As far as Corpse Bride and Nightmare Before Christmas, I have to say Corpse did it for me, absolute pleasure to watch, plot, music, animation all spot on, I liked it so much I will probably add it to my annual Halloween time movie rotation. Nightmare was also amazing just liked Corpse way better.

Sipping some of Irishman's "Midnight Cherry Blood Brew" iced tonight. Spices apple is more prominent when cold, but still very flavorful. The cherry doesn't disappear, but it is more in the front while hot. Super good flavorful tea.https://www.adagio.com/238162

Happy beer and pizza day! I will take the pizza, make it gluten-free cheese, and maybe pineapple, yes, I like pineapple on my pizza, oh, and roasted garlic! Also, you can celebrate fire prevention day, curious events day, Leif Erickson day, depression screening day, moldy cheese day, polenta day, pro-life cupcake day, sneakers day, Nautilis night day, scrubs day, and ombuds day! I am going to wear my scrubs today, but I often do, so well, yay!

Leif Erickson day is cool. They did so much better with their relationship with the indigenous people and makes me wonder how different North America would be if they took hold. I think omsbudspeople have a very important role in meditation. I really like fire prevention day. As I have gotten older, I have realized how vital that elementary schools drill the stop, drop, and roll into kid’s heads as I see historical movies of people whose clothes caught fire and want to yell that at the screen. Also thankful we don’t have the giant bustles and petticoats that actually caught fire very easy and would have made it hard to actually do the drop and roll. And super thankful for fire alarms. I have this strong fear that one day my house will catch fire and I won’t be able to get my kitties out because they would hide, so I actually have beds with solid bases so they can’t hide under them.

the solid base idea is such a good idea! incidentally, "I'm on fire!!" is a very natural thing to say when someone has little experience/opportunity to be ablaze; thankfully, you can yell and stop, drop, and roll at the same time

I prefer a veggie pizza. We have one pizza place (that actually has a lot of beer on tap) that has a 3-mushroom pizza with portobellos that is absolutely amazing. Mushroom pizzas elsewhere don’t compare, so I do a mixed veggie when not ordering there. No beer for me though as not good for my migraines but a definite yes for iced tea. A flavored decaf black (I have a decaf blackberry sage from another company that I love) as the black is usually bolder than my rooibos teas and stands up against the strong pizza flavors better.

After work today, I need to clean and prepare my kitchen to start harvesting grapes from my yard for juicing. I'm excited to get it done before Halloween this year.

Fresh grape juice is the best. A local-ish (about 45 minutes away) used to sell bottles of grape juice and it was amazing. Sadly they now just use for wine.

I will try today’s tea a bit later as it’s lower caffeine, so I can have later in the day. Still getting over the virus but doing a lot better and finally have my taste buds mostly back, so time to start catching up on some of the teas that I missed. This morning I tried the pu-erh poe. It is pleasant, though I think I would like an additional flavor with it. I don’t usually have pu-erh tea and have seen past posts of how some people think it should be rinsed, so I decided to try that way first.

We had our first frost advisory overnight. Monday it was in the middle 80’s and midweek frost advisory. The meteorologists keep saying weather whiplash, definitely. My yoga teacher this morning said that fall is the toughest season for her due to the switch from warm to cold. I have to agree with that. I am not a fan of the shorter days and colder weather either.

Question for the group. I ordered some sample tins in my last order and find that when I open it, it tends to spill everywhere, so now know to open on a plate or something. It is nice it’s very full but hard to scoop one teaspoon without spilling more. Do you put it in another container? And what do you do with your tins when done with it?

When I open a tin, i dump it into a small bowl, scoop out the amount I need, then pour the rest back in the tin, I repeat this process each time I drink from any tin (even if it's almost empty). For the leftover tins, I hold all kinds of sewing and knitting notions, stamps, anything small that needs a home. The organizer rack on the Rewards Page holds the tins beautifully! (sample size pouches too). Other people have used the tins for watercolor paint palettes, and all kinds of creative uses.. or, glue a magnet inside and stick them on your fridge to hold notes for your kiddos (reward notes, reminders, anything they can grab out of the tin when they pour their milk into their cereal. lol. my imagination runs wild, pardon me...

I tilt the tin into an empty, drawstring teabag...and tap out the amount I want, slowly. Or I tilt the tin into a cup infuser and slowly push forward the tea into the infuser. As far as keepsakes...I put Magnets on the back of them and can use them as cute decor on the fridge. Also they can be used to put small objects in for crafting.

I weigh all my tea usage so I have a tray on the scale that catches the amount I want (which then goes into the strainer).

Hi Kat. I use an empty, clean honey jar (Bees, of course). I put the tin into the jar and carefully slide the cover open. Once I get all the tea out, I cover the jar, shake it well, and scoop my first 2 cups worth of tea out of the jar. Then I have no trouble fitting the remaining tea back into the tin. We bring old tins that I don’t reuse for my own blending purposes to the town’s metal recycling bin.

I slide the lid open a small amount and use the tines of a fork or a chopstick to coax out the amount of tea I want straight into my simpliciTEA teapot. I like reusing the tins to share tea samples with others.

It's the hops I tell ya! Beer from other countries -especially mexico- taste better. Most US beer uses a ton of hops. The hops we grow has even been bred to be stronger. Hops tastes like super bitter, badly scalded and over brewed green tea.

Hello everyone! I'm finally back from my trip to Asia. It was a fantastic trip but I'm so happy to be home sleeping in my own bed. I ate some delicious food, drank really good tea and brought home enough to last me at least a year. I wish I could tell you everything I did, visited and saw...everything was amazing. And I got invited to go back in a year! I tried to check in when I could but with the time difference, it was really hard. And now that I'm back, I'm so ready for the holidays and spend some time with my family, especially my grandkids. And lucky me, they have their Fall break this coming week, so I'll get to spend 10 days with them. Have a wonderful day!!

Good evening, all. I had a fun but busy day of hiking, lunch, ice cream, and a new, fun book club. I came away with a new library book I was allowed to borrow because I was attending for the first time. Leader of the group gives preference to newcomers.
