Hi ChasiTEA!
12:56 am

Hello Jeff! Thank you for the batch of dumb dad jokes! I really needed the laughs tonight; it's been a tough couple days and that was great medicine; that and tea, of course! 😄

Good morning Jeff, you are bright and early this “T” day. Always wonderful to wake up with a smile. My young neighbors will enjoy them

Good Morning, Karen! I used to post more jokes, but have been distracted with new tea stuff I keep finding at thrift stores and posting that instead.
10:18 am
user icon
Jeff, that student loan joke is funny because it's true. Oof!
12:18 pm
user icon
Too true. And with a 15 and 17 year old, we are starting to look into costs and they are a bit higher than when I went. (many, many moons ago).
01:05 pm

Good morning! And in case I don’t see you, good afternoon, good evening, and good night! 😄

Between Sue and Michelle C's pictures, I'm reminded of a youthful misunderstanding. My first longterm job was at Build a Bear (9 years!). Everything was termed with "bearisms." We didn't have region managers, we had bearitory leaders. The payroll department was the Honey department. So when they gave my bearitory leader a company phone, I didn't actually realize Blackberry was a brand. And I legit thought it was another bearism and always thought of it as a "Black Beary." On that note, have a beary good day, you are all furbulous people who are always so happy to lend a paw...
08:37 am
user icon
Elizabeth, love your story. Thank you for sharing. Gave my husband and me a good laugh.
12:20 pm

That is hilarious! I laughed out loud reading this.

Haven't had blackberry yet, but I love blackberries. Hope it's a yummy one.
12:02 am

Our blackberry bush was plentiful this summer. I love to eat them right off the bush 😊
04:36 am
user icon
Yes! Growing up we also had mulberry trees, one with white berries and the other dark/purple/black. Used to love eating em right off the trees.

If I can get past the fact that a spider might be waiting to pounce at me... I think spider webs are so beautiful and interesting!
12:04 am
user icon
Spiderwebs are indeed pretty... spiders... kinda terrifying. But I'm also a wimp about all creepy crawlies (although I oddly liked snakes as a child).
12:22 am
user icon
Good morning, Julia!
12:30 am
user icon
Good morning Jeff! 👋🏼
06:35 am
user icon
That’s a beautiful web!
04:37 am
user icon
I thought so too, and these type of spiders create surprisingly strong webs! Pretty to look at but no fun to accidentally walk into 🥴
06:37 am

Pretty spider.

For a small angry cat, it sure is adorable too!
12:18 am

I keep looking at that little Buddha cat, too, when indulging in my 'porn' habit. Shopping for teaware, of course!

After trying all six, my favorite Wicked Tea is Pumpkin Patch, with Monster Mash in second place. I’m not surprised, those were the two I was planning to order for sure before I found out I could only get the real deal with sprinkles by trying them all.
12:03 am
AR
I've only tried two so far; Pumpkin Patch and Ghoul Gulp. I'll try Monster Mash tomorrow.
12:17 am

I just got my Wicked Tea today excited to try them.

Ahhh blackberry! As I said in my review last year. Blackberry has special memories for me! It was the first flavored tea I had as a you g kid when I stayed with my grandparents. So today I add a picture of them!

Hi Linda. Hi to Bear! Looks like you have a nice tea haul there.
08:05 am
user icon
My cup of tea was jammy but not overly sweet.
12:08 am
user icon
Oh I love blackberry tea! Especially with a little honey, or blended with earl grey. Blackberry earl grey is one of my favorite combos.
12:11 am
user icon
Specifically this blackberry tea with early grey or a different tea?
01:33 am
user icon
Any blackberry with any earl grey. I usually like earl grey bravo, but when I have moonlight, that is just heaven.
11:30 am
user icon
I agree! I actuallly made a blends of Earl great and Blackberry! 💕
01:46 am
user icon
It's one of my favorites!
05:49 am

