Green rooibos is harvested from the same South African plant as the traditional red rooibos but is processed differently. Whereas the red rooibos leaves are bruised and oxidized, the green rooibos leaves are specially treated to prevent oxidation, leaving them closer to their natural state. The resulting brew is lighter-bodied, less citric-piney than red rooibos and delivers a woody-grassy cup with natural sweetness and fruit notes. This natural sweetness and low tannin content ensure a smooth, never bitter brew that requires little if any, sweetener. Like red rooibos, it is also naturally caffeine-free and great plain or flavored, hot or iced for anytime enjoyment.
A lovely leafy green dragon for a leafy green tea! (is rooibos made of leaves?)
12:00 am
Pretty!
12:24 am
Yup, 😁. From the pictures I Googled it kind of reminds me of Scottish Broom. Or if it had purple blossoms, instead of yellow, a bit like Heather.
12:47 am
He is so cute!
12:51 am
Love your beautiful leaf dragon.
06:20 am
Happy Tuesday 😊 good night everyone!
12:01 am
Good night Sara. Those cookies look yummy!
12:52 am
RM
Drooling over those cookies!
05:42 am
Happy Tuesday. Fun tea today.
12:02 am
Twyla I love your photo!!!
12:02 am
Happy National Periodic Table of Elements Day! Chemistry was not my best subject, but it is good to know this table.
12:03 am
PM
Maybe this will make the Periodic Table more fun: Tom Lehrer’s “The Elements”— https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=AcS3NOQnsQM
12:09 am
Paula , Love his strong finish with Aristotle's version! LOL
06:24 am
This is fantastic, Paula. Thanks! I'm sending it to my sons, they will love it.
07:36 am
JS
Oh Paula, you beat me to it! I was just now awake enough to re-read Valerie’s note (at 4:00am, my brain wasn’t quite firing on all 4 cylinders!) and was going to take a look for this. I know it very well and it’s hilarious! My husband is a retired physical chemistry professor and he introduced me to it when we were dating a very very very long time ago. Thank you for posting the link. I never get tired of it and I never get over wondering how in the heck he ever did that. What an amazing brain!
11:29 am
Valerie, I never took chemistry in high school. California had some screwy curriculum ideas in the late 70s, but it does remind me of one of my favorite, silly movies. Evolution.👽👾👽
12:51 am
Honors Chemistry was my favorite science class my senior year :) our teacher made it fun and interesting.
09:04 am
Tyrell - you obviously are very bright. But a good teacher always makes a difference!
09:26 am
That's good. My Honors Chemistry teacher was also the staff sponsor for the yearbook....She was distracted. I remember she walked into class one day and asked if there was a lunch during that period. When we told her there was, she grabbed her camera and ran out of the room, leaving the entire class unattended with nothing to do for probably 20 minutes. That was one of several lessons I learned about what NOT to do as a teacher that year...
02:15 pm
Adored my Chem teacher as he was zany and fun. He would always ask what you do with a dead chemist? You barium!

