118 days till Halloween 💜🎃💜 HAPPY OZZY DAY!!!🖤🖤🖤 Today is Ozzy, and Black Sabbath's final bow in Birmingham. I should be there, even without a ticket, I would have traveled there, had my health and money situation not hindered my process. It is absolutely bittersweet for me, but I will stream it from home and cry those happy tears, which I always do when I see Ozzy. It's so crazy to think the first time I saw him in concert I was 13, he was already a superhero in my mind, and I still feel the very same way, all these years later. My dream was to meet him and I've come so close a few times. My other dream was to see him 100 times, but im settling for the 96 times i have, which have been a mix of solo Ozzy and Black Sabbath shows. One time I got to watch him from the side of the stage and he stood on that stage and raised his arms at me, and smiled. Another I watched him preform Bark at the Moon during a solar eclipse. These shows were all so special to me.I have towels, and waterbottles he's tossed in the crowd. Ozzy is the namesake of my dearest lil friend, Sabbath. I could go on and on all day about how much, Ozzy and Black Sabbath, have shaped my soul and being. At 830 am my time,the stream starts and the day is full of other amazing bands, I love, inspired by Sabbath, as well because let's be honest they started it all. I even have some friends playing the show, who I met because I'm a crazy person who would sit outside busses and hotels till daybreak just praying to get a glimpse, maybe a picture with Ozzy. Today will be so special and I'm really excited to watch the show with Sabby. One day eventually I hope to make my pilgrimage to Birmingham, and see all these places in Sabbath history. Up too early this morning considering how late the booms and pops went last night (really early morning). Unfortunately I expect more of the same tonight. Have a great Saturday CT folks!

Good morning tea family. Hubby started the day with Yunnan Noir and I had Ruth's Earl of the Tiger in my cuppa...yum! Earl Grey Moonlight and Tiger Eye blended together...genius! I thank Bambi for her most generous gift. Laddie did not react at all to the fireworks surrounding our house last night...and for that we are truly grateful. However, he had another bad digestive tract night. He had to go during the night again...soft but not exactly diarrhea, but not normal color either...and then upchucked a bit. So I am going to give him only his canned food today and not as much as usual to see how he fares. I am a bit puzzled as the previous night he was fine but the night before that he was not. Will just have to monitor him over the weekend. If he is not improved by Monday then we will take him to our vet. Happy Caturday to all. I am doing some rearranging/cleaning out today. It is rainy this morning so no morning walk. Hubby is quite tired from sleep interruptions so I told him to take it easy today. I’m glad you’re enjoying the tea Mary! I am so sorry about Laddie. That sounds a bit like Roger last week. He was off and didn’t want to eat either. The vet said lots of bacteria in him but no parasites which was good. He’s now taking some antibiotic. I hope Laddie improves without having to get the antibiotic. Give him lots of extra puppy pats from us here in OK.

Bambi, thank you so much for your kind thoughts. Laddie is quite willing to eat. I am just cutting down his portion to try to help his digestive system heal. He has enjoyed the extra pats from you, and I am enjoying your lovely tea gift. It was exactly what I needed this morning.

Poor puppy, both ends. Bellatrix’s breed is notorious for sensitive stomach and anything she hasn’t been “exposed” to food wise will immediately disrupt her gut ecosystem. Last week she ate a very small amount of cat food due to my lack of carefulness in closing the baby gate to to the room the kittens were in. She had what we call boo boo butt for at least five days. I upped her probiotic and gave her anti diarrheal during that time. She was her normal happy self, just an out if order tummy. I hope your fur baby gets to feeling better soon. Gentle hugs and pats to Laddie and a hug to you too.

Ottum, thank you so much for sharing your experience and your kind wishes. We have been spoiled by Laddie because he hardly ever gets tummy upsets. As such, we are most likely overreacting. Other pups we have had in the past have had digestive issues on and off and they always cleared up, so we were used to that. We have had Laddie for 13 years and he has never had digestive issues until lately. Hence, we are worried parents! Thanks for the hug...I needed that...and here's one for you for being so thoughtful and such a good tea friend.

Our one doggo has a sensitive stomach, and the other will eat anything and seems just fine (I play 'what's in Rocky's poop' when I pick up the poo in the yard, SO many strange things. I do try to monitor him, but somehow he is a doggy vacuum. I hope Laddie feels better, and you can figure out and prevent the trigger!

Poor Laddie. I hope you can solve the mystery of his tummy upset soon—both for his comfort and for yours.

