Pic is some of my coworkers at our photo shoot today (I'm not in the picture). Lots of cute homemade outfits including hats, aprons, tops, skirts, and dresses; all with a food themed fabric. There was around 10 of us, and everyone was laughing and having a good time. I was especially impressed that we were all hanging out getting different shots done for an hour and a half and no one was stressing about the time or rushing people to get finished up like would have happened at some of my former companies. I'll post some of the official photographers shots when I get them.

So tried. Had to go into work again for no reason. I finally asked why I need to go in when I have been doing my job from home better then anyone else on a 25+ team and was told I only expect u to go in once a month, if that. So basically the the manager from the other team lied to me to get me to come on site for no reason other to criticize and make me do his manager responsibilities. I am not even a part of this department and am planning on escalating to my manager and director because I just found out he was lying about expectations. My supervisor backed me but now we have to run it up the chain of command. I am so stressed because I have been doing the managers responsibilities at a third of the pay. Am I over reacting? I am running an entire building by myself to me that is director level so not sure what to say to my manager. I think they know they are taking advantage but I am getting burnt out and am tried of being under paid.

Not at all overreacting! Is this a position with a clearly written job description, or is there a precedent for someone in your position to be taking over these extra duties? At the very least please ask your immediate supervisor whose direction you are to follow. If it’s not theirs, you need to know who you’re actually reporting to and what they expect of you.

That definitely sounds wrong. I remember back in the late 70s I was hoping to be promoted to day shift charge nurse, as I worked days and had been doing the job. Instead they brought the Night Shift charge nurse up for the position, and she wasn’t very well liked by the other staff. She was really chummy with me for awhile. Then she was given a project to do and thought she would pass it off on me. Sound familiar? I told her that she got the position and it was hers to do, not mine. Next thing I knew, I was told that I was having a problem working under her because I didn’t get the position. I then transferred to another floor in the hospital. I’m sorry you are going through what sounds like the same thing. Sounds like the person above you is taking credit for your hard work. I’m so sorry you are going through this.

This is so infuriating, and I am so sorry you're dealing with that, I have never had a job I wasn't taken advantage of due to my kindness and work ethic. It really stinks! My last job my boss was a millionaire, and I worked for peanuts and ran her company while she drank starbucks and played with her hair all day, well the days she showed up. Steffi,Do you have a HR department? I would talk to them also. So sorry you have been used for being a diligent hard worker and being conscientious about doing a great job. Every workplace seems to have Huckleberrys that push their work on to others who go above and beyond. Guess it is time to let upper management know what has been transpiring. Hopefully they will pay you for the position of responsibility you have already been doing. If not, there are so many places who would love to have a person with your work ethic. Stand up for you, you deserve better, you are not over reacting.

I’m amazed by all the blends and feel intimidated about trying to do it myself because surely someone else has done it already. I am starting to explore putting my own blends together based on other blends I have seen described. In the evenings I have been mixing decaf Earl Grey, decaf vanilla and some fruit teas. Last night it was a little lemon lavender. Truly delicious, but not an original idea by any means. I suggest that you stick with your ideas for a blend and give it a try, even if today’s tea looks similar.

Okay, I have no idea who/what Ushijima Wakatoshi is. Many times I feel so old with this group! First, I didn’t know what the Umbrella Society was, and now we’ve watched all of them. Then there was Stranger Things, and we are still working our way through that. However, it’s gotten a lot of monsters in it and I’m a sissy! I think we are either on the last or next to last season of it. Then OUAT got mentioned, and I thought “Whaaaatttt?” Then I looked it up and said, “Oh, that.” We watched it a long time ago and at some point lost interest, but maybe things picked up again. Now I suppose this is another series I’m not familiar with. Geez, you younguns make me feel so old! What happed to Shirley Temple, Bing Crosby, Fred Astaire, and Danny Kaye??? 😂

Jan, this is anime! I am too old for it, too. Google is my only hope. One thing I've noticed about anime is that the same characters show up as comics, and TV shows, and movies and even live action (Cowboy Beebop, I noticed because I like John Cho). For today's tea here is what I found Wakatoshi Ushijima (Japanese: 牛島うしじま若利わかとし , Ushijima Wakatoshi) is a third year student at Shiratorizawa Academy. He is the captain of the boys' volleyball team. He plays as a wing spiker and is the team's ace. He was the number one ace in Miyagi Prefecture and ranked among the country's top three aces.Sep 21, 2018

No worries. I haven’t watched most series, whether a fandom tea is based on them or not. I imagine there are others in the group that are similar. I don’t particularly care what series a tea is highlighting. Each tea is an individual taste sensation to be enjoyed (or not) for the flavors it contains, rather than for someone’s idea of a character or series. I do appreciate, though, the time, thought, and creativity that blenders put into trying to create the perfect blend. I hope you decide to create a fandom based on Shirley Temple, Bing Crosby, Fred Astaire, and Danny Kaye. I would love to see what interesting teas you make.

