It's a beautiful end to a day that I wish could have lasted longer. Both my favorite NFL teams won, Yay Buffalo Bills, yay Washington Commanders. Tea with my SIL, chat time and learning more about Adagio and the page information. Sampling some great tea. Homemade soup makes winter days feel warm. I am waiting for my raging wood stove to settle down so I can rest my head for the night. Sleep well CT.It truly was a lovely day.

I made a 4-tea black blend this morning. Yum! Only 3 of the teas are Adagio offerings. The fourth was a Kenyan tea. I do wish all the great teas could be purchased from one place. ;) Spoiled much? I am!!! :)

Yes. 😅 Methylprednisolone to be exact, which is prednisone, but stronger and faster-acting supposedly. They only gave me 4mg so I'm not sure why it's hitting me so hard. 🤣

Maybe.... I love spice (cinnamon, clove cardamon) but not spice (black pepper and chili peppers) but oat milk may tame it a bit, if I get brave I will try too, after you let me know your results. I ended up not drinking this one last time, after two sips

I almost said no to this blend but then I left it to the chilled room air and as it got cooler it was acceptable. I added some creamer then it was good to go.

Good morning! All right, question for you tea latte makers. When you make your lattes, do you add the tea to the frothed milk or the milk to the tea?

For a latte I froth my oatmilk (heat in a pan and whisk) for a tea with cream, I just add milk :)

There are few Adagio and Masters teas I haven't tried. So, for Christmas, I had requested and received some tea samplers offered by other companies. I've found some keepers! As much as I like Adagio and so many of its teas, no one company has a monopoly on great sips. In some cases, I'll drink the new ones on their own but I'll create combos with Adagio teas too. To quote my older nephew when he was younger, "I like new and exciting." LOL

Good morning fellow Adagians. Today’s tea is one spicy chai. I broke open the cardamom pods because I love the taste of cardamom but I don’t think I can taste any. The pepper spice is predominant in this. I’m glad to have it in my stash for every now and then, but I’m looking forward to something else next. Good morning, tea friends. Our beloved Laddie was disoriented this morning when we got up and did not seem to be able to see. Hubby and I were frantic with worry. I held Laddie on my lap for a good while and he would look in every direction, turning his head a bit constantly. He is okay now. This has never happened before. I don't know if he was having a senior moment that passed or what. We were going to take him to see his vet but since he is doing fine now we will wait until his upcoming appointment the first week in February. It was so upsetting...I had tears streaming down my face and could not talk to my hubby as my throat was closing. He ate his breakfast as usual and went out to do his business as usual and is having no lingering problems. Have any of you ever had anything similar happen with one of your fur babies?

Twyla, thank you so much. He has been fine the rest of the morning, although he has been sleeping a lot. However, he has been sleeping a lot more now that he is getting older so that is nothing unusual. He is currently sleeping on my lap. Even though I need to get up to wash dishes I am not going to do so until he gets up on his own. I was so scared for him this morning. He is such a big part of our life and we love him so much. Such a funny little fellow.

Paula, our vet is not in until Wednesday but the assistant of another vet at the same facility called us and we told her all the details. She is going to discuss Laddie's situation with the other vet and will get back with us as to what we should do.

Mary, our one dog used to do that after waking suddenly from a deep dream. Often it took him time to focus back on us. We used to just call out his name, almost song like and peaceful until we got his attention. Most times he would slightly sigh and lay there for about 10 minutes, then he'd hit the water bowl hard drinking a lot. Maybe too warm? I never knew.

Good morning, my day has started with some excitement. I returned from a short grocery trip, and upon putting my car in park on my drive I started sliding downhill! Good afternoon, friends. I’m afraid today’s tea is not in my stash because I just don’t care for it. I wasn’t able to drink one cup when I tried it the last time it was in a CT box. I have thought about it since and have wondered if it would work as a seasoning when cooking chicken. Has anyone tried that? If so, did you steep the tea. Discard the leaves, and then add it to the pot or pan?

Jan, I brine my chicken with the tea for overnight. To do that, you need a lot of salt and other brining ingredients. but in that instance, I would brew the tea and let it chill so you don't actually start cooking the chicken in hot liquid. However, I do season without brewing too. Grind it up and use it as a dry ingredient in the breadcrumbs if you intend to bread it.

This afternoon I thoroughly enjoyed a cup of Julie’s Saint Nicholas Day. Oh my goodness but the flavors are all expertly blended. I love the chocolate in it which is delicious without covering up the other flavors. If you haven’t tried it, I strongly recommend it. It’s on my list of teas to keep in stock always - that’s how highly I recommend it!
