I like chamomile by itself, but I wish it wasn't so messy to clean out of the infuser after 😂 it seems to always end up with mushy little bits separating from the flower buds and sticking to all of the holes.

I'm sorry I disappeared for a week. I was scrambling to find a part-time job and couldn't for weeks. Now, I'm doing Door Dash and Spark because they're the only delivery apps in my area, and there's no rideshare at all. It's eating up a lot of my free time. But I have to find a way to make at least $320 a week ($250 for take-home, $70 for taxes), which means I'm driving any time I can. I'm HOPING the weekend will be better than the last couple of nights.

If you come to Savannah, you must visit the Plant Riverside district. It is a hotel, a collection of shops, restaurants and bars set in an old electric utility plant. The entire structure has been completely decorated with a multi-million dollar art and artifact budget which primarily includes geodes, crystals and fossils. It is a wonderful and fascinating place to walk around and spend some time with a cup of tea.

I save camomile for the evening before bed. It’s soothing. According to my mother, I was given camomile tea with caraway seeds for gas as an infant. This was at the recommendation of my paternal grandmother. That combination turned me off of both tastes for many years. I still don’t really like the taste of caraway seeds very much. An occasional cup of camomile or a camomile blend like the Pisces tea is enjoyable now.

Interesting combo. A lovely lady at the expo talked about how in South Africa they all drink red rooibos and use it for everything. They will put it in baby's bottle for colic or on a cloth for a rash.

My Virginia Bluebells have open flowers today. :) The plant is native to Kentucky and other states too. With so many CT members from the Northeastern states, you may already know about the plants and/or have seen such loveliness. I was given a single plant a about a week ago and was naturally very pleased to see blooms today! Frankly, I'm pushing the boundaries of the plant's needs but I do love spring and blue flowers so I wasn't going to say no even though I'm hard pressed to find a stellar spot for it on our sunny medium-dry site. It is tucked behind our shed in the part shade area the wall of house and shed make. Can you say desperate? ;)

A funny story about chamomile, I spent about 5 years trying to grow it from seed in my garden with each year being a bust. I finally gave up, planted no seeds and chamomile magically grew. The punchline...... I then discovered that I don't much care for chamomile tea. Ah well, they are a pretty addition to my garden and I get a good chuckle each year when they bloom.