Mmmm... blackberry blended with EG moonlight... that could be amazing! Maybe I'll attempt that with my second steep.
10:21 am

I just threw some Bella Luna in with my blackberry for the second steep

Thank you Tahlia. What are you knitting ? The colors are so warm and beautiful.
08:08 am

My phone was on verge on dying. So no flash on my pic that would have actually made the blackberries in the cap pop. Oh well.
12:15 am
user icon
Steffi, It is still a cool picture. Love the colors and I am amazed how you can pour the tea and take the shot without spilling. Every time I try it ends up all over the place.
08:10 am
user icon
Today's tea looks like it will be delicious. Can't wait to taste some of my Mom's later. I'm excited for her; she usually loves blackberry in tea! Anyway; good morning/good night. I've been losing against my chronic fatigue much more often lately. I'm going to see if going to bed a bit early helps. It doesn't usually, but one can pretend. I'll see y'all when I wake!
12:16 am
user icon
I hope you're feeling better today, especially for tomorrow's tea time. :) God bless..
04:41 am

Hope you are rested today.
08:10 am

Tahlia, did you know that optimum benefit from sleep is gotten from 10 til 6 ? Maybe you could test that out

12:08 pm
user icon
I love its pose!
12:51 am
user icon
I have to admit this is one of my favorite poses too... I might be guilty of overusing it
12:08 pm
user icon
Hi Ali, your dragons are adorable. I keep trying to figure out how you make them. Is it some type of sculpting clay?
12:59 am
user icon
I use polymer clay and 7 years of practice <3 I also have a BFA in 3D Media, so that can't hurt either! My professors always hated me because I ONLY made dragons! I've made them out of polymer clay, ceramic clay, steel, copper, silver, glass, wood, etc, so you could say dragons are my passion <3 My recommendation to anyone getting started with sculpting is to make 100 of whatever it is you want to make. They could all suck, but by the end of it, you'll be so much better at it!
12:07 pm
user icon
Ali, All of the dragons are so cute.
08:13 am
user icon
Thank you so much!!!
12:08 pm
user icon
Just my luck... we ate all our blackberries before I could take the tea photo for today. Not sure what I should do for the photo now
12:50 am
user icon
I sketched mine; all out of the real ones!
12:58 am
user icon
I'm not good at drawing... maybe if they were stick figure blackberries... lol
01:24 am
user icon
I found one of our teapots has a multicolored thing that kinda looks like a berry? Maybe it's like a "wildcard" berry for just this type of occasion?
01:29 am
user icon
I wish I could draw.
04:40 am
user icon
Your drawing is stunning btw!
12:11 pm
user icon
I would love to see James C give a try to stick figure blackberries.
10:06 pm
user icon
This is one of my favorite teas. I will brew a pot of it in the morning and sip it along with all of you even though I do not have the current monthly box.
01:07 am
user icon
I usually make my tea by the cup. How much tea would you use to make a pot? Your enthusiasm for this tea gives my high hopes for it. I'm looking forward to tasting it. God bless...
04:38 am
user icon
I use 4-5 of the adagio tea teaspoons in the infuser basket of the cold steep pitcher at night. It's perfect the next morning!
07:23 am
user icon
Marlicia, I have a small teapot in which I brew my morning tea. It holds 16 ounces of water and I use 5 grams of tea.
07:45 am
user icon
I got this one last time I had the communitea box! I tried it hot then, so I'll be trying it cold steeped this time. Super excited, I love berry flavored teas
01:25 am
user icon
HEY!! Has anyone turned liver their wicked teas? And read the bottom? 😉
01:49 am
user icon
Yeah! Love the witchy rhymes!
03:44 am
user icon
I love the curses. I'm going to do a whole pic series showcasing them. They are so cute!
09:44 am
user icon
Yes! Jeff was gracious to read one over the last Tea Talk for those of us who did not have them. When I got mine I read one to my husband who asked why I was cursing us. 😄
12:27 pm
user icon
Got my pic up! Blackberry plants were used to cultivate boysenberry plants so it counts, right?
03:23 am
user icon
I didn't know that. I love learning new things. I think it should count. :) God bless...
04:36 am
user icon
Speaking of learning new things! There is so much more to this site then pictures chat and reviews. I discovered Masters, recipes, interesting articles about tea and I see more that I need to explore.
10:10 pm

Good morning, everyone. It's early yet for my communiTea tasting. I still have to get my morning routine in gear, but once I'm on track I will steep my tea and post my picture. I'm really looking forward to it. God bless and have a wonderful day!

