Where do I even start? The lemongrass and hint of coconut is strong but not overpowering. A delightful tea that has been soothing and uplifting me during cold and allergy season. This will be a staple moving foreward.
Creamy coconut and playfully floral lemongrass highlight this succulent chai blend. Let the aroma draw you in...

Delicious! A nice light, more summery chai. It will definitely be a staple in my rotation!
Smooth and delicious, as ive stated in other reviews the chais are all very good. This one is one i surprise my guests with when they ask for chai
A more mild chai. You can definitely taste the coconut notes but the cinnamon is more muted. I don't typically add any sweetener as the coconut gives it just enough.
Loved the flavor. Nice blend. Great on a winter day
This is hands down my favorite chai! The coconut really gives it a smooth cream finish along with milk
I thought I was going to love this, but apparently I hate lemon grass. I’m sorry
One of my favorite go-to teas all year round. The Thai flavors are a nice addition to the typical chai spices, and the tea is flavorful without being overpowered by that chai spice. It is beautiful with the slivers of coconut, but the coconut doesn't overwhelm. I drink most teas black, but I think this would be wonderful with a little coconut milk or creamer. A staple in my tea pantry!
Nice spice, but adequately mellow enough for me to enjoy anytime I don't mind a little caffeine in my day. I like to blend this 1:2 with earl grey moonlight for something closer to the milk tea taste I yearn for, but without having to go out of the house for it.
SPICY! in a delicious way. The ginger stands out in this one. It is really complemented by all of the other flavors. I wish I would have gotten more than a sample. I could see it being yummy iced as well.
Pretty decent chai today. It's not my favorite of Adagio's chai selections, but this one was still pretty good. I found it to be mostly cinnamon and ginger forward. Sometimes CT sample size can affect the ingredient density per pack, but mine seemed coconut light in flavor even if it did bring that nice texture shift it often brings with it. Lemongrass was present, but I would have liked it increased just a little bit for my personal preference. All together a decent chai I drank hot and nothing added and accidentally let mine steep too long, but the spices covered any bitterness that may have been there. 212° 8 min.
this is a lighter Chai, that I prefer cold brewed... more than as a hot tea option. It's a summery staple for me.
The coconut was the star of the show in my cup this morning, the lemongrass was there, but much less pronounced. This was not as spicy as most other chai blends I have tried, but is nice to mix things up now and again!
I really enjoyed this tea. I made it as a chai latte, with milk and honey. I didn't taste the coconut and lemongrass strongly, but I really liked the spice blend.
CommuniTEA sample: 5 min @ 195 F. This Chai blend is very strong in ginger, and I love that! The coconut adds a nice creaminess as well, as well as the tiniest hint of sweetness. I did notice the lemongrass, which I think brought out some freshness, and some of the brighter aspects I might expect out of a Ceylon base. Overall, I really enjoyed the first cup! I felt like everything was noticeable and present. I added a little bit of coconut cream to it as well, and that made it even smoother and sweeter! My second cup unfortunately was much weaker, I was hoping for something similarly flavorful, but the ginger was really the only thing that I could taste. It wasn't bad, but I do wish it were stronger.
As usual (for me) with chais, the chai spices were definitely in the forefront, but there were some nice background notes of lemongrass and coconut.
Updated - I hadn't had this one in a while, and ordered some recently - It's as delicious as ever! Winter is long, cold and snowy where I live so I enjoy having a more tropical take on a chai in my rotation.
8/5/21 - I first tried this as part of a free week of CommuniTEA early last year, and I loved it from the get go! The nutty creaminess of the coconut and the brightness of the lemongrass work well together to make a refreshing but warming drink! I'm partial to coconut and lemongrass to begin with, plus I like how this blend doesn't have cloves. I liked this one best with honey, and liked it equally with or without vanilla almond milk or other creamer. Nice chilled, too! Will order again!
I really enjoyed this! The coconut was rather faint (as I've come to expect from Adagio, to be fair) but it was still present enough to add a great smoothness to the flavor that complimented the chai well. I don't normally think of coconut or lemongrass for a chai, and the scent of the blend pre-brewing made me hesitate, but my doubts were proven wrong after my first sip. Smooth, sweet, and a delicious amount of spice.
Great taste with a little bit of spice. Anyone who loves chai tea must try
A decent enough tea, but not quite heavy enough emphasis on the chai part of the name for my personal tastes, instead being very coconut-forward.
