ginseng green

Based on 894 reviews
Fresh and crisp green tea from China with the energizing flavor of ginseng, accented with dried ginger. Sweet, earthy green aroma, notes of fresh hay and delicately spicy herbs. Pleasantly bittersweet without being medicinal. Soothing, soft finish. A very grounding cup of tea.
Moderate caffeine | Steep at 180° for 2-3 minutes

Hi Sue, keeping the music alive (and that song in my head for another night), lol 🎶🎵🎶

Michelle it has been stuck in my head for a day and a half now.

Good morning Nancy and Harley. I keep seeing those ladies swaying from one foot to another, with that harsh red lipstick, lol.

Sue, today’s art is perfect for our group. We now have a motto, lol 😘

Good morning Shelly. My name is Sue and I have a tea addiction problem. Welcome to tea hoarders anonymous, lol.
10:20 am
user icon
Haha , I feel like an addict, also. I try to keep my tea shelf attractive but it is becoming abit messy. Maybe we should have a day to display our tea collections. Prize for the largest?

Omg that drawing is the best!!!

Hi everyone! Picture is of a mystery vine.. I think a watermelon seed might have actually taken root?!

Jentina, I think you are right. We will see soon enough. As long as it doesn't start demanding, "Feed me Jentina." lol

Im not a fan of ginseng so I'm not super hopeful for today's tea

Not a green fan, not a ginseng fan. Uh oh, haha. 😅
12:02 am

Lol oh no!
12:04 am

I am fussy about my green tea... avoid the Japanese ones. 🤢 This is nice though, not overpowering.☺️
12:20 am
user icon
Erin, I did find a great electric tea pot. At Costco yesterday for only $29 . It has preset temps and keep warm and other nice features also
11:36 am
user icon
Same here! I'm quite nervous to try this, but I'm going to wait until the morning for it.
01:38 am
user icon
Michelle that’s true, I have a much harder time with savory Japanese greens as well. Some Chinese green teas are more enjoyable for me. I tell myself that even if that day is a no thanks, CommuniTEA is still a big help in trying new things and finding surprises.
01:51 am
user icon
Hi Erin, I agree and it is an adventure sometimes! Lol
10:07 am
user icon
Me either. My body reacts poorly to ginseng...this just says "ginseng flavor'' but I'm not taking a chance. Last time I didn't even try it....this time I brewed it in a cup I don't use often and tasted it so I could update my review. Not one I can drink.
02:05 am
user icon
I know what it's like to have a body that is selective about a lot of different things that end up in tea! Today's tea is the first I'm able to drink in a week, so I feel your pain! But it's still worth it to me because this group is so much more than just the teas themselves. :)

I threw some seeds in a pot of dirt before I went on my two week trip and when I came back had forgotten all about it and had sprouts on my return. Took me a hot second to remember they were seeds from that spaghetti squash I had been given. They've been loving the 12 hour timed grow lights that are on every night for my succulents hoard.
12:18 am
user icon
Volunteer plants are always fun. We actually have volunteer trees; no idea what they are...?
12:23 am
user icon
Any volunteer trees in my yard are maple. They are pervasive and everywhere. An they take root FAST. Those blasted helicopter seeds are super efficient
07:35 am
user icon
We have a few invasive plants in our landscaping, even though we were assured they weren't. Lol! Cat mint, balloon flowers...
08:07 am
user icon
I had 12-15 "volunteer" oak trees one spring... courtesy of the blue jays. Since the squirrels have now decided to eat the acorns, no more volunteers.
09:25 am
user icon
We have lots of volunteers and invasive plants that grow rapidly in this tropical climate. The cool thing is many of them are either edible or great plant medicine. You should see some of the salads we make.
10:26 am
user icon
We got volunteer sunflowers in our front yard this summer from birdseed that was supposedly inert!

I really enjoyed today's tea after adding Truvia sweetener.

Age's Spooky Countdown, 23 days till Halloween: a cat I painted and midnight banana bread! Didn’t get my photo in at (9PST) as I was in Downtown Disney doing a Pumpkin hunt. It is so much fun you get a card with stickers and then you have to find the pumpkins decorated like the stickers and you place the sticker on the right spot. Then you show your card they stamp it and you get a prize! The prize was a mug!!! :) my daughter and I both did it. So we each got a different mug. There were four to choose from. My picture is the one I got. Plus a cherry vanilla scone that I got to enjoy with my tea today. :)

It's a cowl pattern called Yarnopoly put together by a couple of my local yarn stores. Each store sold one of the colors of yarn (black/purple and orange). The pattern is a straightforward striped cowl, but the twist is that for each stripe, you roll a die to determine which stitch pattern to use. So each one will end up completely different!