The moon was so pretty—- but I think my sky was too bright to see the comet
12:04 am
No moon here - clouds and chilly wind. I’ll take it IF the clouds drop some rain!
12:25 am
Jezabel, Thistlehopper is so cute - and such a cute name!
12:06 am
Honestly, I think I've fallen in love with Thistlehopper! 🥰😻🥰
07:05 am
He's got the most soulful eyes of all the cats I live with, I think. And thanks - he originally was named Aragorn [his litter was found abandoned in a parked boat], but the second I saw him, he just felt like a Thistlehopper to me. and it's fun to say. 😁
03:15 pm
KM
I love a good rooibos blend. Especially before bedtime. Enjoy today’s cup!
12:10 am
Waiting to turn my new card. Then it will be off too bed.
12:26 am
Bambi, I hope it was one you wanted.
05:37 am
It was a new one I haven’t had before so that seems like a win.
09:46 am
JS
Yes, Bambi, hope it was a good one. What was it?
11:33 am
Mine is after midnight as well, Bambi, and I hate to reset it until the next morning, though I think I will be doing just that very soon.
07:26 am
I may be doing so as well. It wasn’t bad when I taught until 10:15 on Monday night but now that I don’t have a late class on Monday it is getting harder.
09:44 am
Have a good Tuesday, tea friends!
12:50 am
You too A😘
02:36 am
Stressful day, one car died (haven't used in 3 months and it is having a hard time in cold) and one car has service light on. Can't get service for a month. Dealership is that backed up. Normally wouldn't be a big deal but work wants to do a work party end of month 80 miles away and won't take no for an answer. I love that a party during work hours is more important then actual work.
01:42 am
Ahhh! Any chance you could see a mechanic not at the dealership? 😟
07:13 am
No it voids warranty
08:00 am
Steffi orry to hear abut the car problems. I would let work know about the car troubles and maybe someone can pick you up. Not a good time of year to get stranded.
09:36 am
JS
Or maybe they would like to pay for a reliable rental for you for that day, Steffi?
11:37 am
JS
Oh dear, that sucks. Can you get AAA out to jump start the dead one? At least there would be one.
11:35 am
PM
Tyrell, I’ve been enjoying your art that you’ve been posting.
02:04 am
I second this, I always have to zoom in because they are like photos!!! They are so detailed and beautiful 😍
02:35 am
JS
I agree, Age. There have been many times I have looked at a photo of your painting, Tyrell, and do a double take. I think to myself, “I thought he was posting a painting but maybe this time it’s a photo he shot.” Not so. Very impressive talent there.
11:41 am
Thank you for all the support Jan, you're a sweetheart! Thank you Bambi!
12:35 pm
Paula, I third this. His artwork is so realistic and beautiful. I want to step into it and enjoy the serenity it brings.
05:40 am
JS
Well said, Mary!
11:41 am
Paula, fourth! Tyrell, me too. The lighting on the water on yesterday's piece was especially perfect!
07:07 am
I agree Paula that Tyrell's artwork is wonderful!
07:28 am
Thank you Paula! 😊 It's about time I start creating more, haven't been motivated this last month!
08:58 am
I didn’t realise it wasn’t photos until I read here - small pics are sometimes hard to distinguish. Went and viewed larger - it is amazing. Wonderful skills. Thank you for sharing.
10:02 am
JS
I’m guessing that’s because of the current weather, Tyrell? Maybe you should paint a cozy little cabin in a snowy wood. I can’t paint or draw worth a darn, so I’ll just wait to see where your next inspiration leads you.
11:44 am
PM
Well, I’m enjoying it when you share.
02:33 pm
Thank you Age, Mary, Mechelle, and Janet, for your kind words! I'm glad you like them, that makes my day :)
09:01 am
Tyrell, it always feels good when others enjoy our artistic efforts! 😁This group is so supportive, and there are so many talented artists here. Artistic or not, we have so many fun, beautiful, and thoughtful photos in this group. And lots of lovely Fur babies!
08:13 pm
Oh my , until you mentioned artwork I thought Tyrell was taking photographs!!! I am impressed with your artistic abilities Tyrell. Gorgeous pieces of landscape art, you are a Master artist!
09:39 am
Thank you very much Sue :)
12:33 pm
JS
I definitely have been also, Paula. You have such talent, Tyrell.
11:38 am
Tyrell, I too get tricked into thinking your artwork is a photo until I zoom in to see it. Amazing!
12:41 pm
Lol thank you Christine!
02:24 pm
Hello tea fronds! 🫖🪴 I am reposting this earlier today to see if I can get help to solve a little problem I am having. I have been working on a new fandom and for some reason the banner won't show after it is uploaded. I don't remember having this problem before. I first uploaded it over the weekend and it wasn't working so I thought I needed to just wait for Monday. It is still showing "no band artwork". I have tried renaming the file, saving the file as jpeg & pdf, clearing the cache and re-uploading. Any ideas of why it is not showing up around the tea tin? Do you see an artwork band?https://www.adagio.com/signature_blend/blend.html?blend=207658
02:18 am
Chasi, I haven't done any of my own blending with Adagio so I'm not sure what band artwork is. However, there is artwork showing on the tins and bags...the same as in the link preview in your post.
05:43 am
Hi Chasi, on a mobile device the bands don't show, but I will check again when I go into my office later. The lid artwork is lovely! And, it sounds tasty!
07:19 am
JS
Michelle, I’m on my iPhone and I can see the band art on it at 8:45am, pacific time, so apparently it’s been corrected.
11:49 am
Chasi, I don't see any band artwork. I bet Elizabeth knows how to fix it.
09:42 am
I was actually going to recommend emailing info@adagio. I tried to switch out the band from ilyas birthday to Bridgette on the adagio appreciation fandom a while back before we had the DFTBA tea and I kept running into an error. Maybe something is happening on the back end? Others are reporting it fixed now so maybe not!!
02:55 pm
Yes! Please email us at info@adagio.com with the fandom information and the image. Will be glad to help!
04:17 pm
Late to the game but I see a lovely peach mint green band when I click the link.
09:48 am
JS
Well, ChasiTEA, I don’t think I’m correct on the lingo here. I thought that band art was the photo of what the top of the tin looked like! 😂. I don’t see a banner that says “Health Tea Recipes.” Sorry about that - my mistake.
05:40 pm
JS
I just looked (8:45am pacific time) ChasiTEA, and it shows now. I love the band art, and the blend sounds utterly delicious, especially for summertime. 😋
11:47 am
As of 2:35 I still do not see the band art work. I do see the tin artwork, but the health-tea recipes banner around the 5 oz tin is not showing up from my end. It is very strange! Jan, it looks like you can see the band art. Does it say "Health-Tea Recipes" and show bowls and flowers?
03:38 pm

I’ll bet you are right, Nancy, as long as there are treats involved!
11:51 am
Uh-oh. You must have gotten "the look."

