This month’s book was a complete departure from what we typically read. Beartown by Fredrick Backman. Not one person even the guys in the book club are sports fans, so it was an interesting choice for us. But the moral dilemmas and situations that the characters were in created lots of lively discussion.

Teas - I tend to be good with 1 packet of Splenda. Coffee on the other hand tends to be more "do you want coffee with your cream and sugar?" 😂

I drink both coffee and tea straight up with nothing in the cup usually. If I add stuff it is usually to make a treat drink or with tea I will do it if that is how a blender intended for a tea blend so I can get a feel for what they were going for.

I typically use a very small dab of honey - I’d say it’s about 1/8th teaspoon. Just enough to bring out the flavor of the tea or soften the edges of some astringent teas, but not overpower it.

Samantha, I occasionally do that too...just a tiny bit...and usually only on the second brew to bring out the flavor more. The Adagio Bees honey is not overly sweet...just perfect for me.

Good morning tea pals, and happy Friday Eve. Hubby started the day with Keemun Rhapsody and I had a marvelous cup of Khrissi's blend, Chad's Smoky Bourbon. It is not available at the moment as Mambo is out of stock. However, if you love Lapsang Souchong and Kentucky Bourbon, you will love this blend. Karen, Nancy and Steve all agree with me! I have a big tin of it and will refill it when it is all gone...it is that good. I am doing some cooking today in preparation for my son's visit this weekend. The house is all cleaned (well, almost...other than what I do at the last minute) and ready for his arrival tomorrow. Good times ahead! We’re replacing our air conditioner today- it’s starting to get warm in the house. Hope they finish soon. It’s supposed to get to 109 today. The workers must have amazing stamina to be able to work everyday in this heat.