Shelly, thank you. Poor little fellow has such anxiety in the car. He is a rescue. We adopted him (he was found as a stray by animal rescue) when he was about 10 months old so I don't know if he had bad experiences in a car before that or what. We tried everything...taking him to parks, the pet store, etc., but nothing seems to calm him. Even tried medication prescribed by his vet to no avail. He is 12 years old now so we just only take him in the car when necessary.

Poor Tut was sneezing blood this morning. We think the humidity level in our house might be lower than where they just boarded, and maybe the inside of his nose was dry. I called my vet, and they said to keep an eye on him and if it continues to call back Monday morning. He is taking his post-breakfast nap and everything seems normal.

He just had his geriatric exam the beginning of July and everything was fine. He hasn't seemed "off" since we picked him up yesterday, and our friend didn't mention anything. She works for our vet, and we have been boarding them with her for years, so she knows Tut well.

Aww. I hope Tut is feeling better soon! Zen has similar symptoms sometimes. I keep a bottle of baby saline (only saline, no additives; Little Remedies or Ayr brands) around at all times and give him a drop in each nostril as needed (or a little squirt if he’s not cooperating belly-up for drops).

I’m working on it. I’ve had a couple days of this where even water won’t stay down. I missed tea talk yesterday because I gave up and went to urgent care. They gave me an IV to hydrate and that helped a lot. Then they told me to make an appointment with my regular doc. Which I can’t do until the 26th. Which is why I was at urgent care 🙄.

Late start today! Woke up with a head a headache so went back to bed! 😴 picture today is on a mini cup I got in San Diego on my last trip there! And have I said how much I LOVE the simpliciTEA pot!! I am getting I more of these! 1) because I’m sure I will break one! 😂 and two they are perfect for making the CommuniTEA packets and cold brewing! 💕

Okay, I have no idea how to pronounce the name of today’s tea but I like it! I tasted mostly hazelnut which is yummy but I didn’t notice the chocolate and the cinnamon as much. If I had another portion, I would probably add some chocolate coffee and some cinnamon chips to add to those flavors.

Shelly I went on my fiancees computer and hit the psd example link and it opened a program he has installed called gimp. Which is a fancier photoshop program, I needed help since gimp was pretty advanced, it was like paint on steroids. Maybe click that and see if it opens in paint?💜

Today's tea seems pretty good. It seems like it would be better sweeter though, so I'll probably do that. Most flavored teas seem better sweeter to me.

Today I learned that humans also eat creamy chicken! I always thought creamy chicken was a cat food because, well, that's what Lucy likes to eat. I found an advertisement for creamy chicken that was for human consumption and excitedly showed my mom who thought I was an absolute moron. Hahaha! 🤣 The more you know!

Just had an eyeroll moment.....we took our trash out and my son went downstairs to check if there was a washer open so we could do laundry. Two were open, so we came back up and I grabbed the bag of clothes and went downstairs. I get to the laundry room and a guy is in there -- filling up BOTH open washers. Then he proceeds to go out the door and to another building in the complex. He doesn't even live in our building.....I was really annoyed and muttering under my breath as I carried our laundry back upstairs. We will do ours in the morning -- and I hope he put his red socks in with his t-shirts and his whole load turns pink!! I hope the dryers eat one of each of his pairs of socks!!! I hope the washer goes off before the spin cycle and he has to pay another $1.75 to get his load to drain! Yeah -- I gave him the laundry curse!!! DIdn't take just one of them.....he took both. And doesn't even live in my building. Jerk face!!! Ok rant over -- brewing tea. Still huffy though. Rabble rabble rabble con sarn it gal dernit brassa fracking horney toad jerk face!

😂 having lived with a shared washer/dryer I understand and appreciate your carefully chosen laundry curse. 😂❤️ Hope you get the laundry soon and your clothes smell wonderful when they're done, you remember all the items you wanted to add (no stray towels in the kitchen floor) , and your clothes all dry perfectly in the dryer cycle with no dampness or shrinkage!! 😝❤️😂

It was either laundry curse him.....or channel the old landlady from Kung Fu Hustle. I chose the laundry curse and brewing tea. :) I can't stay annoyed sipping a Mai Chai latte with a piece of banana bread. (I hope his underwear shrinks in the dryer.....and that all his socks stick up the legs of his pants with static). :)