08:20 am
user icon
Sue, love the bear with the bowl of berries!!!
05:55 am
user icon
Happy Thursday, tea friends! To me, blackberries are a fruit I associate with a hot summer day. (Maybe because that's when ours are ready for picking?). Ahhh for a good blackberry cobbler.... I may have to pull some of my stash from the freezer and bake one. Today's tea is good sipped hot. Going to cold steep for afternoon refreshment, so I'll enjoy it twice.
05:56 am
user icon
Good morning Lilly, Have a great day.
08:21 am
user icon
Hello my sweet girl, you have been hiding your talents. You served me alushious dessert today and then posted it on the adagio recipe site. I wonder how many of our tea friends know about getting free tea and creating recipes with it. I hope some will go there and try one of the recipes( espescially the one you did today.
10:23 pm
user icon
Good Morning, Lilly. Definitely a fruity aroma and taste today.
05:58 am

Hi Cindi, Have a fabulous day, drink up some of those great tea finds.
08:25 am

I am intrigued by all the fun emojis a lot of people have earned and I am curious if anyone is able to give me an estimate on when new emojis will show for me to use? So far I am on day 27th of my chat streak and I don’t notice any new emojis yet.
06:47 am
user icon
With Day 7 you get the laughing/crying TEAmoji. On Day 30, you'll get the winking one. The others are accolade based.
07:39 am
user icon
Thank you for responding Anneke, I was also wondering about that. God bless
04:08 pm
user icon
+1 to what Anneke said. I think Elizabeth has the full rundown. Every 1,000 accolades you get a new emoji. Tongue Sticking out, Kissy face, band-aid, devil, angel, roll eyes... and that's as far as I got, but that is for 1K, 2K, 3K, 4K, and 5K accolades. Another few weeks before I hit 6K.
07:49 am
user icon
Wow! Emoji earners are like the X-men of CT chat! I had no idea. Thank u both for filling me in. I will do my best to earn my wings here
07:54 am
user icon
Jeff has them all but one! The last is the sobbing emoji (added it to Jeff's message so you can see it.) I'm still hoping we can get a "drooling" emoji for all the tasty treats and recipes people post!
08:44 am
user icon
I have 6363 accolades and still just have the wink laugh emoji. I'm thinking there is not another one to earn at this time. If you use your accolades do you lose your emojis?
09:39 am
user icon
@chasiTea, your accolade count keeps going, even if you redeem. You don't lose those teamojis. The wink laugh is one of the two chat streak teamojis. If you look at your teamoji pop up, there should be three groupings with a small space between. The wink is in the last grouping - those are chat streaks. The middle grouping (listed out by Jeff) are the accolade teamojis. At 6363, that should start with the tongue out and you should be up to the eye roll!
10:02 am
user icon
Awesome! Less than 200 to go before I earn the eye roll. Woot! 🙄
12:10 pm
user icon
Elizabeth that is good to know and makes sense. I do have the crying cup for accolades then. Is there one after that? I used it on your post.
06:56 pm
user icon
I finally got my eye roll. Now I can say I’ve arrived, lol 🙄😂
08:18 pm
user icon
@chasitea, that’s the last of the accolade teamojis. I vote we lobby Ilya for a drool teamoji during the zoom chat tomorrow…
08:37 pm
user icon
@elizabeth I like the idea of a drooling emoji! I think a sleepy emoji would be fun also.
10:44 pm
user icon
Drat! Second day of bad photo positions . Today , the heart is dead center of the cup, covering up the Beatrix Potter bunnies, which theme with the plate and ties in with the blackberry. Our backyard bunnies so do enjoy the black and raspberry brambles along our fence.
07:03 am
user icon
I am possibly queen of the re-upload photo 👑 I try to leave some room at the bottom and top of the photo.
07:25 am
user icon
As I'm looking on my computer, the heart is just above center, so I can see the Beatrix Potter characters, if that helps at all.
07:42 am
user icon
I am learning these techniques the hard way too 🤓
07:55 am
user icon
One key to the photos here is to take them using the "square" option with your phone. If you do that, there is very little cropping or resizing done by the site when they are uploaded and it's easier to control what goes where.
08:04 am
user icon
Unfortunately with the recently iPhone software update I no longer see the option to take square photos! Ugh, I rarely, of ever, used that feature and now that I need it I can’t find it! Hopefully all I need is more caffeine and photo square will magically appear again…thinking about this I will ask my 12 year old son to show it to me hahahaha
08:40 am
user icon
For iPhone it should be with the picture ratio (you may have to hit a caret mark to see the options before taking the picture).
12:33 pm
user icon
My daughter told me about that option, but I can't find it on my phone.
04:11 pm
user icon
I can’t seem to find that square option you mentioned so I have to edit the pictures I take and just hope it is square enough and the bottom part is as plain and vacant as posible
10:38 pm
user icon
Good morning! I don't really enjoy fruity flavors, but I've never had a blackberry tea before. Definitely worth a taste at least once!