Sipping on Pu'erh Dante since I couldn't drink today's tea. So good! After trying it for a couple weeks, I have to say that I am liking the pure stevia powder I bought to replace the cheaper sweetener I had been using. Trying to stop using sweetners that have maltodextrin added. I'm picky about what I put in my tea so tried one thing at a time to find what worked for me. Can't have agave. Monk Fruit didn't sit well with my body. Erythritol tasted funny to me.....only works for me in baked items apparently. Pure stevia is the only one I've liked...takes such a small amount too. The bag I bought will last a longgg time.
02:22 am
user icon
I finally figured out that nasty maltodextrin taste, too. Pure Stevia is the way to go!
10:14 am
user icon
I'm using a monkfruit/erythritol blend but I think I'll take your advice and go pure Stevia next time!
10:22 am
user icon
All this is great information thank you for sharing your search results! unfortunately (for me) when I drink blended flavored teas I tend to prefer them sweet too. I started limiting myself to no more than 4 packets a day, allowing every other beverage adding honey or brown sugar…but with 7-10 hot cups a day that is a lot of sugar! I’ve debated cutting back in all the blended flavors and drink more of my whole leaf non altered master teas but mentally it’s hard to do when there are so many yummy seasonal and fandom blends, lol. Ugh, yesterday I started only allowing 1/2 the sugar/Splenda that I would normally want- in an attempt to change my sensitivities to sweet flavors. It’s going to be a challenge but I will now try some other alternative sweeteners. Thank u for ur inspiration! Oddly I noticed, to my palate, most blended teas cold brewed taste sweet with out added sugar so maybe that will be my solution. Sorry for the long text.
10:34 am
WD
It's funny how pernicious "sugar creep" can be as it takes effect. I used to drink my tea sweet, until I realized that I was adding more and more sugar and honey to my tea each time. So, I just cold turkeyed the sugar/honey out of the tea and started afresh. It took a while, but I finally reset my palate and now can get by with minimal sugar when necessary. So, good luck, Julia, with changing your sensitivities - it's not fun, but it can be done!
12:51 pm
user icon
Good for you Julie, it is healthy choice too.
10:37 am

Pu-erh Dante is my all time favorite plain black tea.
11:55 am
user icon
I think I just fell in love with pu-erh chorange!!🍊🍫🍊
07:40 pm
user icon
My favorite is Truvia. I also have some stevia drops that we used in a lot of things. Erythritol has a coldness that I don't like.
04:39 pm
user icon
The substitute sweeteners I have tried (Splenda, Truvia stevia from the store) leave a very unpleasant aftertaste to me. Is that the maltodextrin? I know it’s in a ton of things and causes sugar response spikes but not otherwise familiar with what it does.
05:53 pm
user icon
Truvia does not have maltodextrin but a lot of stevia sweeteners do. A really good one is Sweet Leaf brand, but I had to order from Amazon because I could not find it locally.
07:43 pm
user icon
Helpful to know other people's preferences. Would like to try Sweet Leaf next. Have been using Trivia to cut back on honey and agave when I can.

I am just catching up on yesterday’s chat. It was a busy day…. Few things… yes waffle has for new onesies!💕 and I have been working a lot with him this week. Last weekend I was so worried about him. And this weekend he is doing so well. He seems way happier and is back to putting all the time. He is walking more (with help of course) but more on his own with me just making sure he does not fall to the side. If he falls he can not get back up but if he is up he can move!! 💕 as for how do I put up with his cuteness I seriously can’t stand it!! 😝💕
02:54 am
user icon
I used to have a dog that lost the ability to walk. Have you tried a chiropractor for Waffle? My dog went from unable to move anything from the neck down to walking alone, albeit wobbly. It took several visits, but there was progress after each adjustment. Just another idea to explore for your baby.

Tiffany , I am so happy to hear he is doing better this week. So much extra work for you, God bless you for dedicating so much of your time to him. He is truly blessed to have such a giving friend. He is the cutest little fella!

It's a full day of being a running spectator for me today! I'm volunteering as a course marshall at the Hartford Marathon this morning, then heading to my son's high school cross country race, while live-tracking one of my friends who is running the Tesla Hertz 100K (that's 62 miles-oh my!!) I'm excited for all of it, I have my cow bell ready to cheer them all on, and have my green ginseng ready to travel :)
06:43 am

Have fun today. Wish I was in Hartford. My sister is there.

Today is I Love Yarn day! Where are our crafters with yarn at! I want to buy big soft yarn and make one of those arm crochet shawls or blankets…..someday! How much yarn do you have? I have approximately 1/2 a hank of blue yarn and maybe a 1/4 hank of red…used for anything but actual crocheting!
06:58 am
user icon
Between my husband and I, we have a lot of yarn! Beautiful hand dyed yarn, dyed by dear friends we’ve met on our yarn adventures. Lots of bright colorful yarn stocked up for future projects! Yarns we’ve purchased on our travels, stopping at yarn stores to discover new favorites! It’s almost out of control!
07:54 am
user icon
Almost?
08:58 am
user icon
Don't tell my husband! According to him, I have too much yarn - which we all know is impossible!
08:02 am
Agreeed.
08:56 am
user icon
It would be terrible to run out! Especially if making a project, you will never find the exact same color again!
08:58 am
user icon
There is never too much yarn. I have a large bookshelf full (I look like a yarn store) and that only counts my stash! My Mom is a yarn dyer, so I always have yarn at hand in the color & weight I want.
09:17 am
user icon
Sort of like teas and teacups.
11:52 am
user icon
I have way more yarn than I have tea! LOL True. The yarn has its own room. OMG
08:20 am

