I try to take time to do that every day. After lunch, and before I do dishes, I take a few minutes to sit by our pond and watch for the butterflies that come to visit our plants. I gaze at our water lilies and relax to the sound of the waterfall and the birds chirping. I cloud watch, if there are any. It is one of my favorite times of the day.

Good morning all! I plan to join you with a cup of Kukicha today (hah, I almost wrote prosecco again). First I will enjoy an Earl blend, either Dream Drop Delicious or Cheshire Cat dupes. I have some errands to do and a PT appointment but otherwise I’ll be puttering around the house trying to make progress on many things. It’ll be hot again but cooling off for the weekend here.

I bought one of those grounding sheets and really think it's helping me sleep. I'll keep using it since three nights' results are hardly conclusive. Anyone else taken to them? As far as tea, I definitely should have a cup of Kukicha today. I just finished a 24-tea sampler from India and picked up a few new-to-me keeper teas (some based on the inspo rather than an actual tea included).

I considered getting one of those once, or a mousepad version, since I’m in-house a lot and am on the computer for work. Re-reading just now on the nih.gov site: Grounding appears to improve sleep, normalize the day–night cortisol rhythm, reduce pain, reduce stress, shift the autonomic nervous system from sympathetic toward parasympathetic activation, increase heart rate variability, speed wound healing, and reduce blood viscosity.

Good morning tea pals and happy Wednesday to you. I have laundry going and we took Laddie to see his vet this morning for his annual checkup. All was fine, and we will get the lab results tomorrow. He had to fast for his appointment and was such a good little fellow...did not raise a fuss at all. He has now been fed and is busy digesting. I have Elderberry Wine (the tea, the tea!) in the fridge for later today and have Kentucky Bourbon (again, the tea, the tea!) in my cup at the moment. I love the tea of the day, Kukicha, but know most of you are not that fond of green tea. However, give it a try...you never know!

Good morning! Can't say I'm sorry to be missing this one. Today is evidently a day for finishing off some sample tins of Friend Blends. I mixed the remainder of a tin of Tenise's The Astronaut with my spin on English Breakfast for my morning sip, and I have a cold-brewed concoction of white peony, peppermint, and the last of my tin of ChasiTEA's Strawberry Mint Green in a tumbler for the day. Hello friends, after 2 months off I am ready to jump back in for September! Just in time for all the yummy fall teas. This morning I am drinking Arabica Mocha. It is new to me and one that someone sent me during the spring tea swap. Very interesting flavor, not sure I would order it but I like it.

I decided to have apricot black tea today. I am sticking with more caffeine post migraine. My friend made the recommendation. She has had migraines since surviving a serious auto accident at age seven. When I described the headaches I started getting as I entered perimenopause, she said I was describing migraine with aura. She made several recommendations for me to try and I have had some success with them. Unfortunately I can’t really predict when I will get a migraine, months often go by between them.

I have had migraines my entire life. It's important to try to recognize triggers which can be hard with as far between as yours are. For me sleep and sleep schedule interruptions and alterations are big triggers. Many have alcohol consumption and I have even seen red meat as one for some people. I have had success with nurtec (rimegepant) used as needed though many take it preventatively. Hope you find relief and some answers as migraines are brutal.

Hubby used to get migraines frequently in his mid to late 20’s and would be incapacitated for days. He found success with caffeine and Advil. I used to get ocular migraines which at first scared the heebee jeebees outta me cause I thought I was going blind the first time one hit. I immediately went to my PCP and was told what it was. I am lucky though, I don’t experience pain with them, just about 5 minutes of fuzzy kaleidoscope auras, which slowly transitions to black with faint zippy and dazzling “sparks or stars” (sometimes in one eye) and then it reverses slowly back to normal. I got them because of stress, and hormones. Since HRT I haven’t experienced one since. Last one was in 2014. It was very frustrating and made me paranoid thinking one would happen while I was driving.

My grandma stays away from dairy and sugar to eliminate her migraines. My mom has shots and other medication for when she feels a migraine coming on. I've never gotten them as often as my mom, but have found acupuncture has helped as a preventative measure and when I do get one I take an ibuprofen, tylenol, and aspirin together.

Just got back from seeing new "The Naked Gun" movie. It was so good and really kept the same comedic approach from the old naked gun and police squad films even down to hiding silly credits mixed in the real credits. Highly recommend for fans of the old or just satire and absurdity.