Goood morning, all! Happy Friday Eve Day! Unfortunately, I got busy with work and oversteeped my tea. It's not too bad, but not as smooth as I would have liked. Oh well.. will be following this up with some of my CherryChip blend and then a French Silk Oolong.
07:55 am

Good morning Jeff 👋🏼 I’m headed to turn on my kettle and give this tea a sip. Your morning tea line up sounds like a good one, I hope they brew up better for you.

Hello! Today is Spider-Man day and be Bald and Be free day! Why does baldness get a bad rap? Why do we judge ourselves so harshly? Take time to be gentle and praise something about yourself that you criticize today :).

user icon
Good morning Michelle. You are right, sometimes we are our worst enemy. Thanks for the reminder. We are blessed to be free everyday in this country, especially us women. I'll turn on the Spidey sense for some more insights.
08:35 am
user icon
Spidey senses are the best! Now, we need to work to work on making sure that women are supporting each other, and ditching those judgements we were raised with. It is amazing how much criticism women can face on a daily basis (i.e., make up/no make up, combed hair/messy hair, wear this here/but not there!) oh my! I find as I get older (always young at heart though), it is so freeing to drop the critic! Or maybe knock the critic out? hmmmm
09:48 am
user icon
Michelle: age has a lot of negative aspects, but I agree completely that the change of perspective that comes with age is a priceless positive. It's so freeing and helps me be a better person in general.

Ah hair. I’ve always had thin hair, runs in the family, and lately because of my thyroid problems I’ve been losing more of it. It’s been frustrating, but you’re completely right Michelle. We can be so critical and mean to ourselves, and would think things we’d never think about friends or strangers! So even though I don’t have much of it, I’m happy my hair grows quickly and is healthy. I can count how many split ends I’ve seen in my life on my hands. So thank goodness for that! And thank goodness for you and your daily positivity reminders! 😘

It was so great! It was my 9th time seeing them, this is their (finally for real) farewell tour. I was supposed to see them 6 weeks ago but 2 hours before the show, Paul Stanley tested positive for Covid and we all had to go home as it was obviously canceled and postponed. Worth the wait!!!