Haha! Now you need a barn, just to call it the yarn barn!
08:59 am
user icon
I actually get product catalogs from the Yarn Barn. 😅 https://www.yarnbarn-ks.com

Crocheting over ten years and learning to knit. Currently making the blue moon rose flowers out of thread for my wedding in a few years. And started the westknits shawlography knit along. I have two shelves of a wardrobe full of yarn, one tote with an Afghan project started and one bin with another Afghan project in it.
08:54 am

They all sound so beautiful! Flowers out of thread!

I love to admire yarn at the store and occasionally purchase a skein. But I don't do any crafting with yarn, so I'm just purchasing pretty!
09:37 am
user icon
I get that! Especially the soft ones for maybe someday!
10:03 am
user icon
Michelle, I have some. I've been finishing an afghan. fingerless gloves and little booties for my feet. Yarn can draw you in like the tea.
10:50 am
user icon
I love those dragon fingerless gloves, have you seen them? https://www.allfreecrochet.com/Crochet-Accessories/Dragon-Scale-Fingerless-Gloves
11:00 am
user icon
I’ve made those gloves Michelle! They’re a lot of fun, I wish I could wear it more but I never have anything to match it lol
12:56 pm
user icon
Now you need a dragon scarf and hat to match.... or dragon attitude, as dragons do NOT need to match, they do what they want ;)
01:42 pm
user icon
I have a VERY large box and another smaller box full of yarn that I have yet to unpack. I have tried to learn to knit and crochet. I mostly make fingerless arm warmers!
11:39 am
user icon
They are needed ;)
12:03 pm
user icon
I keep my yarn in plastic bins organized by yarn weight (i.e., fingering, DK, worsted, etc.). While my stash is currently not as large as it has been in the past, I still have plenty of yarn. I’m a knitter who occasionally dabbles in crochet. 😊 My photo is some of my sock yarn - I’m a sucker for colorful sock yarns, especially if they have Wyoming/western themes or are locally dyed. I enjoy smaller, quick knitting projects. 🧶
12:39 pm
user icon
Socks! A useful and fun project!
01:39 pm

I love small projects too, especially things that don't have to fit perfectly! Socks are a favorite.

I spy some of my favorite dyers in your photo, like Spincycle Yarns and Knitted Wit! They're all so lovely!
10:46 pm
user icon
After tea, yarn is probably my next biggest obsession. I haven’t had time to make much lately, but I keep buying yarn thinking “oh this will be good for this project” and having it just in case it’s not there when I get the time lol. I have a wall of yarn but I need a bigger one!
01:04 pm
user icon
I am visualizing a wall of yarn being stared at by a wide eye kitten.... it's going down!
01:41 pm
user icon
I was a manic knitter for most of my life, not so much recently. (Sometimes life gets in the way...) Anyway, I just took a photo of some things here to share tomorrow. I really need to start whittling down that stash!
02:12 pm
user icon
I will be looking for your photo tomorrow, Jo :) and it iS rare not to overcollect it seems, limiting yourself to a ceder chest seems to work! Setting myself a set space has not worked for me for tea though!
03:28 pm
user icon
Looks fantastic! That’s one of the things I considered doing with my yarn but knowing me it’d just get dusty. 😝
06:24 pm
user icon
World's slowest knitter here! I have a cedar chest half filled with yarn and I don't really buy more because I never know what to do with it later so I prefer to purchase for a specific project. Which is apparently a rare approach among knitters!
02:31 pm
user icon
I found that if you take an empty winebox and put it on its side , it makes for nice yarn storage as it is easy to grab a skein without tumbling the rest. I have around 4 boxes but now try to only buy yarn for specific projects. @ Michelle L, I would suggest trying to armknit scarves. Easy way to learn the process and you end up with some warm, funky scarves for winter.
04:43 pm
user icon
I have a large yarn stash, but keep it in big plastic containers to keep pets away and so hubby doesn't realize how much I have ha ha. Stashed in my closet and under-bed and two containers on top my bookshelves in my bedroom :) And I have two rollaway cabinets that hold my knitting needles/supplies and my crochet hooks/supplies. :) Can never have too much yarn stash!
05:06 pm
user icon
Sounds like me!
07:00 pm
user icon
Oh wow I didn’t know about this before! Upstairs I have a craft room far from functional so it’s still a catch-all room for the foreseeable future. A few large sterilite multi-drawer towers are crammed full of yarn until there’s a permanent storage solution. 😬
06:15 pm
user icon
I didn't even know this when I posted my picture! I have WAY too much yarn, and yet I can't stop buying more... just like with tea! I've been trying to organize all my yarn lately, and I'm up to five big under-bed plastic totes, with more still to pack up. I'll be working my way through all of it for years!