Good morning
03:22 am
Good morning, Adagians. Happy Tuesday. I'm getting ready to do my workout and wanted to stop in before things get busy. I didn't realize there was a green rooibos tea. I'm sure I must have had it in the year plus that I've been here, probably in blends. I look forward to seeing what you all think of it, considering the rather definite opinions regarding rooibos in general. 😇🤣😇🫖😇 I wonder how many different kinds of rooibos there are...maybe there's a white rooibos? Hmmmm....something to look into. God bless and have a super day.
04:23 am
Good morning Marlicia.
06:26 am
Good morning, Sue. I hope you have a wonderful day! God bless...😇🫖😇
07:05 am
I'm looking forward to trying today's tea later on. I need my caffeine, so I'm starting my day with Ooooh Darjeeling. It is definitely a hearty Darjeeling!
04:49 am
Ruth, I'll have to give Ooooh Darjeeling a try as I don't think I've ever had it. I'm not a big Darjeeling fan but from your comment it sounds like I would like it.
05:47 am
You will be oooohing and ahhhing Mary.
09:43 am
It's not a light, delicate tea 😁
11:59 am
Suuuch a fav!
07:02 am
One of my favorites!! I hope you enjoyed your cuppa!!
07:18 pm
Ruth, I love your picture today.
05:11 am
Thank you! ❤️
11:58 am
I don't have any Green Rooibos in my tea cupboard, so I'm starting the day with Golden Needle and hubby is sipping Ali Shan.
05:35 am
Good morning, Mary. Two of the best teas to start the day!
07:23 am
I very nearly made some Golden Needle this morning, but opted for my standby from another vendor (😔) instead.
02:25 pm
Ha. I also almost made golden needle but decided to go for Scottish breakfast. At least that has yunnan in it!
02:57 pm
PS
Good morning everyone! Have a wonderful day!🫖
05:35 am
And you as well, Pam.
05:48 am
Good aftermornoon! My non-24 rhythm is just over 180° flipped, so it's about my 2pm. So, I decided to switch to a green tea... none other than the CommuniTea collab blend: Zoinks!
05:46 am
Thanks for the suggestion, James. That tea blend sounds delicious, and I just added it to my wish list!
07:40 am
Michelle M, I love how you captured the flowers on your beautiful teaware in your amazing artwork. Just perfect.
06:00 am
Thank you, Mary. I'm practicing with wetter watercolors these days! I love the layering effects. I hope you have a wonderful, tea-filled Tuesday!
07:26 am
Good morning, I'm up early studying more for my test. I hope you all have a terrific Tuesday!
06:00 am
You've got this, Carrie. Positive vibes headed your way.
06:01 am
Sending Love & Light.
06:27 am
JS
Hope the studying goes well and that you do well on the test, Carrie. Some subjects are just harder than others though. Tea should make the studying go more smoothly. What are you drinking?
11:56 am
I was having some cinnamon tea to get me going.😃
03:09 pm
Sending my best for your test! I'm sure you'll ace it!
12:26 pm
You can do it !
12:43 pm
Thanks everyone. I feel like I did well..it was math, again. Last night I turned in my first paper...eeeek!
03:10 pm
Good luck, Carrie. You'll do great! God bless...😇
03:56 pm
Good morning, Heather. What are you and Fox up to today? It looked like he was having a blast chasing the dead flowers yesterday. He's such a treasure.
06:03 am
Oh he was he played with that thing for 10-15 min he was sure it was out to get him
01:47 pm
I like green rooibos in blends, but by itself it’s just okay
06:05 am
JS
It’s Vanna Knight, and she’s ready to spin the Wheel of Fortune for you! If you get a cork, she will pour you a glass of wine. But if you are really lucky and get a tea package, she will brew you the best cuppa tea you’ve ever had - Adagio, of course!
06:10 am
Glad she ditched the bankrupt panel , it would be a bummer to get neither of them! lol Thank you Jan for making me burst out into laughter first thing in the morning,
09:47 am
JS
Sue, I was out in the garage looking for props for the latest photos when I saw this device. It’s sold with just the corkscrew tips welded together in a circle with the idea to place a cork on each screw and then use it on your dining table as a trivet. Did any of you already know this or did you have alternate ideas about what the heck it might be? So Janet has said before that she has some type of deciding wheel which I still can’t picture (maybe it’s an app on the computer?). Anyway, that helped me come up with this idea. Now I need to come up with some new ideas pronto. YIKES!
12:03 pm
I'll second Sue. I don't even mind snorting a little tea out my nose when I start laughing, it's worth it!
08:19 pm
Another great pic! I’ll take some wine please!
03:13 pm
JS
Red or white, Nancy? 😆
05:43 pm
Good morning. Waiting to hear from my kids school. Most around us are closing due to icy roads
06:22 am
Tanya, stay safe and warm.
06:23 am
Safe travels.
09:48 am
Heather, the Frenchie planter is soooo cute. Did Fox get you that for Valentine's Day? I love it!
06:22 am
JS
Mary, I thought Fox looked a little jealous.
07:48 am
Yeah a little bit of side eye there, lol.
09:49 am
It was a gift from Mom this weekend. Fox isn’t to sure about it, cause he got in trouble trying to eat the flowers.
12:31 pm
Good morning!
06:25 am
Good morning!

