I received a small package of this beautiful chai as a gift, and I started to panic as soon as I made my 2nd cup--I had to order a large package to ensure I wouldn't run out. The lemongrass and other spices make a beautiful combination. I'm hooked on this tea.

I was little skeptical of this Thai Chai because I like to keep it traditional with Masala. But I love Thai foods like lemongrass soup and coconut pad thais and curries, so I figured I’d try it. Plus, Adagio’s lemongrass and ginger blend is one of my favorite herbals.
The scent is very strong right out of the bag - probably because of the “natural coconut flavoring.” It also seems like the ratio of actual black tea leaves to the other spices is low. I brewed for 5 minutes as suggested on the package, tasted it plain first, then added a splash of milk as you do with chai. I feel like the flavor was much more mellow than the scent, and I felt like the cinnamon and ginger were still really forward compared to the coconut or lemongrass. I would have preferred a little more balance, and I still like Masala better. But this is a fun change.
Next time, I’ll go the traditional route and overbrew it for around 10 minutes, then sweeten it with a little sugar.
A really interesting twist on a traditional chai... the lemongrass can be a bit overpowering if you re not used to it, but the coconut flavor was very mild.
It was good, not amazing like I was hoping for. I was trying to create a drink that has this type of base.
Like most Adagio chais, this is a good one. I was hoping for something that was more different to their normal chai. For me, this was too similar to want to have both. It was great though and I may order it sometime.

The smell is strong and invigorating, but I feel like the flavor isn't as strong. Even with a long steep, I didn't get the flavor payoff that I'd liked. Still very delicious nonetheless!

I wanted to like this, but the amount of cinnamon was just WAY too much for me. I couldn't really taste any other ingredients that appealed to me- just cinnamon. Ended up giving this to a friend.

A unique tea quite different than any I've tasted before. The coconut isn't overpowering, so even someone like me who passes on coconut-flavored treats finds this tea perfectly agreeable. The most prominent flavor is the lemongrass, with the coconut offering a mild, mellow, smooth complement. Best served with 2 heaping spoonfuls per cup! I also love that it's highly caffeinated (perfect for early mornings) without the black tea taste that comes with most high-caffeine beverages.
This is my favorite tea of all time! Be sure to let it steep long enough (maybe longer than it says) and to get it concentrated enough so that you can add plenty of milk, and then it tastes just like the chai you get at the end of Indian buffet lunch! The lemongrass really makes it.
I've only recently discovered the joy of chai, and this was an interesting change from the masala.
I think I'd love this more if it had a tad more coconut flavor, being a Thai chai afterall. But it's still very good.

This one is delicious and a little bit of cream changes it, mellows out the stronger flavors from the lemongrass. I will say that it has a bit of a 'cleaner' smell to it that was a little worrisome, but I got past it.

I m a huge Chai tea fan and this is my all-time favorite. One of the only teas from Adagio I am in constant supply of. The lemongrass gives it a zing you never knew you always wanted in a Chai tea.
A very light, creamy and inviting chai. It is very unique with te coconut and the lemongrass gives it a little zing. I drank this plain, but will definitely have to try this with some coconut milk. =)

I tried this tea this morning, and it was excellent on both first and second steeping. The flavors were more blended the first time around—the cinnamon predominated the second. I really like it with cream!
This is a tea that taste amazing regardless of how long you brew it...and it is yummy hot or cold!!

This is a good chai. Milder in flavor than some chai's that knock you down with spice. It definitely has a more coconut/lemongrass flavor so if you aren't looking for that, don't go here. I enjoy it as a nice change up to my usual Earl Grey Moonlight.

I drank exactly 1 cup of this witches brew. Sharp, sour, strident, like drinking citrus perfume. I threw the rest into compost. So bad, I couldn t even pass it on to others.
This is a really good, sweeter tasting tea. It's not as spicy as a chai and is smoother. Not real strong on flavor.
This is a pretty decent Chai tea, but the lemongrass is very strong which distracts from the chai spices.

This is a personal favorite. Good Chai flavor, with lots of spices, but also a nice coconut undertone.
I love the different spices in this tea but prefer a stronger tea base. Thus I gravitated to the Thai tea instead. When I ran out of that and my local store was out of stock, the salesperson suggested I get the Thai Chai and mix it with the Ceylon Sonata. I use a heaping teaspoon of the Thai Chai and a regular teaspoon of the Ceyln Sonata. This is a perfect blend for me; I actually prefer this combination to the Thai tea alone. Either way, I also like to add a couple of tablespoons of frozen vanilla bean coconut milk to add a creamy taste!
I didn t think this had enough black tea flavor. My husband liked it. You could taste the lemongrass, which I liked.
This tea strongly reminds me of gingerbread, but with a bit of a sweet twist. It's nice to enjoy on a warm summer afternoon.