Does anyone know where (or if) I can find a list explaining Adagio badges?
08:44 am
user icon
Hi Julia - There is no formal list. They talked about this a month ago in the Tea Talk on Friday. Most of the ones I have are from joining a fandom, which you can do by going to the Fandom Blends page, scrolling through the fandoms, and clicking on the "Join Fandom" button that appears on the title page. You will usually have to answer questions and pass the test to join. Other ones are based on finding hidden things here on the site and can be gotten anytime you find them. Still other ones are time-bound and based on certain events that occurred at certain times. If you miss that time event, then you can't earn them.
10:13 am
user icon
I had know idea there are hidden things on the site! Another fun activity feeding my obsession with visiting Adagio 24-7! Thanks for sharing your badge knowledge !
10:30 am
user icon
@Julia, head over to English Breakfast. There may be a very English badge hiding there down in the ingredients and lore. Clicking is your friend.
11:14 am
user icon
Wait what? Blenders can make their own fandom groups?!?! I want to know how to do that!
12:37 pm
user icon
Emily you have more than one dessert tea so you can group them together as a fandom. I think there are instructions under Help > Custom Blends. No I still haven’t tried to make a blend yet but I’m reading everything about it. 😝
12:39 pm
user icon
Erin, I figured it out! At the top of your fandom group it says "create community". If you click on that, it takes you to the page where you can create questions for people to answer. I never knew what "create community" meant so I just ignored it before, but after reading this discussion I was like, "Wait a minute..." so I went and checked it out. Sure enough! I can make my own badge for my ESO collection! Whut whut!

Today's tea is a little more bitter than the usual "black tea + fruit" ones for me. Not intolerably so, but it is noticed. Does anyone agree?
09:25 am
user icon
Yes! I noticed the same thing. The black tea was more bitter than usual, but the blackberry flavoring was spot on so I ended up drinking it.
09:35 am
ND
I also noticed the bitterness! My usual method of steeping around 190 instead of boiling typically reduces the bitterness but it was still quite pronounced with this one.
09:51 am
user icon
I typically do 200 and did that today, currently heating up a second steep at 190 to try and reduce this. Will probably throw a rock sugar or two as well
09:58 am
user icon
Yes, totally agree. This one was too bitter for me to really enjoy.
09:56 am
user icon
Chris, I steeped for 3 mins @ 180° and it was good.
10:03 am
user icon
I am pretty sure it is the raspberry leaves. I have noticed when steeping the Ceylon base with raspberry leaves in a fruity mix, it tends to get a bit more bitter or astringent if not steeped with care at a lower temp.
10:11 am
user icon
Completely agree and I haven’t really figured out how to prevent it except to cold brew or to brew then chill. The bitterness improves when cold.
10:21 am
user icon
Interesting, I even had this discussion with myself yesterday because I didn't notice any bitterness from the raspberry leaves in that blend, and so figured maybe it wasn't the culprit. Perhaps there's just more today, I didn't look too closely at the leaves before steeping.
10:24 am
user icon
I suspect it's not the black tea, but the raspberry leaves. They can be bitter.
10:34 am
user icon
Yes, I agree!
11:07 am
user icon
This tea has rasberry leaves in it which seems to add some bitterness. Edit: should have read the comments first as I see others pointed out the rasberry leaves too!

