little woody? Either way, delicious. However, the grounds did make it through my strainer, which was a little annoying.

I struggle to find a good caffeine free tea to enjoy in the evenings since I'm really not one for fruity teas, and this blend really hit the spot perfectly. With a splash of cream and a bit of brown sugar, I feel like I should sink into a fuzzy blanket by a fire place.
Now if I could have this in a caffeinated version, that'd be GREAT. cuz this is my new favorite tea to make as a latte 😍

I'm surprised by how much I didn't like this one. It was a bit watery in the cup, no noticeable hazelnut and very light cinnamon, but it also burns my tongue a bit with a kind of peppery cinnamon note, like essential oil. This is the first Adagio tea I'm not really a fan of, even with sweetener and milk, unfortunately. Maybe I need to make it stronger?

This is an exceptionally smooth nutty tea that needs some adjustments before it lives up to its full name. Hazelnut is certainly the overwhelming flavor. Cinnamon is strangely faint against the hazelnut. I would prefer some more cinnamon as a cinnamon fan, particularly because it’s in the title. Creaminess is represented as more of a feel than a flavor, which is odd with a watery tea. Together these components are diluted and less satisfying than they ought to be. I recommend using more dry tea than usual in order to punch up the strength of the overall cup.
Note: Adagio has some seriously delicious decaf so the fact that it’s not one of my favorites and still at least 3 stars is a testament to that deliciousness!

I mostly tasted the hazelnut without any cinnamon nor cream flavor. I steeped using 195 F water x 3 min to avoid bitterness and added monk fruit sweetener in hopes to bring out the cinnamon and cream flavors. No luck so I added heavy whipping cream anyway.

Steeped just a little cooler than 212 degrees, and added a little bit of sugar and cream... This tea is a hug in a cup! I'll definitely order more!

The scent from the pouch was encouraging. The cinnamon was most distinctive. I wasn't sure after I let it steep, what would win out in a battle of several strong flavors: cinnamon, creme, or hazelnut. After steeping, the hazelnut won out. The creme tempered it well, and improved the flavor. I have a feeling that if I found the right type of creamer to add to this, it could be a 5.

Smells absolutely spectacular out of the bag, and actually carries hints of buttered popcorn along with the hazelnuts and cinnamon (more than 'creme'). I brewed at 200 degrees for 3.5 minutes, and it was a lovely dark amber. The hazelnut and creme/buttery flavors come through at the beginning but the cinnamon actually gets a bit lost, which is kind of hard to believe how strong cinnamon can be. I didn't get any hints of it until the tea had cooled quite a bit and was 3/4 of the way gone. I did like it and would drink again, but it was not as good as I expected to be given how it smelled out of the bag and while brewing! The cinnamon getting lost definitely makes it a slightly more one-dimensional brew. Next time, I'll shake a little extra cinnamon into my mug and see what happens. Again, it's a good tea, just not as spectacular as some of the other caffeine-free blends I love here on Adagio!

Strong smell aside (reminds me of a Hazelnut coffee someone makes at work), I enjoyed it after adding a bit of milk to it (no need for sugar).

Overall, it was stronger on the hazelnut side of things.

I could drink this tea any afternoon. Yes, because it is decaf but also because of the beautiful flavors. The hazelnut was by far the strongest flavor with the cream somewhere behind. The cinnamon was weak for me but I think if it had been stronger it would have gotten in the way.

CommuniTEA review:
When I opened the packet, I could smell cream and Hazelnut. When brewed the tea had a beautiful light brown/amber color and smelled like Hazelnut. The main flavor is hazelnut, The cinnamon is more to enhance the flavor of the Hazelnut to give this tea a spiced nutty flavor. I really liked it. reminds me of fall. I also loved that I could put coffee creamer in this tea and still taste the tea!

CommuniTEA 11/6/22: this one reminded me strongly of some type of Starbucks drink with many syrups and whipped cream added on top... Which is good if you like those kind of things, but it just wasn't my jam. I could only drink about half a cup before the scent began to overwhelm me. I guess it just reminded me of hazelnut coffee too much, and I don't like coffee.
