Good evening, everyone! I'm still awake since I napped so late. It's been really great seeing all of you wonderful people again! I've been doing alright for the most part in general; however, my chronic pain has gotten worse and I've had some random times where I have breathing troubles. I have a doctor's appointment scheduled for January. Hoping for the best! 🤞 I hope you all stay well and stay healthy! ❤️

Good to see you back. I'm just getting back into the swing of things myself funding time to visit. I live a life of chronic pain and ailments and a boatload of medications to boot so I'd like to share to you that I live each day as best I can. I Wake up knowing that I am breathing on my own although it is difficult and requires frequent shots, & much medication yet I still feel suffocation. I Wake up grateful that I have two legs to stand on and I use these abilities to do something good for someone else each day. This makes me feel good when all else might seem bad. Hang in there. Hoping you get a good January Dr report. Remember the words of JR Wooden, a coach.... DO NOT let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do. This is my motivation. Hugs! You are stronger than you think.

It might help to write down things that are happening during the random times to see if some kind of pattern emerges. When I was young I discovered eating stir fry with snow peas would give me migraines the next day.

Yes, absolutely! So far I've found eating overly hot or overly cold food seems to cause it, as well as spicy food, and also seems to happen if I go up and down the stairs or do anything really physical. Not sure how any of those are related though. Haha! XD

Well, it's not quite the same but at least I was able to upload "share your order" Tea photo of today's delivery! It was a small one but I'm looking forward to enjoying Peach decaf in the afternoons. Twyla, I so enjoyed your wondrous blend, Camp Out, this morning. It was the perfect tea to sip before our lovely walk. It is a combination of Lapsang Souchong, Chocolate Chip and Chocolate Chai, with cacao nibs. The Lapsang is present but doesn't overpower the Chocolate Chip or Chocolate Chai...lots of chocolate to sooth a chocolate craving. Yum! You can still heart pictures from the past. It does give that singular accolade point since I've gotten my non-member 5 points a day just like in October. It won't restore a photo streak, but it's something. I had been going back a day to get all the late pictures anyway, now I'm going back further.

Scrolling back in yesterday's chat looking for more about photos (I guess we all lost that streak :( ), Angelica asked "do you never sweeten your teas at all?" Normally I drink unflavored black teas, and I drink them straight almost all the time. If I have unflavored oolongs, greens, or whites, which is relatively rare outside CommuniTEA, I generally won't sweeten them either. Herbals and flavored teas I tend to sweeten though, and chais tend to get sweetened even more. The reason it probably seems like I sweeten tea so often is because a lot of CommuniTEA is flavored teas. But for my normal tea-drinking, the vast majority of my tea is straight unflavored black tea (a few mugs a day, usually).

Realized I had a free night at a hotel that was going to expire so my wife decided we make an impromptu trip to Kansas City last night for one night lol. Went to a restaurant called Fritz's where little train cars deliver food above you to your table and are then lowered on tiny platforms. Now we are spending the day at science city for the kids to have some fun before back in the car to go home and get to bed for Monday. No tea til I get home since I couldn't see packing my kettle for a less than 24 hr stay. Hope to hear an @adagio type answer on the photos tomorrow. I know we are all feeling that hit after the lack of CT for two months.

I saw someone mention a few days ago about not being able to leave opinions, but I thought it would just be the thumbs that were missing. I didn’t go to the opinions tab yesterday because I didn’t have gingerbread. I drank the rooibos vanilla chai, which I felt was dominated by the cinnamon and I didn’t get any vanilla, but then I figured out that I can’t rate it with stars or leave a review on the tab. ☹️. I understand that they don’t want reviews if you don’t try it but I think most people would only review after trying as I only write about teas actually tried (never those I skip because of allergens).

Complicated situation, typically there'd be a community box with all of the teas that are featured for the day in it )one sample each), when the community is up and running, and that box is in your hand, you will have the option to review that day that it is featured only. Other than that you have to buy the tea and review it within a certain set number of months through the site. So if the community returns in January you would be able to buy the community box and review each day. So right now the community is taking potentially a two month break with no box being available in November or December but you will be able to chat and potentially share pictures freely.

Well, my week of PTO is coming to a close. I had a nice rest! Back to work tomorrow! But, I have another week of PTO coming up at Christmas/New Years. So not long to wait! DDTS update -- I have 10 empty tea tins. And, my entire tea stash except for six 1 lb bags (four herbs and two teas) and a few unopened holiday/special teas (Brigadoon, cinco, irish stout, etc) now fits in my tea/coffee bar cabinet. Woot!! I want to keep sipping down until the 1 lb bags and unopened holiday tea also have space to fit into my tea cabinet. :) I've come a long way since my 2022 cross-country move when I packed up 5 large moving boxes full of tea.....I had tea on a bookshelf, baskets on the floor in front of the shelf, my tea cabinet, and two large desk drawers filled with tea when I unpacked in CO. I'm guessing another year of sipping and the stash will be tamed. :) I had a lot of tea.....still have a lot of tea.....but working on it! :) And let's face it....I will always have a lot of tea!! I just want to have a bit less.....so that it fits in its space!! :)