Tea pets anyone? What is the best choice and how do you use yours? I always a thought that you place them in your cup and pour tea over them, then remove them to drink the tea. I have seen the purple clay pets on Amazon and almost purchased one, but I am not sure that is the best. Any pointers or information would be awesome! Is this just a ceromonial addition to tea time or does it change the flavor to the tea as well?
09:42 am
user icon
Your message made so much more sense after I reread and saw teapets instead of teapots... 🤦‍♂
10:00 am
user icon
Hi ChasiTea - I have several, including one purple clay (Yixing) one that I enjoy. Typically, they don't go in your tea cup, but instead on your tea tray. You will often pour your first infusion (rinse) of tea over them before you steep your the one to drink. In a traditional ceremony, hot water is used to awaken everything, (teapot/gaiwan, cups, etc) and then poured out. Then the first steep is often 15-20 seconds to awaken or wash the tea and then poured out. That's typically when the tea pet has tea poured on it. That said.. that's just my limited understanding and how I do it. I'm sure there are many different opinions and ways to engage your tea pet. I have 3 turtles and am looking to expand my zoo. :)
10:09 am
user icon
Jeff, superb explanation! I also pour the last few drops from my sharing pot (Gong Dao Bei) over my pet. Usually the last remaining drops are darker and have tea leaf bits mixed in, which I do not always want to drink. Also, I have read that depending on what your pet is made of, the more often u share tea with ur pet, they can change colors from the tea infusion. Which is easier to accomplish when drinking Pu’Erh.
10:42 am
user icon
So that explains the tea sets that come with the tea tray's that capture the tea. I always wondered how anyone could spill that much tea. 😂
02:11 pm
SG
If you are in fun mood or looking to expand with something different get a peeing one. You soak it first and then pour your tea wash over it and it pees. I got mine at a Chinese tea shop in Washington.
10:26 am
user icon
I have one of the little pee boys too! Lol, took me along time to figure out how to make him “go”. I picked mine up at a tea house in Beijing, they had used him during the tea ceremony to demonstrate how hot the water was. He certainly is entertaining and a shock for new tea guests sitting around the table, lol

That shop also had the best whole roses I have ever had. You could resteep 5x and still taste the flavor. I think I am going to look them up and see if they finally started shipping tea. The lady asked questions about your skin and digestion and overall heath and created the most wonderful blends I have ever had.

I got my first tea pet for my birthday a month ago. I am a heathen and I lack all the fun tea ceremony items (secretly jealous and looking for my perfect set) so my pet sits on a fancy saucer. Earl Monty only likes earl grey tea so I pour a spoon or 2 over him from my cup and use a soft paintbrush to paint him in tea. Fun and very Zen feeling.
05:36 pm

I would like to buy a nice clay set, but I haven't been able to find one that has all the pieces I would like to have in it.

Right now I am drinking Raja Oolong chai but then I am going to have blackberry sage to drink in spirit with all of you. Any suggestions for a sore throat and laryngitis? I do not have the throat therapy.
11:20 am

Gargle salt water, it really helps!
11:23 am

Mint is a good salt water cleanser (i.e., gargle salt water and then drink mint to get rid of the taste and ease your throat more!)
11:24 am
user icon
Lots of lemon and honey always make mine feel better.
11:28 am

Red: Do you just swallow the lemon and honey straight of are you putting it in tea?
11:35 am

Hot water with lemon and honey is my usual go to as well.
12:15 pm
user icon
When I was a kid (don't judge I grew up in the 60's-70's, lol) if I had a bad sore throat my mom would make me a "hot toddy" which was Lipton tea with lemon, honey, and a shot of whiskey in it. :D Nowadays that would be a DYFUS call! but things were way different back then. Anyway, I think it worked pretty well...
03:20 pm

Oh... there's judging going on. Judgey, judgey, judgey. How dare you grow up in the olden days when things were different. 😜

That was my Grandmas goto recipe although she skipped the tea, lemon and honey and just used a shot of warm whiskey!

Christine slippery elm lozenges or tea. I think health food stores have them some are called opera singer's friend.Salt water gargle. Night time honey, lemon in a shot of brandy or whiskey.

