I was working yesterday like usual, our upstairs neighbors ran their dishwasher around 4:30 like usual, but it was louder and stranger than usual... then water came spewing into my apartment through the wall and dripping from the edge of the ceiling. 🙃 Their drain hose detached and nasty brown water was now making its way to Stephen's TV, sound system, and PS5. Thankfully everything was saved and the neighbors stopped their dishwasher when we knocked on their door. We had emergency maintenance come out and they were able to fix the hose very quickly. Now we just have to wait for someone to come patch up the holes in our wall and ceiling. 😮‍💨 It was very scary for us, but I'm so glad it wasn't worse.

Absolutely! I'm so thankful I can work from home and take care of my mom. She was really upset and not handling it very well. 😅

I am not a camomile fan but this is the best one I’ve ever had. If I were to buy it, I’d probably buy this one.

I was impressed by the chamomile when I first had it too. To see actual petals! Not something one encounters in grocery story tea bag dust!!! LOL - Besides, chamomile can be blended with decaf black tea and herbals (including honeybush and rooibos for added flavoring or dilution. I have a honey flavored oolong which chamomile tastes really good with. (I enjoy licking a squeeze of honey off my finger or an occasional drizzle of honey on peanut butter toast but don't actually care for any sweetener in teas. Having a honey FLAVORED tea is a nice option. I won't say it tastes exactly like the real thing, but it is a pleasant combo.)

Good morning tea friends. I’m sipping made up blends with Caramel and Cream and Chestnut teas as well as a homemade version of Bodleian Blend https://www.adagio.com/210425 which I really like. Chamomile isn’t a tea that I enjoy often, even at night. As I recall though, the Adagio chamomile is quite good. Enjoy your day everyone.

Henry was a good boy at the vet! Ares got a mousie for his birthday, and the vet gave Henry a plastic spring (his favorite toy) for being such a good boy.

We were able to get out for our usual 1-1/2 mile walk (finally). It was good to get these old bones moving. It is sunny here today...just lovely after all the rain and cold. It should be gradually warming up now so we should be able to get back to business as usual. It feels good to sit in my chair and not have a blanket over me to keep warm! My hands even feel warm...hurray!

My dad has really taken to heart that he doesn't have much time left in this life after his stage 4 cancer diagnosis. He and mom talked over the finances today to equip her to take over. My brother wants my dad's military service to be recognized-- Vietnam vet & a whole career from his teen years to retirement-- so has talked with a friend who arranges memorials and/or funerals for veterans to get things lined up when the time comes. I went to my early morning shift then napped so learned what the rest of the family had been up to after the fact. It's early days yet so my dad is aware that he might feel angry or depressed or scared or all of the above as time goes by. Right now he's sobered but energized and committed to loving the family to the end. I do love my papa!!! <3

i'm so sorry you and your family have to experience Cancer. Went through it with Mom and myself. He might surprise all of you and outlive his diagnosis by a long time. So comfort him when he's angry, love him when he's scared, and most of all celebrate every moment you have left with him.

Good evening! I’m drinking a non-Adagio tea right now (heresy!): Buckingham Palace Earl… it makes me think of an Earl Grey… but with no bergamot. It’s got Black Tea, Green Tea, Jasmine, and Cornflower Petals. It has kept me company while I’ve been working on my book journal, and listening to an audiobook of the unabridged “Les Miserables” as a desperate effort to make it out of the infamous Waterloo side-quest. I thus, on this day, against all odds, have escaped Waterloo. I have made contact with Jean Valjean again after a grueling 60 pages since we last met. All is well… for me, not the characters… the book is called Les Miserables… things are not *going* to be well for them unless it is in order to set them up for something terrible on the horizon. The audiobook translation is weird, though. At one point the audiobook says that “for a quarter of an hour, she felt her heart leaping in her bosom like a big snowflake.” (what?) My actual book translated the original French as saying: “ but for more than a quarter of an hour, she felt her heart leaping into her throat like a great ball.” Hoopla’s audiobook (in spite of its questionable translation into English) having got me through Waterloo, I have now returned to reading my physical book, where snowflakes do not leap into the bosoms of abused eight-year-old girls.

Chamomile is not my favorite.

It was sunny for a bit today but at least we had no rain and better temperatures (above freezing) for cookie warehouse today. Busy but successful day.

It’s been a long day, friends, and it feels good to sit in the recliner and put my feet up. I have had 2 great tea days. Yesterday I enjoyed a cup of Chocolate Truffle which is always delicious. Today I started the day with a cup of Brigadoon which is always a great breakfast tea. After my lunch I had a cup of Henry Albero which is an all time favorite of mine. It feels like a cozy, warm hug that always makes me feel special. I hope everyone has had enjoyable cups of some of their favorite teas too. Good night, speed tight! 🤗