Good morning everyone!!!
06:58 am
Good morning!
08:56 am
Good morning! Generally I am ambivalent about rooibos but this is delightful 🥰
07:02 am
Green and red rooibos have wildly different flavors. I love both but many who loathe red still seem to enjoy green!
03:00 pm
Good morning, everyone! I am SO happy to say that we have heat, we have gas, and we have water!!! 😃 I finally brushed my teeth, got a shower, had something to drink, and ate food. I am feeling sooo much better. Also hard to believe it's Tuesday. 🤣 Probably because I missed work yesterday. Anyway, looking forward to having multiple teas today I guess since I couldn't make tea without water. 😊 I hope everyone has a fantastic day! ❤️
07:17 am
Glad to hear things are back to normal for you! Enjoy your teas.
07:26 am
Thank you so much! So far, Pu-erh Poe was yum! And I ran out of milk thistle. 🤣 Guess I need to get some more of that. Brewing Green Rooibos now. 😊
08:39 am
Wonderful news, Cassidy!
07:28 am
Thank you! ❤️
08:40 am
Congratulations! That's got to be an amazing feeling!
07:33 am
Yes, it absolutely is! Thank you so much!! ❤️
08:40 am
Great news, Cassidy! I hope you have a wonderful tea-drinking workday!
07:35 am

11:26 am
Cassidy, thank goodness! I am so relieved for you. I hope everything goes smoothly from now on.
12:08 pm
Thank you! ❤️
07:59 pm
Oh, fantastic news! So glad you're back to having what you need! If you don't mind me saying, you may want to look into what your landlord's legal responsibilities were for that. I get that, sometimes, it's not worth rocking the boat with the person who provides your housing, but that's usually the kind of thing you can withhold a bit of rent over, at the very least!
12:25 pm
You're right, I'm not too tempted to rock the boat.
08:00 pm
I am happy for you that basic necessities are finally back!
12:45 pm
Thank you! ❤️
08:00 pm
YAY!
03:11 pm
🥳
08:00 pm
Good morning. I'm having this tea later today, this morning I'm having Dragon's Breath. MMMMM
07:25 am
Jean, I love that tea and got a big tin of it. Yum!
12:09 pm
Good morning, everyone. I love green rooibos tea and I think I've had it plain before but since there's no review it must have been in a mystery tea box. I will drink it later in the day, like many others I see. For caffeine this morning I am finishing a cup of New York City Breakfast now and then I will make: [drumroll for my own "Wheel of Fortune, Jan] Yunnan Jig!
07:45 am
Love the drumroll.
09:52 am
I love your scrapbook cover Bambi!
10:34 am
Good morning. I'm starting the day with mango mate/mango black tea. Have a great day everyone.
07:59 am
Hubby feels like he was hit by a bus with Covid and my son is home again today still hacking. I feel run down but my guess is that is because my body is fighting off these illnesses all day. No other symptoms yet though.
08:46 am
Hope you and everyone feels better rapidly!!!
09:11 am
Yuck. Praying for a quick recovery.
09:51 am
Sending love & healing energy.
09:54 am
Hope you all feel well soon!💜