This smells so sweet! Exactly like blackberry cider!
11:46 am
user icon
Oo. I did not find the balance here. Accidentally oversteeped, despite the warnings of bitterness on a regular steep. SUPER bitter. Added more sweetener and went overboard. Did not hit the goldilocks spot on this one.
11:51 am
user icon
My kettle was already boiling before I read Valerie's and Jim's reviews suggesting steeping this at a lower temperature. I also found it to be too bitter steeped at 205 degrees for 3 minutes. Adding some cream helped to calm the bitterness but also muted the blackberry flavor. This is a Meh for me. I like the suggestions of mixing this with Earl Grey.
11:54 am

Ahhhhhh. Kilns are infuriating. Not only are they expensive (like $1500-3000 for a good one), but you also have to build a building for one etc. I am trying to find a way to start making Tea Pets, I bought the clay and everything, but I am having a time finding a way to fire it.
12:55 pm
user icon
So... about 3 different emotions flowing through my head as I read this. I (again) mis-read the first line and thought it said "KIDS are infuriating. Not only are they expensive.....) I agreed... Then read $1500-$3000 for a good one... that made me confused... really confused... Then re-read the first sentence and the rest of the post and was both happy and sad. Happy that you are going to make Tea Pets... I know those will be awesome.... and Sad that it won't fire well. So... really not sure which "Like" emoji to use.
01:02 pm
user icon
As far as I know the clay fires fine, I just can't afford a kiln/space for one at the moment, so I am trying to find someone who has one already set up. Which is proving difficult

Ali. Have you looked into sawdust firing , pit firing or barrel firing? https://thepotterywheel.com/firing-clay/ You can do these a home and it is fairly inexpensive. You can add in oxides and other organic materials to get wild effects. It is not like what you have been doing, but it is always good to try something new. Most of these methods do not use the glazes you are used to and the end product is not water proof . You will have to burnish and wax the pieces but I think you might make some really wild looking dragons without the cost of an expensive kiln and the electric or gas expenses. If you rent kiln space you are going to have to charge a high price for your dragons and make less. Go for it try one of the inexpensive methods. If you are going to make tea pets these methods are perfect they are not water proof. Go for it I will be your first customer Ali.
06:30 pm
user icon
If you have any local craft shows/makers markets/artists spaces, I would reach out there! Some of them may know artists who would be happy to offset the costs of their own kilns by firing some of your pieces.
01:21 pm
user icon
Thanks for the tip! I miss being in college SO much. I had open access to all the studios, so I could fire things as I pleased. It's hard trying to start your own studio from scratch with limited funds.
01:36 pm
user icon
Go to your local community college and take an art class, here they give unlimited access to the kilns.

Anyone know why my image for a custom tea blend isn't changing when I replace it? Does it just take a while for the site to refresh it? Edit to add: I've checked that the file size is correct, and that its a .jpg image.

I find that it can take the site a while to update the image on all pages. I think someone has suggested clearing your cache (?) might help, but I haven't tried it myself.

Hey Melissa! To view an image that you had recently updated, we recommend forcing your browser to clear its cache (saved files) and replace them with fresh content pulled from our server.  To achieve this, please press these keys (depending on your system and browser combination): Windows and Linux browsers: CTRL + F5 / Apple Safari: SHIFT + Reload toolbar button / Chrome and Firefox for Mac: CMD + SHIFT + R
02:50 pm

Good afternoon, peeps! Gonna have a delicious cup of cocomint green (I'm assuming it's delish, cuz it smells great outta the bag) and catch up on posts! This is weird, but my accolades seem too have disappeared...has anyone else had this happen?
03:10 pm
user icon
I took them so that I can get more free stuff. 😜 Actually, if you cashed them in for your CommuniTEA mug, they disappear from your total, but, they still stay in the background with Adagio so you keep counting. I take my total accolades and then add the 1500 for the cup + the 100 for the sticker pack I got once. Therefore my totals are my current totals + 1600. So yeah... there is math involved.
03:36 pm
user icon
Hahaha Jeff, u r killing’ it today! 🤣😂 u got me rollin more than once already- 3 if I put it on my spreadsheet
03:56 pm

Hey Cindi! The accolades section will re-appear once you're closer to 100 accolades. I believe if you're under... was it 80pts, or was it perhaps the full 100, then that section automatically hides until you can redeem a prize again. Jeff is correct that we keep a background count of your total regardless if they're redeemed, so you can unlock tiers for emojis.
03:39 pm

Thanks Bridgette! I didn't know the whole section disappeared if you dropped that low. Good to know!

