Birthday Celebrations

The Adagio Teas communiTEA page was abuzz with birthday wishes, especially for Andrea Eddington, Rene, and Lois. Many members, including Paula M, Tanya, Michelle McGill, Kate B, and others, sent their heartfelt congratulations and hopes that their celebrations would be filled with joy, love, and, of course, plenty of good tea. Andrea Eddington thanked the community for the well wishes and shared a personal anecdote about making gazpacho for her special day.

The day's featured tea was Cherry Green, which sparked a lively discussion. Several members such as Mary B, M, and Bambi Hora compared cherry varieties, and there was mixed feedback about the tea itself. We are getting ready for a short road trip. We're heading to Harrisburg, PA to pick up a new baby! Nyx/Eli is a 6 month old smoke Egyptian Mau, whose former home fell through due to extenuating circumstances. He is from the same breeder that Henry came from, so we know he'll be a good boy! I'll have a better (less dusty!) picture of him to post tomorrow.

Michelle, I would like to appreciate bagpipes today. When we went to London in 2000 we were there for the New Year's Day parade. I was so excited to see the pipe bands. Alas, there were none! All the bands were from the States!! Who would have thought. Amazing Grace is so beautiful played on the bagpipe. I always want to go to the Highland Games to hear the bagpipes when it occurs each year here in February but have only made it one time as there always seems to be bad weather. Maybe next year...

Mornin❣️ Per my CT pic today, Yesterday was a wonderful, magickal Wizardry Fest in a quaint town that I haven't spent a ton of time in, before. Was nice to explore. Of course, I hit up a metaphysical store and also the historical society and ol' tyme soda jerk. (Got a Blackberry Puree soda water.) And ...bestie and I had early bird din-din with tried and true roasted brussel sprouts, a wedge and Mediterranean flatbread...((which I swear they forgot to put some kind of drizzle on it, Dry as a BONE.)) Thus, I requested a nice "flight" of dipping sauces & that saved the day. 😹🥖𓐐𓎩𓈟..... Then made some intention-bottle creations at a vendor friend that we always gotta partake in her wares. Made a lil 🕉🧿 Third Eye Blessings bottle with Crystals, Flowers and Herbs! 🫙❤️ ...Right now sipping on an infuser blend steep of Gold Leaf Assam & Yunnan Gold. 💛🏅🍵

Good morning tea friends. I hope you are enjoying the weekend. Another hot day here. I cooked this morning so we did not get out for our morning walk. Hubby made egg in the pan for breakfast, which was accompanied by Rohini Gold Wire. Yum! I just had my one cup of coffee a week after Sunday lunch...from the Lardera Coffee Advent Calendar...and it was Chocolate Caramel. Yum again! I hope the weekend energizes you for the week ahead.

Here's an update on our friend Darin who recently had brain surgery to remove a tumor. They got about 80% of it. He had surgery on a Monday and they originally said he'd be in ICU through Thursday but he was home on Wednesday. He'll be starting chemo and radiation soon to treat what they couldn't remove surgically. Thank you to all those who prayed. Continued prayers for full and complete healing would be greatly appreciated.

I must dispense random information! Based on background imagery and fashion, someone figured out the time period of Beauty and the Beast. The biggest clue is the Eiffel Tower image during 'Be Our Guest' which was completed in 1889. Given a year or two for a rural town to learn about the happenings of the rest of the country, and that no one has been to the castle in 10 years, the movie is set in 1900-10.

It was a rainy day today. After walking in ponchos downtown and visiting the world's longest candy counter at Chutters we then spent the day wading/swimming in the Ammonoosuc River with the family. Found some crawdads and played in the water not wanting to lose a day to weather. Found a beaver dam that I am assuming was abandoned as we never heard any tails slapping the water warning others to stay away, but we gave it some distance anyway.