JS
I’m so sorry to hear that your hubby is having a rough time of it today, Jess, and that your son hasn’t yet been able to get rid of the cough. My experience was that the first 2-3 days were really crummy, and then it became more manageable although still miserable. I hope your husband will follow the same path.
12:10 pm
Fingers crossed for you! I had Covid for the first time in November, and it was the same for me - I was just absolutely flattened by it, but by day three I started to feel better. Hoping the light at the end of the tunnel comes for your family just as soon!
12:23 pm
I hope all of you recovery quickly!
12:46 pm
sending love...hope you feel better soon!!
03:12 pm
oh no! I hope they are both feeling better soon and that you stay well!! ((hugs))
07:24 pm
Jess, continued prayers, love and healing for your family!
08:24 pm
Good morning! I'll save today's tea for the afternoon. I'm working late tonight, so I'm relying on caffeine to keep me going!
09:11 am
Today's picture has gifts from CommuniTea folk. Thank you!
09:23 am
G'morn~ how are ye Tea Pals doing? Enjoying PuErh vibes and will make a Green Rooibos brew concoction with Mango Powder, a bit later.
09:35 am
Great morning Twyla Moonbeam!!! Have a Sparkling Day and give some love to Cimi baby & Moxie Roxie White Socks for me too!
09:56 am
Twyla, I just noticed your Cimi Baby Cat tea is on the schedule for this Carturday!!! It looks like a delicious blend! May have to have it a little early!
10:07 am
Excited for Caturday!!!! BabyCat is looking forward to hearing how people enjoy her namesake blend!
11:27 am
Good morning Twyla! Have a marvelous day!
12:48 pm
Thank U, Christine!!!
03:11 pm
oh adding mango powder sounds SO good!!
07:25 pm
I mixed White Toasted Coconut and White Pear for the teapot at work today. It smells strongly of coconut, but the pear overpowers the coconut in the taste.
09:42 am
Sounds yummy Allyson. Did you like it?
10:05 am
Good morning! Today’s tea is light and enjoyable. Getting my day started with gong ting pu!
09:50 am
Good morning! Will drink today’s tea later - need caffeine to start the day.
09:54 am
Good morning! My tea for this morning is honeybush apricot
09:56 am
Tiff I hope you enjoyed it! I've had that one at bedtime the last 3 nights, it's very tasty and relaxing.
08:36 pm
Jan - I love the wheel. I sure hope I get tea!
09:58 am
I think I need the wine....
10:34 am
JS
Michelle, follow the advice I gave Bambi. I’m sure Vanna would be happy to accommodate you too - if the Price is Right!!!! Oh no!
12:19 pm
JS
Bambi, i think if you “tip” Vanna, she may be able to rig the spin for you! 😂
12:15 pm
What kind of “tip” does it take?
03:49 pm
What wheel, Bambi? Inquiring minds want to know, LOL. God bless...😇
03:29 pm
Jan’s picture today had a wheel on it - tea or wine depending on your spin.
03:50 pm
JS
Marlicia, look at my photo for today and the explanation about it that I wrote. Then you will understand about the wheel! I know you will choose tea 😘
07:37 pm
Good morning! Busy day for me today. I help in childcare at a church this morning with two year olds who are very busy. Afternoon at the Dentist and then this evening my first pickle ball lesson. I think I’ll wait to have today’s tea this evening as it is caffeine free. Anyone here playing pickle ball?
10:04 am
We had a work function trying it. Was a lot of fun - similar to tennis. Good luck.
10:05 am
Thanks Bambi! It is similar to tennis but with very weird rules and scoring.
03:11 pm
JS
I haven’t yet, Nancy, but I’ve heard of it. Maybe you can post a photo from your lesson tomorrow?
12:21 pm
I’ll try to remember to get a pic Jan. I’ve played at our community center a couple times but I’m hoping to improve with some lessons. I have one friend that is obsessed with playing.
03:10 pm
I haven't tried it, but I've heard great things! Hope you have fun!
12:21 pm
Thanks Meg!
03:10 pm
Nancy, Something tells me I'm gonna have to Google that one!
08:38 pm
Today's picture takes some explaining. I took a friend to the thrift store yesterday to get a cake pan, and I found a pan of my own: a big ol' cast iron for $4! Very excited to start using it.
10:13 am
Ooh, that looks like a good one! Can't wait to see what magic you cook up in there!
12:21 pm
JS
Red, it looks like you got a real deal! I agree with Meg that we need to see photos of what you make and the recipes you used!
12:23 pm
What a great find Red!
03:06 pm
What an awesome find!!! I love my big cast iron skillet!! I hope you will share photos of some of the loveliness you cook up in it!!
07:27 pm
Red, I'm pretty sure my husband will be over for breakfast. He swears by cooking in cast iron!
08:39 pm
Good morning! I'm finishing up my cup of green rooibos. I found it pleasant to drink with a little stevia added. I started the day with chocolate truffle because I needed some caffeine :)
10:24 am
MMMM chocolate truffle is so good!!
07:27 pm
Julie, I think it may be the best chocolate tea here, but then again I really do like the honeybush chocolate...and Chorange!
08:40 pm
Good Morning my tea friends hope you have a great day!☕️🫖🐈⬛❤️

10:33 am
Happy Periodic Table Day! Like Math, Science is a major weak area for me (it just makes no sense well a lot of the time!). I am an English, Comp, and Arts kinda girl!
10:36 am
Good morning! The green rooibos was smooth not astringent or bitter. For someone not a gt fan, I enjoyed finishing it with honey and cream. Playing catch-up, did anyone combine day 1 & 2 the chocolate and cupid and did it make the perfect cup of chocolate covered cherries? 😊
10:51 am
Great idea
12:28 pm
That sounds yummy! I will have to try that!
07:28 pm
Today's tea is not bad! But I need to switch to a black tea for some caffeine. Steeping some Yunnan Gold - my favorite!
10:54 am
Mmmm -- yunnan gold is delicious! hope you enjoyed it, Madison!
07:29 pm
Good morning!
10:58 am
Not my thing really, but better than red roobios
11:00 am
Agree 100%
02:31 pm
Goood Morning, all! Happy Tuesday all! I'm not a huge rooibos fan, but green rooibos is much better than red. I prefer the softer notes like oat/wheat vs woody/medicinal that the red rooibos has. Not a bad sip today.
11:04 am
One of the things I'm thankful to CommuniTEA for is helping me learn the difference between green YUM rooibos and red NOT YUM rooibos. I prefer the Green Rooibos teas with extra flavoring like Bonita and Blueberry, but even this plain green is far better than any mix with red.
11:06 am
WJ
I am with you all the way. I am not a fan at all of regular rooibos but this green stuff is great.