Paula, he seems to be doing well during the day. He normally sleeps right through the night without incident. However, last night and the night before last he had the nighttime potty visits and upchucks. Really not sure what is going on. He has a follow-up appointment on July 17 so we will discuss it with his vet if he does not have future episodes. However, if he continues to get worse, or stops eating and drinking, we will try to get him in earlier to be seen.

Howdy and morning tea pals. Hope everyone is getting some R&R after yesterday’s festivities. Hubby and I stay home on the 4th, mostly because it gets too crowded and gosh darn HOT, but we do light some sparklers, throw snap its, and set off blooming flowers. We live by a veteran who struggles with PTSD from being in action so we choose items that wont trigger it. He causally mentioned it one year saying he dreaded firework holidays because of that. Since then hubby and I deliberately choose smaller and quieter fireworks. The snap its can be loud but they dont sound like bullets or artillery shells and he has confirmed those dont affect him. Overall we had a very good night despite it being soggy, which honestly it set me at ease knowing the risk of fire was lower, but we still tracked down each and poured water on them to be sure. May your Saturday be restful.

Ottum, you are a very considerate neighbor. It is a shame more people are not like you. Good for you for finding a way to enjoy the holiday and celebrate without causing undo anxiety for your neighbors.

Good morning tea friends. I didn’t like today’s tea the last time I had it. This morning I read Jim’s review again and noticed that he used 12 ounces of water. I did the same thing this morning and I actually liked the tea much better. I’m going to drink my second steep as soon as we finish grocery shopping.

ArtyJen, after the horrible flash flooding yesterday, I pray you and TechyBrent are safe. My momma heart is breaking seeing all the news coming from that area. There are still 23 young girls missing that were at summer camp, not to mention other people missing that were out camping along the Guadalupe river. Texas hill country could use your prayers.

Thanks for checking on us, Michele! We're fine, just lots of rain. Kerrville is a mess though and they still haven't found those girls. It's so tragic. We've gotten more rain than usual this summer and it's taking its toll. I think the volume and the fact the ground just can't absorb it is a deadly combo. People are asking, how was there no warning? Yeah, it just doesn't work like that here. The rain comes fast and it can be almost instantaneous how the water rises. And it was the middle of the night on top of it all. I'm hoping there is a good outcome but it just seems like the odds are against it.

I’m glad y’all are safe. That water went from 0 to 27 feet in 45 minutes, I just can’t imagine. I had to get off social media because people were turning this tragedy into a political war of words, just disgusting. I’ll be praying for these people, just like those in NC flood area.

I've got a busy day and week ahead of me, and don't want to miss my indoor walk (especially if it proves to be too hot to go outside later.). Leftover BBQ ribs. We dont grill during the hottest months in texas so Ive learned to perfect a few thing via crockpot and oven. Takes a bit more effort but worth the mock taste. Crockpot ribs on low for four hours and finish off in the oven on broil for 15 minutes to “char” the fat and edges, slap on your favorite sauce and *chefs kiss*. Hubby did his happy dance when he saw the rack in the fridge this week 😂.

That sounds awesome, Ottum. I do remember Texas summers, and springs and early Fall, LOL. Choose your degree of heat. Still that's where both our girls were born, so I have a soft spot for Texas, despite the heat. God bless, stay cool and enjoy your leftovers...they sound yummy. 😇😇😇

GusGus is being velcro dog today. I can't blame him...he did have a rough night due to all the fireworks. I have a library class and I'm packing my bag (books to return, etc) to take with me....and he's sitting on the bed watching with The Look on his face. The I-know-you-are-going-out-and-leaving-me-here look. I promised him a walk when I get home before the noise starts again. Gotta get in extra walkies before it gets dark as he will be going all night again without going out.....and I put a blanket in my closet so he can hide in comfort at least. It's amazing how talented doggos are at guilt trips, isn't it!!!!!! :)

One of my boys and his friend were in the yard when the neighbors grandson caught their garbage can on fire (he set off fireworks in it, then threw a bag of garbage on top, is what I was told by my boys). They rushed to help and today when I got home from work they had a thank you letter in the mail with giftcards as a thank you

Today's tea is nice. Not really my thing, but still generally good.

I greatly enjoyed todays tea. Had three steeps worth, and made sure to watch the temp and steep time as I saw some say it is easy to brew bitter. First cup had a strong smoke aroma and taste, almost on the edge of being too much, but then the lovely sweet and light fruit notes came through. Second and third steep were close to the same, a more mellow smoke taste with fruity peach flavor and the lingering honey finish. Since I saw tomorrow’s tea is an iced tea I went ahead and started on it. The water is already a blue color which is so fun to watch.