Yup! On fridays at noon we have a zoom call with Bridgette, the Adagio CS rep, and Ilya, the cofounder/tech wizard. We get to bother them about lots of stuff and just hang out and talk. If you have time you should join in! The link/info should show up tomorrow after the countdown clock finishes.

Safely arrived at our third and last leg of our vacation-Toledo! And there’s a huge antique mall right across the highway! Maybe one more teacup souvenir?

Does anyone else have an obsession on this website with adding stuff to your cart and just daily going over it and over it but can't commit to the purchase button LOL

I call it window shopping!

Keri I have the obsession of pushing the buy button lol.

Also does anyone know how many oz of tea comes in the customizable tea box that has the mug infuser and the tea?
04:10 pm
user icon
I think it depends on the tea you select! That tin size has about 4 oz when it comes with black tea, based on the ones I have. But the weight might be less for something like an oolong or white tea, that takes up more space with less weight.
04:19 pm
user icon
I usually like black fruity teas, we shall see if I feel similarly about this tea

Heather, Fox has quite a handsome profile.

Thanks Mary, I tend to think he's pretty handsome too! Even when he's beating up my couch cushions like he is currently.

Uh-oh. Little Fox may be in trouble.

Drinking my cold steeped tea and I've noted that the initial flavor is very... artificial. Almost syrup-y, though not in consistency. I've cold steeped teas far longer than this one and wasn't left with a syrupy flavor. The aftertaste mellows out a bit and is actually pleasant, but it's a shame since I don't drink tea for the after taste. Live and learn I guess! I enjoyed this one hot when I had it that way so that's how I'll have it next time.
04:23 pm
user icon
I also feel that "artificial" flavor.
04:30 pm
user icon
I'm not sure how I feel about this one. It feels a bit fake. I've sipped hot and warm.

I loved todays tea...recently I spun the wheel and got Wepwawet (blackberry, vanilla oolong and cinnamon spice) It's on it's way...can't wait to try it.

In the advance search area 🔍...type Wheel...several yellow colored wheels will pop up...select one and spin for a free sample. Another FUN thing Adagio does. You can do it once every 6 months😃

Hmm. Another flavored tea -- smells nice in the packet, but I expect the taste to be lighter than the smell.

I'm normally part of the evening crowd. I tend to post my photo somewhere around 6-7pm US Eastern, since that's when my wife and I are here together to share the tea. Most Sundays, I can post in the morning though, because we're both off then.

Not bad, but a bit light on flavor, like I expected.

Okay, I went ahead and got the november communitea box. I just love having something new to try every day! I was going to do the halloween sampler instead (and then vow to spend November drinking my stash) but... sounds silly but it's been helping with my weight loss journey too! Instead of mid day snacking I remember, wait I have a brand new tea to try!

I really enjoyed today’s tea. Definitely one that improved as it cooled.

Since I wasn't a fan of this tea the way I made it, I decided to get a pumpkin spice latte for work instead. I'm gonna be here til midnight tonight, I deserve it

Did anyone else think the tea smelled like bubble gum? Or at least that's what it reminded me of. I haven't actually smelled bubblegum in years.
09:25 pm

Yes! I thought the same!
10:06 pm

Well, the stupid fruit flies from the last =bunch of bananas I got give the smell a two wings up.

Careful not to oversteep, it gets very bitter

I’m so fond of Adagio’s blueberry tea that I don’t really want to switch.

I've been so busy lately that I've been having trouble keeping up. But I did love this tea. I think that in general I prefer simpler teas (tea + flavour, or unflavoured) rather than the complex blends... Though there are *definitely* exceptions!
10:01 pm

Agee completely. I enjoy comparing the different teas but I really prefer a good straight tea unadorned with sugar or cream

I think I over steeped, and probably at the wrong temp. Not my favorite so far, but didn't hate it.
