Rooibos Vanilla Chai Customer Reviews

This tea comes right out of the gate with a beautiful earthy and strong chai smell. It smells like the best part of Christmas but with a touch of attitude. I don't want to use the word spicy but this tea definitely has some sass. All of that attitude carries over to, surprisingly, the after taste. The initial taste has a very strong rooibas flavor but the overall taste is really lacking any distinguishable vanilla flavor.

I added a splash of milk (just plain milk, nothing fancy) to see how that changes the flavor. It really made the initial flavor linger longer before the spicy, chai after taste starts to peak through.

Next time, I'll add some of the decaf vanilla tea (also from Adagio) to it to see how that changes the flavor.

After finishing the full cup of tea, I have to say this isn't my favorite. The spice lingers and builds a little more than I would like. I don't think I'll reorder this tea any time soon.

This tea has helped me realize that I don't like chai tea so take my review with that in mind. 😊👍

I got this as a sample for my mother so she could have tea with me in the afternoon without worrying about caffeine keeping her up and she says she says it's fantastic. I guess that means we're getting the regular non-sample size next time.

Never was a fan of chai but this has much less of a bit to it

Very mellow. I blended it with raspberry patch to experiment and it toned down the tanginess. On its own, it's quite calming.

This is a wonder full smooth chai tea. I like to put a little coconut milk in it too!

The woody rooibos is a beautiful compliment to the spices, and the vanilla smooths it all out.

It's really nice overall. Not my fave chai (masala and chocolate have that crown) but its a solid rooibos and the vanilla surely comes through.

Another great decaf tea. I like to add milk and sugar to this one too. It has great flavor and is a nice desert tea.

Rooibos with two key ingredients - chai is a brilliant addition to a really good base.

I really enjoy this one and have been mixing it with other Chais as well for an extra boost of flavor.

My new favorite evening tea. I tend to steep it longer than recommended, but have not experienced any bitterness. Naturally sweet on the nose, and palate then mildly spiced on the finish

I LOVE this. So versatile, and the spicy kick is pretty mild. A great nighttime tea when you want something that's not just straight sweetness.

One of my favorites. Mellow and spicy at the same time.

This tea has some spunk to it. I like the way the Chai and vanilla work together, neither is too strong, but they combine to make one knockout cup of tea.

I love this tea. Hot or iced this one is a personal favorite.

Great with milk (I like using almond milk!) added as well! Nice to have the chai flavor without the caffeine.

I love that this tea doesn't have caffeine! I might even like it better than the chais with black tea. Truly delicious.

Okay, not great. I ve tried other brands versions of this flavor and liked them better. While it was nice that the vanilla wasn t overpowering, the chai was much spicier than I m used to. It was just too much for me. Although my boyfriend said chai is supposed to be that spicy, he wouldn t order this again, either.

Great taste. I mix it with Irish Breakfast tea for a little caffeine. Some of the pieces are so mall they fall through my filter, but that's OK.

This chai has a mild flavor, don’t expect “Masala Chai” here . But if you are looking for a caffeine free treat , give this one a try. Sometimes I add a bit of rock sugar or honey.

Probably one of my favorite chais, right next to the chocolate one. Neither is above because the two deliver different experiences. chocolate is creamy rich while this is loaded with flavor and spice. It's warm, smooth, but has a bit of a kick that I just really like.

I hadn't heard of Rooibos until I started drinking teas and was looking for new ones that I could drink late at night. This Rooibos is reminsant of a masala chai, which I'm sure is the point.

This was a nice tea. I was hoping it would have more of a vanilla taste to it.

Quite good, not my absolute favorite of Adagios chai but I would order again.

It was a lovely cup of tea, sweet but not overpoweringly so, and refreshingly spicy.

This is probably my favorite tea of all time. It's got a bit of its own sweetness from the rooibos and vanilla, and a warm, aromatic flavor from the spices. I've tried it with a splash of milk and without, and I like it both ways.

Love this! I was worried it would be a bit too fake-vanilla flavor but it balanced very nicely with the chai spices.

After trying several caffeine-free chais from Adagio, this is probably my favorite. It's very smooth and well-balanced, flavorful but not too spicy. It's very drinkable, a good choice if you want a chai that doesn't need milk or sweetener.

Warm and inviting. Great evening tea when you're not looking for something caffeinated, but want something with a more substantial taste.

This tea is so good! The flavor is so rich and I like the vanilla flavor with the chai.

Lovely, sweet herbal blend that has all the warm comfort of a cup of chai without the caffeine. Great with honey and milk or by itself.

Oooh baby will this tea make your taste buds pop! So many flavors in each sip. I personally don't steep it too long, recommends 7-10 mins, I usually do 5 minutes.

A nice caffeine-free alternative to chai with black tea, perfect for after dinner. It's definitely more mellow than a traditional chai: it doesn't have the burst of pepper, and the vanilla rounds out the flavours. I was surprised by the addition of orange peels, but they work well with this tea.