@Michelle L. - Mice. Elephants dress up as mice for Halloween.
07:46 am
user icon
I should have known! Ah well…back to the sketching board. I sketched a kids book once with alternating perspectives between and monster and a boy dressing up for Halloween. The boy as a monster and the monster as a boy, until they meet on a road, trick or treat together (each thinking the other one forgot a costume), then remove masks to share candy, scare each other, then realize they had fun together and become friends! As you are supposed to think of what is the scariest thing you can think of for Halloween, right!

Hi Melissa, you too!
09:36 am
user icon
You too Melissa.
10:55 am
user icon
Good morning ! Although today's tea sounds wonderful, I couldn't resist trying out my wicked teas first. I am enjoying Cat Scratch. Yummy !
08:17 am
user icon
The wicked teas a delicious! It is amazing to me how different they all are yet they fit perfectly into the wicked theme, ENJOY!
10:15 am
user icon
Mine are supposed to arrive today. I'm stoked!
10:29 am
user icon
If your teas arrive late tonight, there are 2 decaf ones ! Mine delivery came at 8 pm, so I had Ghoul Gulp as a nightcap.
04:04 pm
user icon
I'm so sorry that I didn't pack Cat Scratch. Finished my sample tin of Ghoul Gulp, though.
11:38 pm

☀️ Happy Saturday Tea Peeps ☀️ 😊
08:40 am
user icon
You too Julie.
10:55 am
user icon
Great green tea, with a little kick. Subtle, but very nice hot and equally nice iced. One of my favorite greens so far.
08:41 am
user icon
Enjoying today’s tea. Rainy, mild weather here - odd temps for October - however, one more hibiscus bloom to enjoy ☺️
08:42 am
user icon
Sherlock, I love that Mario has a middle name 😂
08:45 am
user icon
Hehehe, most of my cats end up with a full name. Cubbie is Cubbie Buchanan "Bucky" Ward, but they both have more nicknames than I can track.
08:12 pm
user icon
We do that too. Boo's full name is Bubba O'Boo MacMurphy. He is a rather large orange Main Coon with attitude!
10:36 pm
user icon
I just discovered I have the wink teamoji! Look out...I'll be winking at you.
08:49 am
user icon
I lost my streak....so smiled back instead :)
08:53 am
user icon
Yeah that’s my favorite but it’s too hard to keep. There should be a grace period
11:23 am
user icon
The winky tea mojo is adorable!!
10:13 am
user icon
I don’t understand how the emoji works
11:58 am
user icon
You get a new teamoji for every 1,000 accolades you earn. They are cumulative, so if you spend your accolades you don't lose your teamojis. The laughing-crying one and the wink are dependent on your chat streak. If you break your streak, you lose them but you can earn them again.
04:44 pm
user icon
Julie W., I am going to try Molly’s technique with my husband when I want him to do something 😂
08:49 am
user icon
It always works...I went and opened a can of their stinky salmon for them. I think they have me trained. and they are so spoiled now that they come running when someone says "can'' I am a servant to felines. :)
08:52 am
user icon
Julie M., we are now looking at shark costumes for the cats. Trouble is that typically they just fall down and lay there when dressed up. Sort of like a cats version of a temper tantrum 😂
08:53 am
user icon
Our dogs have unicorn costumes! Getting them to pose for photos though…. Very hard
08:57 am
user icon
I think my cat would fight the costume to get it off! I may need to try that ...🤔 editing to add if you get a costume on your cat please post it here for us to see! If I get mine one I will put it on here, if she sit still long enough!
06:32 pm
user icon
I like this more than I did last time. Got more ginger I think this time around
08:56 am
user icon
Mother!!!!! Poor Gigi 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
09:04 am
user icon
Ha ha! Ha ha ha! Love it! Gigi’s expression is priceless!
09:34 am
user icon
Yes! That's why I had to take a photo LOL!!! I can look at that priceless expression as often as I want to!😀
06:28 pm
user icon
😬😀😄😂
06:28 pm
user icon
Bahahaha! The look on Gigi's face! Wish she could talk, I would love to hear what she has to say .
10:59 am
user icon
At that moment of the photo she was saying "how dare you! take this unicorn costume off of me now!! " LOL LOL 😂
06:27 pm
user icon
Gigi is going to tell her sister (me) all about it tomorrow!!
08:09 pm
user icon
You know I had to, LOL LOL!!! 🎃🕸️🧡🦇👻
06:29 pm
user icon
Good morning, all! I’m drinking Earl Grey since I couldn’t get into this month’s box. I’m not huge into a strong ginger in my tea, though, so maybe today’s flavor wouldn’t have been for me anyway.
09:21 am
user icon
Good morning Tahlia ☀️
09:40 am
user icon
Usually when I see ginger as an ingredient I will root through and remove some. Adagio tends to use a heavy hand with ginger (to my sensibilities).
06:42 pm
user icon
Great tea haul, Ruth!
09:22 am
user icon
Thank you! I love the glass mug they sent!
09:56 am
VV
I'm a huge ginger fan so I really like today's tea 😂
09:30 am
user icon
Good morning all! Today's dragon is actually based on matcha, but I thought she was fitting for today's tea too. Her name is Camilla
09:32 am
user icon
Good morning Ali ☀️ Love your dragons ❤️
09:41 am
user icon
Camilla the dragon is fierce cutie!
10:11 am
user icon
Camilla is cute. Love all of your dragons.
11:01 am
user icon
I might buy another dragon from you soon. I have to buy a second tea shelf for my tea station in the new house, and it would just look weird for the tea shelf on the left to have dragons but for the tea shelf on the right to not have dragons. Right?
12:27 pm
user icon
Today's tea was a pleasant surprise for me. I was afraid it would be extra grassy or too aggressively ginseng. But the flavors balanced nicely and made a pleasant cup.
09:41 am
user icon
Today's tea is not meh, but I don't love it. Somewhere in between. I like it more than meh, so I chose "I loved it!', because, well, tea. It has the lightest aroma and sipping it without any additions is quite nice. Oh, my. I take it back. This tea ended on a very bitter note. Meh.
09:46 am
user icon
Agreed. It's good, but not LOVE IT good.
10:30 am
user icon
Victoria, since we're talking about yarn today, tell us what you have on your needles. It looks interesting, and the stitch markers are cool!
09:50 am
user icon
It's a striped cowl called Yarnopoly, where you roll a die for each stripe to determine what stitch pattern to use! I haven't gotten very far yet, but it's a lot of fun!
10:51 pm
user icon
That sounds like so much fun!
10:57 pm
user icon
Good Morning my tea friends have a Great Day and Enjoy!🫖☕️❤️
09:50 am
user icon
Good morning Linda! Wishing you a day full of sunshine ☀️ 😊

