Sipping this highly caffeinated Formosa ruby 18 black as I type, staying up late watching Divergent, a new to me movie, pretty cool so far for a dystopian genre film

John, I liked the way they did their dystopian future throughout all three movies with that interesting little twist at the end of the Third one. Enjoy!

Paula, it was a rough go last night. Tonight will be better. Some days my fibromyalgia acts up and yesterday was one of them. The good news is the flare-ups don't usually last very long.

Today's picture is a cane I just bought, if you guys remember from Halloween I have the skeleton house in my neighborhood so I thought the skull cane would be fun and maybe a little helpful for my knee/hip problems. I thought I was doing well today but I must have extended my knee to far getting into the car today and my knee buckled, down again flat on my back. I am getting pretty sick of falling :( I might need to go back to the doctor. I'll talk to my physical therapist later this week.

Eli is settling in well. I think my husband might FINALLY have a cat, if not I will have 3! Ares and Henry gravitate towards me and will rarely give him the time of day. He slept in the front bedroom with Eli last night, and Eli curled up with him and was very snuggly. Fingers crossed! When we introduce them, I think Ares will be just fine. He seems very curious. But, I think Henry might have his nose out of joint for a while.

Awwww, as someone who had 3 cats before I had *my* cat, I love this for your hubby! Misty, cat #1 ended up being my mom's cat, Harley, cat #2 ended up loving my dad and Ninja, cat #3 is TechyBrent's little princess. Finally we got Kamikaze and she is TOTALLY my kitty. Good luck on the introductions. That period can be so stressful!

Good Morning CT. I’m sorry I’ve been MIA, but we’ve had some major changes happen at the home front and with a family member going on hospice. As a caregiver professionally, I’ve been stepping in where I am needed. At home, our oldest doggo had an emergency vet visit for labored breathing and a possible seizure. He has CHF and so we knew right away what was going on. He was at the vet for two days and three nights to stabilize and observe. They upped his heart med and added a new one and is home quietly resting. However after this scary encounter hubby and I have discussed about future plans to gently let him go when the time is right. We would’ve then, but the vet was confident that with some medical intervention we could get at least six more months of time with him comfortably. So technically if you think about it, we have two family members on hospice. Emotionally drained and on some occasions numb, hubby and I are doing what we can and have to do. Those who are spiritual, prayers are always accepted, as this household is on edge, and trying to keep up with the fast pace changes. I appreciate and love each and every one of you, and hope yall are doing well.

Praying for you. Both things are difficult to deal with and one on top of the other very emotionally and physically draining. My mom had a dog with similar symptoms- heart trouble can look like seizures. She did very well for a couple years on heart medications. Take care of yourself also.

Greetings CT! I like the formosa ruby 18 black tea. The liquor is a very nice color. I can see the ruby red color. Very nice mouthfeel in this cup. I am getting the licorice notes when I smell the steeped leaves, but only a slight hint of the flavor on the tongue. I'm definitely going for multiple steeps with this one.

First time trying the Tencha tea today. Beautiful green and delicate leaf pieces in the packet. It’s a much lighter sip than matcha; more like a Kukicha or Gyokuro in both flavor and color in my cup.

Michele, thank you for your thoughts on Tencha. It sounds lovely. I am a Kukicha and Gyokuro fan so will try to grab a bag of Tencha before it is gone. It is currently on the Chopping Block so it probably won't be around for long.

My hubby loves black jelly beans, and it was my Dad's joy to send him a box of black jelly beans from a local candy store. I miss him so!

I can't really taste all the notes mentioned in the description here, but as an unflavored black tea, this is still a good one for me. Being one of the Masters Teas, I rarely buy it though, so it's nice to get it here in the CommuniTEA.

Added a photo of my daughter playing in river from yesterday. Been feeling a bit absent in tea chat lately and hope everyone is doing good. Happy birthday to anyone celebrating today. We took the tram to the tip of Cannon mountain today. It is the last season for it to run as they are retiring it after 45 years and in 18-24 months there will be a new one. It is one of the oldest ski areas and has a ton of history there. Cool little museum at the bottom on property as well.
