So if you are at a museum that comes to life, what display are you going to? Whelp, it’s not the Dino one for me! Talking to paintings would be interesting, though. Picking an exhibit to see would be so hard! I know it's technically breaking the rules, but I'd have to pick a whole museum, but not just any museum. I would have to pick the St.Louis City Museum, that place is already wild! If it came to life I could only imagine how much more wild it would be! Though, I might view the roof from a distance, a giant mantis statue coming to life might be dangerous. 😆

I saw my retina specialist yesterday and everything still looks good! I don't have to go back for another 2 years. In 2017, I developed a huge floater and had flashers. It scared me, as I thought my retina was detaching. I was able to get an emergency appointment with my eye doctor, who said everything was ok but I should see a retina specialist, just to be safe. The specialist found some areas of lattice (weak spots) in my retina, so we have been following them since then. Nothing has changed since I first saw him, so maybe they have always been there?

I’ve been researching seeing an ophthalmologist after being told I have some vitreous detachment going on (an annoying grey cloud in my vision that floats in and out of my view frequently), but I hadn’t realized that would more specifically be a retina specialist until you mentioned this and I looked it up. My eye doc didn’t refer me anywhere; just said this is a common thing as we age. I like the idea of getting a higher level second opinion, and it would also be nice to have a specialist lined up in case things take a turn for the worse.

My father also had macular degeneration, so that's something that I am on the lookout for. The retina specialist does a very thorough exam!

Green tea had me thinking about Eduardo Kac's green bunnies that he created through molecular biology. They literally glowed in the dark. While exploring PhD programs, I was lucky enough to see him speak on the topic at UNC-Chapel Hill. I didn't end up going there but was happy I chose that day to visit! Happy Sipping!

I FINALLY got to sip my May friend blend of Ginger-Peach Scones. Sorry, Khrissi, for the enormous delay! The intention is to use the tea for cooking. However, I'm not much of a baker and got rid of all my baking supplies (because I hardly ever did it!) when we moved cross-country. So, I just sipped this brew and enjoyed it that way. It's a zingy little cup with some subtle peach in the background. The oolong provides a nice base for all the fruit flavors and tingly peppercorns and ginger. Hi, Bambi! I’ve also been working in the garden. I started a bit late but I’ve got some snow peas popping up, as well as 2 kinds of patty pan squashes. One is pale green and one is bright yellow with a bright green blossom end. I have only cooked patty pan squashes once and that was a long time ago. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? I know they usually get baked after they have been halved and scooped out, but I don’t have any recipes for the filling.

Such a tasty green tea today. Day four of the heat wave here. Storms are expected later this afternoon and evening. I sure hope that it takes some of the humidity with it. I had to turn the thermostat way up, the ac was continuously running. It was a miserable night in our hot upstairs.

Tea deliver day today...hurray! Adagio sent me a week (starting June 22) of CommuniTEA but so far I am not able to upload a photo. I also am not able to share my unboxing photo as of yet as the status of my order is still Out for Delivery. However, as soon as I can I will share my unboxing photo. I will let you know what I think of the teas I have not had before and have not previously reviewed.

That is one big issue with the system. You can’t order a CT box for someone else in your order and only mark that as gift. And if you do a seperate order it adds postage costs.

Oh my goodness yes and since it faces the sun most of the time, even on a not-hot day our front door gets dangerous. It is a new door, not nearly as bad as the old one, but I still got a burn putting my elbow against it the other day. I took the door's temperature at 5:30pm today.