Hi Linda.

Good morning Julia! A Happy Saturday to you 😊

Hi Julia.
11:02 am

Good morning, hope everyone enjoys the weekend!
10:02 am

You too Sara.

BS
Tea is too bitter for me for today, even with honey and sugar
10:08 am
user icon
Good morning beautiful tea peeps! I have a question for those of you who have sampled the Masters teas. How many servings is a sample? Or is it just one serving? Just curious. Thanks and have a great day. :)
10:21 am
user icon
When I ordered, the samples came in similar bags/pouches as the adagio samples so it depended on the tea. Usually about 5 I’d say.
10:25 am
user icon
Yep, just like Melanie said - it's the same size samples are adagio. I usually get 4 per sample. And Masters... that's a deep, deep, dark hole. Once you start down that path, there is no going back. Have fun!!
10:34 am
user icon
Oh goodie. Thanks Jeff and Melanie. I was afraid it was going to be only one little serving. I am so excited to get them! One thing I have learned since I started this tea journey is that I love, love, love Japanese greens the best. :) So it is my little present to myself to try the really good ones, and I can't wait to taste them! :D
10:39 am
user icon
Somehow after buying 10-12 things I seem to have climbed out of that hole 🤣 I bought bigger bags of my 3 favorites. But I’ll probably visit again. I like how they had fresh harvests in the spring.
11:26 am
user icon
Damn. Now, I'm going to have to check it out..
02:04 pm
user icon
Still resisting the temptation myself, but once CommuniTEA starts to repeat for me is when I’ll probably go ahead. Here’s hoping I figure my storage out before then.😅
06:46 pm
user icon
Goood Morning, all! A busy morning as I try to get some work stuff one. I need to put together some reporting and then do my self-assessment for work for everything I did for the last year. That will probably take a few hours. But, after that, I will be able to catch-up on yesterday afternoon's chat here as well as today. Have an awesome day and I'll pop back in here in a few hours.
10:31 am
user icon
See you then ☀️
11:03 am
user icon
Good Morning, Julie!
12:49 pm
user icon
Good morning Jeff.
11:04 am

Good Morning, Sue! At least it is still morning for another 11 minutes here.
12:49 pm