Sharon, if you have any red rooibos teas that you don’t want, just bundle them up and send them to me - I’ll be happy to pay the postage! 😋
12:50 pm
My friends raid my tea stash when they visit and pick them all out, but if they get tired of them I'll keep you in mind

Jentina - I just saw your question from last night. Yes, it is a bat teapet. His name is Ozzy. :)
11:12 am
Nice!
12:28 pm
supremely awesome!
07:30 pm
In my Green Rooibos cuppa...I blended a bit of Key West & Paradisio with a sprinkling of Mango Powder & a few Blackberries & Blueberries 🥭🫐🍓! The yummyness brought my Spirit up..as I was rather bleh this morn.
11:24 am
Sounds Delish!
12:50 pm
Yummy x 10! I will have to that! Great idea!
07:31 pm
Work hell. Saying hi! Hope everyone is great! Reindeer Fuel to ramp me up today. 😁

Hello everyone!
11:53 am
Good morning tea pals. I posted this last night but I’ll do it again for the earlier crowd and anyone new to communitea. We’re putting together a cookbook! Everyone is welcome to submit a recipe or two. It can be an original you developed, it can be an old family recipe, it can be something that you found and just love making. Whatever you want to share with our tea family! Submissions are open until April 14. Then we’ll have a downloadable pdf available, but we also found a printer if you want a hard copy. And you no longer need to submit a photo if you don’t want to. I’ll happily photograph your dish for my portfolio! Submit your recipes here: https://forms.gle/L1kmLZqazNeRcPjX8
11:55 am
Yay!!!! Now that I don't have to make the dish just to take a photo, count me in!
01:55 pm
Well darn. I just submitted my recipes last week. Clearly, I should have waited a few days so you could take the pictures for me. :-P
02:34 pm
Just sent in my Turtle Bar recipe!
02:59 pm
Yay! That's just in time for my birthday!
05:07 pm
I’m so happy this is still happening. I wanted to submit a recipe (and I even have a picture) but I thought I had waited too long. Thanks for your patience Christine!
09:52 pm
JM
Good morning everyone! I love the cookbook idea!! I'll look for a recipe or two to share. Thank you Christine for putting this together
12:02 pm
Thank you Jenny! I can’t wait to see what you come up with!
01:08 pm
Hello tea friends. I tripped last evening holding a just poured cup of tea and burned my hand and have splash burns on my face. My glasses protected my eyes. I will save today’s tea for this evening. I intend to brew a pot of cherry green for my lunch. Hopefully everyone has a good day today.
12:12 pm
Rita, I'm so sorry. I hope the burns are not bad and heal quickly.
12:18 pm
JS
Oh no, Rita, what a shock, as well as much pain. I hope today is going better for you.
12:29 pm
Oh no! I hope you're okay! :O Did you go to an urgent care? I burned my hand pretty bad with tea once and needed some medicine and bandages.
12:46 pm
I am sorry this happened, I hope it is not serious. Lots of ice (no butter) and then silvadene (burn cream) or Neosporin/triple antibiotic if you don't have any burn cream.
12:56 pm
Oh no! I’m so sorry Rita! I hope that your burn heals quickly and that you have a better day today.
01:23 pm
Oh Rita, Heal Soon!
02:19 pm
So sorry...sending love😘
03:14 pm
Oh my goodness. I'm glad your eyes were protected and hope your burns heal up quickly. God bless...😇
03:26 pm
Oh no! I am so sorry to hear that you burned yourself. I hope that you are feeling better!!
07:33 pm
I hope you feel better soon Rita. Thanks for reminding us all that our cups of tea can be a risky business.
09:50 pm
Hope you heal quickly.

Goooooooooooooooood Afternoon CommuniTEA! How in the name of Green Rooibos herbal on this Happy Tuesday are you Tea drinkers?
12:19 pm
Helllloooo, Woodie! Happy Tuesday afternoon! Wishing you a wonderful day. God bless....😇😇

I was reminded this morning that I need to brew and sip the daily teas and try not to have a preconceived idea about it beforehand. I brewed yesterday’s tea last night before we went to bed and decided to take it with me. I had brewed it in a vacuum-sealed double walled travel mug that keeps things hot for a very long time. I took a couple of sips initially before it had settled down and it wasn’t a favorite. Then I fell asleep and didn’t try it again until very early this morning. Of course it was only a bit above room temp by then but it was actually an enjoyable taste. I’m pleasantly surprised and hope that I can get a second brew from the leaves around lunch time.

