My husband and I celebrated Valentines yesterday as today is also Ash Wednesday. I will be strong in Italian class today when the professor passes out delicizo Baci. Good morning!! Gearing up to pack up my work laptop and head to the library for a day of training with my newest coworker. She joined us at a really really super busy/stressful time and we thought an in-person workday would be a great thing. Since we live in the same town, easy peasy to head over to the library and make a day of it. :) Wish me luck -- I'm always hypercritical of my training abilities,but I must do ok or people wouldn't request me to do it. Started my day with some Irish Stout and I'm ready! :) Will have a coffee at the library while I'm there -- so far, theirs is the best in town! :) More tea when I get home to recover from an entire day of peopling. :) Taking my knitting to get some zen/de-stress time during breaks. :) I hope everyone has a super day!!!! I don't really celebrate Valentine's Day since I'm on my own now, but happy holiday to everyone who does!

G'morning! I just put some brownie mix in mini, bite-sized cake pans. I have some red icing and sprinkles I'll decorate them with after they cool. The hubs likes the bite-sized brownies you can get at the store so I bought these silicone molds and thought I'd surprise him today. If they come out somewhat decent looking I'll post a photo.

Happy Valentine’s Day and wishing a good start to Lent for all who observe the season. I got up early to go to Mass and my car wouldn’t start, so I borrowed my husband’s car for that and then spent a good deal of the rest of the day getting my car back in service. We had a nice dinner together. Well, the injection itself did not hurt but he had a hard time doing my left eye partly because my cornea is thicker supposedly, and partly because he asked me to look a black area on the slit lamp but he was moving it slightly so my eye was moving. He had to stabilize my eye with a Q-tip so it wouldn't move and now that part of my eye feels very dry and sore. Looking at bright lights/ screens hurts so I can't stay on for long. Hopefully everyone had a lovely Valentine's day!