Perfect morning tea today! 😍
10:41 am

Hi I love saturdays!!!
11:03 am

Good morning pictures all so nice
11:21 am

Morning Colleen! How's you and your sweet puppy doing today?
11:34 am
user icon
Tiffany N, what a beautiful photo. Makes you want to move there!
11:24 am
user icon
Phoenix is beautiful this time of year. We finally got down into the double digit temps a few weeks ago.
09:05 pm
user icon
This tea is good hot or cold.
11:42 am
user icon
Oh no I just placed another Masters order. Somebody stop me... (self ban! self ban!)
11:47 am
user icon
Cindi, down the rabbit hole you go!
11:57 am
user icon
It is 100% a problem that I don't want to solve. I can't stop giving Adagio my money, nor do I want to.
12:24 pm
user icon
Nancy, Harley is so cute. Love how he covers himself up.
12:07 pm
user icon
My Christmas tea cups arrived today!
12:19 pm
user icon
I have waited for a long time for the Titanic cup and saucer to be back in stock. It is beautiful and comes with a china spoon! I ordered one set for myself and one for my daughter. I will post a photo when it arrives, but if you're interested, you can find it here along with other memorabilia: https://shop.titanicattraction.com/products/vip-cup-saucer
12:24 pm
user icon
That is super cool, Rachel!
12:31 pm
user icon
Thank you for posting the link 😊
03:57 pm
user icon
Rachel, that cup is beautiful, such a rich color. Also loved the card you posted today in your pic.
04:51 pm
user icon
This rabbit's already in the hole, methinks.... :o
12:30 pm
user icon
Can we get the definition of the word addicted posted at the top of the page?
03:58 pm
user icon
The googly eyes in the Monster Mash was part of what made me want the wicked teas. Glad it also tastes good 😁
12:49 pm
user icon
What the... ADAGIO.... STOP IT!!!! 🤣😂🤣 Have y'all looked at the rewards page yet? Seriously? Now I have even more things I have to sample. And I still don't have enough rewards to get the Advent Calendar. I'm afraid that I'm going to get myself in even more hot water with my wife.... 🤣🤣🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️
12:52 pm
user icon
I already grabbed one for my coffee loving boyfriend. Your wife can’t get mad if it’s a rewards sample because TECHNICALLY you didn’t pay money for it! Does your wife have things she likes? If you make her part of it she can’t be mad. When I was a teenager if I’d go out I used to bring my mom baked goods so she wouldn’t be mad that I was out late because there was something in it for her lmao
02:01 pm
user icon
Unfortunately, my wife doesn't like tea, coffee, or spices. LOL So... not much at Adagio for her.
03:19 pm
user icon
Jeff, you know we are enablers....
02:03 pm
user icon
Oh... I know that all too well, Ruth! 🤣
03:19 pm
user icon
OMG!! Honey process coffee!? That was our favorite thing when my wife and I went to Costa Rica on honeymoon. We sipped coffee on the balcony of the hotel and watched a sloth moving around in the trees.
03:07 pm
user icon
I've never had it. And now you make it sound good so I want it even more! LOL
03:19 pm
user icon
So it wasn't a Slumbering Sloth then...! ;)
04:41 pm
user icon
I want to try this coffee 😍
06:21 pm
user icon
What about candles or cookies or honey?
03:38 pm
user icon
I may have to think outside the box. Cookies might work.
04:10 pm
user icon
Looks like it’s time to buy your wife some flowers 😂
04:01 pm
user icon
Do you think they will also sell the advent calendar or we will have to have rewards to get it? 🎄❤️☕
04:14 pm
user icon
Yesterday in the Tea Talk that was mentioned with Ilya, and he said that it will be listed as a normal product in a week or so. When it is listed on the site, it will be removed from the Rewards page. So, we can wait a few weeks, or for those of us that are impatient, we can use rewards and get it early.
04:28 pm
user icon
Hot water is where the tea goes! You’ll have plenty of company. 😉
06:49 pm
user icon
LOL... Thanks Erin.
10:01 pm
user icon
It’s a good thing I hate coffee, I’d have to buy more furniture just to store that collection 🤣
07:28 pm
user icon
I have one bin with coffee in it, and it has plenty of room left, so I'm good for a bit yet. LOL
10:02 pm
user icon
Yes, they mentioned yesterday that the rewards page had a big hint about what their new machine is for. If they do have future plans to get into coffee in some way, then I hope they keep that completely separate from the tea stuff. Not all of us want or even like coffee; I'm here for the tea, and I hope tea remains the number one focus of the company, even if they do expand somewhat beyond that.
07:28 pm
user icon
Agreed! I think the demise of Teavana was being bought by Starbucks. There are enough coffee companies in the world… keep the awesome teas coming.
07:51 pm
user icon
I think they will keep the focus on tea. But I do agree with you. Sometimes companies get too diluted and no longer do well what they used to do.
10:03 pm
user icon
Just saw the cutest thing while working at the kitchen sink. A dad walking to the mailbox holding his little son’s hand (looks about 4 yrs old). Dad pulls out the mail in a few rounds with his right hand and passes it to his left hand still holding the boy’s hand. One envelope falls to the ground between them. Little boy bends over, picks up a bunch of leaves, and sprinkles them all around him. 😄
12:53 pm
user icon
That's so sweet! That's the spirit of fall I'm looking for 😊
01:00 pm
user icon
Awe that is so cute! 🍁🍂

Anyone have a recipe for cook Sara’s ginger cakes noted i. The description of tomorrow’s nighteyes tea? I thought I’d make them if I could get the recipe.
01:12 pm
user icon
I don’t think there’s an official recipe. Tomorrow’s tea is from the Fitz and the Fool book trilogy. It’s probably something one of the characters enjoys eating. I tried looking to see if there are fan recipes, but no luck. You could probably make any ginger cake recipe and it would be delicious with the tea! It sounds like a great idea!
01:57 pm

I found a ginger cakes recipe that I wanted to make into Madeleines. Let’s see how much energy I have tonight😂

Julia you are a fantastic cook. Make anything you want. Just be sure to put a couple of what you make into the freezer. Lilly and I will be at your home in a couple of weeks. We will have them and tea together.