Michele C, thanks for posting a pic of the new Selefina organizer box. It looks like it works great! You can really see what you have this way.
12:42 pm
It looked so good Michele C. that is jumped in my cart and is currently being packed. ☺️
01:42 pm
I wish Selefina had a wish list option. I'd put that organizer on mine right away, but I'm not sure I can justify the purchase of it right now...
02:37 pm
They are very pretty in person. Where a taller pack is wider at the bottom when full, a little upside down shake of the pack evens out the contents so the packs are not overcrowded in this tray. I love finding new uses for cardboard boxes that would otherwise just go in the recycling bin, but these look much nicer in the pantry than cardboard.
05:02 pm
I need caffeine in the morning so I'm having my old faithful Scottish Breakfast instead. Looking forward to the green rooibos tonight to wind down.
12:49 pm
I had Scottish Breakfast yesterday for the first time in a while, but something else needed my attention and I way oversteeped what was already going to be a strong cup… it was darn near black and extremely strong lol! Hey, I felt pretty accomplished with the rest of my workday at least. 💁🏻♀️
01:30 pm
yum! one of my fav plain black teas!
07:34 pm
I enjoyed today's tea last night. I forget how good green rooibos actually is on its own.
01:43 pm
I've completed my first week of communiTEA and I'm excited to find other tea enthusiasts! I'd like to formally introduce myself. My name is Tenise and I love talking tea. I took a tour of the Celestial Seasonings facility in Bolder, CO about 10 years ago and have been exploring and growing my tea palette as well has my tea shock since then.
02:09 pm
Welcome!
02:13 pm
Welcome to the group Tenise!
02:17 pm
Welcome!
02:18 pm
Welcome! Did you survive the peppermint room? 😆
02:22 pm
This is so ominous 😂
02:24 pm
JS
Peppermint room? I don’t know for sure but I think I might have skipped that, Tyrell! Tenise, is that something that is still in existence - a Celestial Seasonings facility? I’m not going to switch over but it sounds like it was an interesting experience. Oh, and by the way, welcome, Tenise! Looking forward to getting to know you better.
02:28 pm
Haha it certainly hits! A good way to clear the sinuses.
02:29 pm
Welcome, Tenise! We're glad to have you here! That sounds like an incredible tour - what were your favorite parts?
02:23 pm
Thanks, Meg! All the free samples! :D it was really cool to learn about where the plants grew and how they mixed the blends.
02:33 pm
Regarding my ominus comment... I watched a History Channel documentary on tea, and how Celestial Seasonings have an enclosed room to keep all the peppermint in to prevent it from seeping its flavor into the other herbs. Tour takers say the room is overwhelming to the senses, especially the sinuses:)
03:35 pm
Hello and welcome Tenise. If you love talking tea, you've come to the right place!
02:39 pm
Welcome Tenise! So glad you are here! And yes, you've found a bunch of tea enthusiasts! Just a fair warning though, we are all a bunch of enablers, so if you are trying to curb your tea buying habits, this isn't going to help. 😁
03:08 pm
Always love a good reason to buy more tea
03:18 pm
Welcome, Tenise! This is a great place to grow and refine your tea palette. God bless...😇🫖😇
03:24 pm
Welcome!! :)
03:38 pm
That was a great tour - but mine was about double that ago. They get you hooked.
03:57 pm
Welcome, Tenise!!
07:35 pm
Welcome to the party!
07:49 pm
Welcome! 😃
07:57 pm
Welcome Tenise! I’ve also taken the Celestial Seasonings tour! It is a fun experience.
08:10 pm
Welcome Tenise! Looking forward to hearing your perspective on the teas!

Welcome!

Hi Tenise!

Hubby gave Cici a 1/2 pain pill and 1/2 pill to calm her for her grooming appointment. They turned her away because of that. I wish we knew in advance not to do that. She explained why so I understand, I am not mad, just disappointed in the situation. I feel bad for Cici.

Steve, I was reading through the chats, saw your package icon by your post, and decided to go snooping to see what you had gotten. Wow, what a number of great sounding sample tins you got! I had never heard of any of them. How did you find out about them? I hope you will comment on them as you sip through them. I’m also really interested in the States series, which looks to be fairly new. In particular, I’m waiting to see Kansas (my husband grew up in Topeka) and California where I have lived since I was 2. Looks like they started on the east coast and are making their way across the country.
02:19 pm
Jan, I was originally looking for all things chestnut tea when I came across MajesTEAAA. From there I just queried on blends by Adagio and came across the state series. I was curious to see what other blends Adagio has after enjoying most of the Tinsel Teas.
02:38 pm
What a rabbit hole this topic took me on! I checked out the teas, added Massachusetts and Rhode Island to my wishlist and then found myself copying a recipe to make a RI Red cocktail! I’m back again to review the chat…
09:46 pm
Jan, I could totally be wrong, but I wouldn’t get my hopes about more states. The fandom is called “the original states of freedom” and has 13 teas. I think it’s likely limited to the original 13 colonies.
03:21 pm
I saw about them! Thanks for finding them, Steve. Def wanna order PA & DE. Wish Mandarin Green was still a thing so that MD was available too!
06:06 pm
JS
Darn it, Elizabeth! I hadn’t noticed that! My parents, my sisters, and I immigrated to the States from Toronto in 1956. We didn’t go through Ellis Island, nor did any of our ancestors. I guess I’ll have to look through the blends of the States that are included in the series. Hey, I just had a thought. Maybe Adagio could do a series of the California Missions that were established by Father Junipero Serra. Now there’s an interesting idea! And those of you in the eastern part of the country might decide to come out west to visit some or all of those missions. Actually, I’m liking the idea even more, the more I think about it. How about planning and Adagio road trip?
06:17 pm
Topeka! I grew up about 40 minutes away from there, Jan! :) Used to go up there to see the state history museum, the Zoo, go shopping. :)
07:38 pm
Hello! I hope your TEAsdays are going well. ;-)
02:40 pm