The tea is the very flavor of the oceania world. Would be better with some cinnamon flavored cream instead of French vanilla.
Sept 2025 update -- bumping it up to 4 stars, it's growing on me. Original review -- A bit too much going on with all the flavors. Lemongrass seems to dominate, could be because I don't expect it in a chai.
This tea has a really complex flavor! I think it's the best chai they have. The coconut flavor is subtle under all the other spices, but it adds a really nice note of creaminess to the flavor
Definitely get coconut and lemon grass notes. I really enjoy this tea, but took away a star because I personally prefer more spice, which I plan on adding myself to future cups.
Bright and fresh, really liked this tea and it made a good base for milk tea and bubble teas. Well balanced.
I was expecting to love thai chai as J love everything thai and I love everything chai… but this tea didn’t hit the spot for me. I can’t put my finger on - I think it may have to do with me preferring chai tea made with the spice elements only - and not with black or white tea.
This combo of Thai tea and Chai is everything I want in a drink. Spicy and sweet it’s perfect hot or cold
Delicious mix of spice and mellow coconut flavor. It's an interesting twist on chai that pairs nicely with a little sugar and milk.
This is my favorite chai out of all the other chais in this site. I could drink this all day hot, iced and sometimes I’ll throw a shot of expresso in for a dirty chai.
I love this tea. One of my favorites. I drink it on its own and use it to make boba tea.
This was a delicious find. Put a dash cream or milk of your choice this tea has an amazing flavor profile and aroma.
Best chai hands down. I put in a little cream and some coconut syrup and it is delicious hot or iced. Every time I make an order I get another three oz. :) Update for 2025 - I still absolutely love this tea iced or hot!
I’m a huge fan of the Thai tea black tea from adagio, so decided to try this one. A very pleasant tea!
Thai Chai has become one of my favorite cups of chai. I feel it has a more balanced spice flavor over traditional masala chai
One of my favorite teas, it has the spices you'd expect from chai but blended into deliciously lemon-grassy and fragrant tea blend. It's a very unique profile and adventurous drinkers will enjoy it! I also love that it's not a heavy chai even though the base is still black tea. Excellent with just sweetner or cream and sweetner.
Love this tropical take on a traditional chai. It’s not too spicy
This tea is really good. Its pretty similar to your standard coffee shop Chai tea. It is full flavored which in my opinion is a good thing.
I have never liked chai but recently thought to give it another try. I purchased several different blends and this is my favorite. I keep ordering it
Nice spice, but too much lemon grass, which overpowers other spices.
i LOVE this tea!!! Really good for the mornings. Good flavor!
Too heavy on the coonut for my taste, but was a lovely, low clove chai. If you enjoy chai teas that are less spicy and smoother with hints of vanilla, this is right for you.
This tea is very forgiving. Forgot about it and let it steep for about 10 minutes, possibly more, poured some off into another cup, added milk, and left it again for who knows how long. It was wonderful, not bitter at all. I especially liked it with milk. Lots of coconut, cardamon, and cinnamon flavors. I bet this would be amazing served iced with cream and a sprinkle of nutmeg and cinnamon on top.
I was curious as to how different this would be to the normal Thai tea, and it does have a hint of spiciness that isn’t in the original taste profile, but overall I think that either tea is a good choice.
I love all the blended flavors in this one, and it's definitely unique. I don't usually like lemongrass, but it didn't stand out in a bad way, so it was fine for me! It probably doesn't need sweetener, but I like it with a little added, and with some milk of course.
I don’t normally live a spicy chai and this one with its light spices and the coconut I found to be very enjoyable. I’d like to try it as a latte.
First time trying Thai chai, definitely didn’t disappoint , I loved the mix of strong flavors into this fragrant nice tea
This tea is delightful!! I have just added this to a subscription. I love the addition of the coconut and lemongrass. These flavors brightens up the chai and dance across the palate. I go through a pound a month!!. I would love love a decaf version of this tea.
I go back and forth between this and the Masala Chai, and I love them both, depending on my mood at the time.
Cinnamon, spice, and everything nice. Good as is, but adding some coconut sugar and coconut milk makes it even better.
It is hard to go wrong with chai. What makes this 'thai chai' is the addition of coconut and lemongrass to what is otherwise a standard chair blend. To kick things up, try the concoction with the addition of coconut milk or try brewing the tea in coconut water. Sweeten to taste with agave syrup.