Ooo, I’ve never tried a ginseng tea before, I wonder what it’ll be like.
01:13 pm
user icon
Mallory, your cats are gorgeous.
01:35 pm
user icon
The ginseng was a refreshing change from a normal tea! Gingery but also not quite, a very unique flavor
01:47 pm
user icon
Just the lift I needed today, I was DD for my roommate and a bunch of her friends, and didn't get back till 5 am because they all wanted IHOP.
02:26 pm
user icon
Thank you from the rest of the world for being their DD!!
02:43 pm
user icon
You’re a great friend for being DD, and getting them ihop lol. I hope you had a good time too!
03:37 pm
user icon
Oooooh, I love this tea! Just the perfect amount of ginseng and ginger! Super smooth, zero astringency! Exactly my kind of green tea!
02:48 pm
user icon
oops, I had congee for breakfast and didn't look to see what the tea was today. That would have gone together quite nicely.
02:49 pm
AR
Today's tea was more flavorful than I had expected; nice.
03:11 pm
user icon
Christine A, that yarn wall is quite something! I'll bet if you stand back a bit, it looks like an impressionist painting...very artsy!
03:22 pm
user icon
Thank you Jo! It would be if it weren’t surrounded by all my mess haha! But I had a lot of fun putting it together. It’s soothes me when I look at it.
03:36 pm
user icon
That is a solid WOW 🤩 Christine!
03:48 pm

It really looks like art! WOw!
04:13 pm

We are traveling today. It is 93 degrees here. Feels like summer! I brought one of my summer blends to drink on the way. Lol! Hope you all have a wonderful Saturday and find time to have a peaceful tea time!

SPOILER ALERT!! The November box content was mentioned a few days ago in chat and someone else asked about it yesterday. The contents are: 15 Black Teas, 6 Green Teas, 7 Rooibos/Honeybush Teas, 1 Herbal, 1 Mate, 0 Oolongs. For those of you that like back teas, it's going to be a good month!
03:28 pm
user icon
😋 thank you! I look forward to my Nov box to arrive!
03:33 pm

Thanks ! I still need to order mine!
03:47 pm

Wish there were an oolong or two in there!

I just got my Wicked tea order! Which sip would be best for crafting Halloween cards?
03:55 pm

Cat Scratch 😊
04:04 pm
user icon
Thank you, Julie! I will steep it now!
04:05 pm
user icon
I second that!
04:11 pm
user icon
It tastes very similar to my Adagio Scorpio tea, but not as strong. Deliciously perfect suggestion!!
04:15 pm
user icon
Hello fellow crafter!! Making cards is so much fun!! I hope to start my Christmas cards soon! I dont think you could go wrong with any of the Wicked teas to companion along side your cardmaking. Enjoy!
04:06 pm
user icon
You must post pictures of your Christmas cards, Julia!

Brewed this tea in my toasTEA at 7am this morning before I headed out for some weekend retail therapy. At 1pm it's still nice and hot! 😊
03:56 pm
user icon
Same here!! I brewed it in my ToasTea travel mug at 1pm EST and its just now cool enough to drink lol

Ugh double post
05:17 pm

Impressive!
05:52 pm

Yes!! To test the toasTea further I left half my tea and now its 7pm est and the tea is still hot! Not even warm but hot! Not burn your lips hot but hot still the same.

Hi everyone. The cellular reception isn’t strong enough to upload a photo. But here is a John Muir quote in the stone steps at Desota Falls, where we hiked and kayaked today: “Everybody needs beauty as well as bread. Places to play in and pray in where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul .”
04:09 pm
user icon
Thanks Lilly for such a wonderful thought for the day 😊
04:13 pm
user icon
We have arrived at the hotel! Plenty of room for my teapot, so I’m in great shape!
04:26 pm

It looks like you and I pack alike....pack all the yarn crafts first, then think about the wardrobe! LOL I hope you get to use some of that gorgeous yarn.....
04:52 pm

Have a great time, Tammy!