Hi all. I've been working towards using less sweetners in my tea and this one is great without any!
02:52 pm
Love the warmer weather. Bulbs are starting to poke their heads up 😁
03:30 pm
good afternoon! enjoyed some spiced apple chai today and put in an order for more fun tea! excited to redeem some of my sample cards :)
03:53 pm
Green Roobios is my favorite Roobios. I enjoyed it iced with lunch
04:00 pm
It's my favorite too, but that's a little like saying arsenic is my favorite poison.... :-)
04:24 pm
Oh my, look at the time... It's time for me to say goodnighternoon and get some sleep 🥱
04:21 pm
KR
I'm not normally a rooibos fan, but I did enjoy this blend. I did not enjoy trying to spell it for this comment, however.
04:59 pm
Oh no! The dangers of tea! Hope you heal up quickly
05:08 pm
Have a wonderful evening, lovely Adagians. I'm pretty much signing off for the day. Wishing you all pleasant dreams. God bless and sleep well. 😇😴😇
05:29 pm
Thank you for answering my question about the wheel, Bambi. God bless...😇
05:30 pm
Today's tea is OK but it's not really my thing. I'm not a big fan of rooibos. Definitely more to my wife's tastes though: when I asked her if she liked it, she said "yeah, can I finish it?" :D
06:08 pm
JS
What are your favorite teas, James?
06:22 pm
James is a little quiet in chat but very active on the Friday zoom Tea Talk. 😀
06:28 pm
Nice! As much fun as it is to enjoy the same things I also like when a friend has dissimilar tea taste… they can enjoy what I don’t. 😊
06:33 pm

Me too, Erin. That’s why I asked James what he likes. 😉

06:22 pm
If I have any cards you'd like, I will happily take a Maple Creme in trade.
07:41 pm
I really liked today’s sample and getting to try green rooibos as-is and not in a blend with other flavors. I also usually feel like I sleep better after a cup of rooibos, so I’m hoping a good night’s sleep is in my near future.
06:40 pm
So I have received a mystery tea gift! A 1.5oz pouch of Jasmine Silver Needle has arrived at my house with a note wishing me a happy birthday! The note isn't signed, but it came from Adagio according to the shipping label! I never received a notification for this gift, so I can't figure out who it is from, but thank you whoever you are! I didn't know you could even send a gift in the mail, I thought I had to purchase something in order to receive them! But thank you so so much, I love Jasmine Silver Needle! What a sweet and thoughtful gift!
06:53 pm
Ali, if you send an email to info@adagio and ask you most likely will receive an answer as to who sent it.
07:19 pm
If you put an item in your cart when you go to check out you can indicate Change for the address and then select a friend from your list of friends.
07:22 pm
Ilya did explain that the friendship must go both ways for that method to work 😘. However, there may also be a glad count limit, too. I'm not sure.
08:01 pm
That's really cool and good to know!
10:08 pm
It might be Michelle she figured out a how to do this for around my birthday. 🎉🥳
07:27 pm
I would love to take credit for that one, but I did not send the silver needle, alas. Probably the prime suspects are any of us who log in to tea chat on Friday. That's how I heard about it. I only realized after sending a few that way that it would be a good idea to put my name in the note otherwise it does seem to be anonymous. But Bridgette should be able to tell Ali who sent the gift .
07:44 pm
It might be Michelle she figured out how to do this for around my birthday. 🎉🥳
07:27 pm
Hang on to the box so you have the shipping identification. That will help Bridgette
07:56 pm
I'm a huge fan of all the green rooibos blends - I can't believe I haven't tried the plain tea yet!
07:29 pm
So glad to be off work. It was a long day today! So much going on. Nice to just relax and sip some tea. Pu'erh Dante tonight. Hope eveyrone had a great day!
07:42 pm
Left today’s sample in my teapot for a second steep when I added a scoop of double ginger for a first steep. Yum!
08:04 pm
Not a huge fan of rooibos normally, but this one is okay. And nice that it doesn’t have caffeine so I can have it before bed easily.
08:25 pm
green rooibos is so much better than red imo!
08:43 pm
I took my picture this morning but didn't remember to upload it until just now. It helps to actually upload it. Lol
10:06 pm
Such a cute mug!
10:13 pm
This tea was okay - guess I like a less naked tea.
