A, I hope you're feeling better! Our low is supposed to be 40° tonight, too but we don't get the pretty colors out here in Southern California. We pretty much go from green to Brown, but I'm still happy for autumn.

I love finding abandoned homes, wish I could have gotten inside but there was a fence around it. Always makes me wonder about the story surrounding these structures.

John, I know what you mean. There's a great Old Homestead Place built of rough hewn rock a couple miles from us and a couple years ago the kids decided to vandalize it. 😡 broken glass and graffiti all over the place, which broke our hearts. However, somebody must love it because they boarded up all the broken windows and it looks like they're slowly restoring it. I love those old homes they have so much character, unlike the tract home boxes that are everywhere now.

So many great things to celebrate. One that I will be celebrating is Global Cat Day in honor of how much our cats are beloved parts of our lives. Thinking of you Sabby and Age.

Michelle, I will celebrate dictionary day. I love dictionaries and have the two-volume set of the Shorter Oxford English Dictionary, as well as the Compact Oxford English Dictionary (and a separate volume of the Compact Oxford English Thesaurus) I also have a huge 2,084 page American Heritage Dictionary. And, of course, a French dictionary and a dictionary of English English (Brit speak). My dream is to own the complete 20-volume set of the Oxford English Dictionary. And, yes, I have them by my reading chair and use them often.

I may have just posted my favorite picture of all time!! Hip, hip, hooray for the pain meds!!!💜🐈‍⬛💜 Thank you everyone for all the love and support, around midnight she ate for the first time since Saturday, she was living off broth, and slurry I was forcing her to eat with an old medcine syringe. Man my heart, I know it will be a few days to get her back to normal but we're finally heading in the right direction. Sabby and I are sending love and hugs to everyone!! 💜🐈‍⬛💜 We'll check in later, we're tucked in for a nap on the couch💜🥰😘

It’s such a relief to see her eating again! Interesting how the medication helped reveal underlying pain; clearly more than just stress from the vet visit. It makes me think about how abdominal palpation is part of feline wellness exams. Maybe they pressed on a spot that was already tender?

Age, that is a glorious picture! I have a little guy sleeping on my chest right now that we thought we were losing about a month ago. Of all the silly things it turned out he wasn't getting enough food with the bigger cats, so he now has his own private dining car next to my chair. He's put on quite a bit of weight and is happy and healthy. So J-Dub sends love to Sabby, and lots of encouragement!

Can it be? I’m a little chilled this morning? In Texas? Sweet! I’ve been chomping at the bit to wear my Halloween leggings but it’s just been to gosh darn hot. I’ll wear them this morning and most likely switch to something less warm in the afternoon since highs are supposed to be 88. Today’s tea will be saved for a much colder day as ginger tends to warm me up. So I went with some Pumpkin Spice for fall feels. May your Thursday be two thumbs up 👍🏻👍🏻.

Not Friday but since I was home today I’m having a gifted friends blend - Irishman’s Ghostly Berry Haunt. It is so good. All the fruits blend so well yet each one pops out. My plump little blueberries, slices of strawberries, the apples holding the other flavors - so delicious! Great job Irishman! 🫐🍓🍎😋