It is something - I love all the way you have it patterned. Edit: well that was odd - this should have been a reply about Christine’s yarn wall…

You know when you've spent too much time on Facebook when...you hover over the like button in the CommuniTEA and expect your selection of teamojies to appear, then after a few seconds you remember that you have to actually click like to see them :P

Oof. Traveling this weekend. Packed my tea. Packed my kettle. Packed my mug. FORGOT MY STRAINER!! So gotta find a way to remedy that right after I get released from the patient first where I’m getting some kind of insect bite checked out. This is already a crazy weekend! I did enjoy the tea this morning. Not at all a typical grassy green which I enjoyed. Was amused that it was a memory tea that I forgot cooling on the counter while I ran errands though…
05:46 pm
user icon
Once, when I was desperate, I took a hotel tea bag, undid the staple, dumped out the original tea, and used it for my own loose leaf. It wasn't perfect, but it worked in a pinch!
10:56 pm
user icon
This isn't bad, but I'm not a big fan of green tea. I'm not sure the ginseng flavor is really coming through either, but it's possible that a strongly-flavored dinner is kind of masking it.
07:09 pm
AS
I am hoping everyone is having a great weekend!
07:13 pm
user icon
Mmmm, this is good. But then, it’s a green tea, and I have yet to find a green tea I didn’t like… I love them all!
07:25 pm
user icon
Well. My sloth will be dusty tonight, but I managed to get my hands on a classic metal tea ball!
07:25 pm
user icon
Just made the second tea in my ComforTEAs Blend group - Russian Tea. That's what my granny called it anyway. Black tea, Orange, Lemon, cloves and cinnamon. Anytime I have a cold, this is still my go-to soothing cup of tea. She would brew it on her stove with the tea, cloves and cinnamon sticks in a muslin bag, and fresh cut orange and lemon floating on top. So good!
07:29 pm
user icon
I just got a notification about this, too. :D
07:32 pm
user icon
That sounds lovely
07:35 pm
user icon
Sounds delicious!
07:40 pm
user icon
Yes!! My grandmother would make this for me every time I went to her house. Will definitely order some of this, she called it Russian Tea also. She is the one that got me started on tea when I was a little girl. ❤️☕🌸
08:14 pm
user icon
If I was really really sick, she had a stronger remedy....lol Tea, lemon, honey and Old Crow. Zonk you right out -- next day you were all better. ha ha
08:39 pm
user icon
It's on my wishlist
09:30 pm
user icon
Given my dislike of green teas, I was leery of this one, but the ginger balanced out the grassy taste for an enjoyable cup.
07:33 pm
ET
looking forward to trying it later.
07:48 pm
user icon
Happy Saturday ya'all. I'm happy to be unwinding after a not-so-busy-yet-long-day at work today with this cup of tea!
07:48 pm
user icon
Trying my third wicked tea, ghoul gulp. So far so good. I like the ghost sprinkles. Wouldn’t mind more coconut flavor.
07:57 pm
user icon
I’m curious about the new moringa tea. Anyone tried it? My only experience with anything moringa is the scent from the body shop.
08:08 pm
user icon
I've had moringa from a different tea seller. It was a pleasant beverage, but I still prefer the true teas.
10:42 pm
user icon
Thanks! Did it taste kind of floral?
11:40 pm
user icon
Wasn't so keen on this flavor so went and tried my pumpkin potion, which I enjoyed far more. Sprrrrinkles!
08:13 pm
user icon
Late again, but another tea and book pairing! This book, along with the first in the series, The Tea Dragon Society, will likely feature as a default background when I don't know what else to do for my daily picture.
08:30 pm
user icon
Can’t go wrong with dragons 🐉
09:10 pm
user icon
Just steeped the tea, letting it cool a bit before tasting it. Don't have high hopes, though. I'm afraid I'm not big on ginger OR green tea.
08:31 pm
user icon
I'm changing computers this weekend. Always so much work.
09:04 pm
user icon
Good luck 🍀
09:11 pm

Sounds like an interesting blend. Does anyone know if it’s Panax or Siberian ginseng?
09:12 pm
user icon
Just ginseng flavoring.
11:44 pm
user icon
Wow, I can't believe how much flavor this has!
10:06 pm
user icon
After a pool run with my grand daughter, brewed today's tea. It was a pleasant flavored green with a mild ginseng/ginger taste. Added some honey and it was tasty. Glad I tried it. Hope everyone is having a good weekend!
10:48 pm

Im sad i was about to test out nighteye early but i spilt it accidently And it's my birthday tea so now i can't have it and again i'll miss a day's post.
10:50 pm

You can still post. Take a pic of your spilled tea. Don’t cry over spilt tea???? Tea happens.
11:01 pm

A very happy birthday to you, Letti!

We'll toast you tomorrow.

You can post a random picture. It doesn't have to be a picture of the tea or even a theme. Happy Birthday!! Have a wonderful birthday weekend. 🧋☺️

Letti, don’t feel bad. Lots of us have had bad days and often we just post a picture with NO tea. Or drink a different tea from what is selected. Participate as usual. Just no rating of tea and no review. We still wish you aVERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

I love this one! Not astringent at all, just a gentle green with a really nice warmth from the ginger!

Both today and yesterday’s tea I couldn’t seem to taste very well. Either I’m missing the fall spices, or I have a cold coming on. 🤧

This says it contains ginseng flavor and the package says 'ginseng flavor'. Does it actually contain ginseng or just the flavor?
