It should probably be called Caring Day since that is what mothering is all about. I believe my hubby mothers me as much as I mother my Laddie and son. I hope you are enjoying your weekend. After our brunch adventure yesterday, I decided to start the day with April in Paris since I had a taste of May in Paris with the surprise meal we enjoyed. Hubby had Milk Oolong in his cup. Janet, I do believe my hubby out-mothers me. He is roasting vegetables and cooking filet mignon for our meal today so we don't have to fight the crowds. He made egg in a pan for me for breakfast. After our meal we will have some Jeremiah's from our freezer...chocolate soft serve with cafe latte ice with a topping of Naked Espresso Chocolate. Yum! It just doesn't get better than that.

Ruth, April in Paris was the tea...the May in Paris was the quiche, chocolate croissant and apricot pistachio amandine from the French bakery...and it tasted so, so good (as did the April in Parish tea).

Good morning and the best to everyone for a great Sunday (and Mother’s Day if you’re celebrating it). For many years today made me sad because I lost my mother when I was 31 years old and hadn’t yet become a mother. It made me aware of how challenging the day can be for many. I also have a dear friend that I pray for daily whose only child chooses no relationship with her. It’s just heartbreaking. I am grateful for all my blessings today. I will drink some of Marlicia’s Lemon Amaretto Cookies this morning.

Janet, I am so sorry you lost your mother at such a young age. I was blessed to have my mother until she was 85 years of age and I was 50. I miss her and my Dad...even that many years was not enough. Now it is just me, my hubby and my son. I won't see my son today as he lives a ways away, but we text daily and share puzzling and baseball. I am so grateful for my hubby, son and puppy. For anyone out there missing their mother, just know that your mother's fondest wish is for you to be happy...that is the greatest gift you can give her. Hugs to all.

Well, I had some concerns about the lunch hubby was preparing for me for Mother's Day as a steamer bag exploded in the microwave and a bit later the smoke detector went off. However, all was well and lunch was delicious. Best of all, hubby did not get angry with himself (which he does quite often).

My Cup in the CT PICS today is a cup I gifted my Mom circa 2015 ...10 years ago--from Snapfish. I gifted it after my Dad and his brother crossed over. The creator of the following blend is a genius! ;) I mixed up a cup and was highly impressed. Going to order my private version in case the two differ in the least detail. A little analysis... flavors in order... mango, spice, orange, pineapple, cinnamon. Fruity elements... apple pieces, rose hips, lemongrass, pineapple, orange peels, cranberries, blueberries. Spice elements... ginger root, cinnamon pieces, cloves, cardamom, red peppercorn, black peppercorn. I guess mine did look like Daydream… but still don’t want it and wish I could try Dreamberry since I don’t *really* need a big order right now, oh well… (I thought it was usually available to buy with points - but maybe they took it off during the special?) I’ll just keep working through my stash so I have less to pack when we move - lol. Had some White Peach instead that I made a pitcher of yesterday - Hot brewed and then chilled. :)

Hmm, I see Daydream listed here but Dreamberry on the packet. Searching posts, I take it this is Daydream in the wrong packaging. Plus, looking at my local copies of past pictures, this steep does look more like the redder color of Daydream from 2024 than the more orange/yellow of Dreamberry from 2024. The tea is OK but not really my thing; the wellness line of teas generally isn't.
