As with the Masala Chai, the tea to spice ratio is not well-balanced with too little tea and too much spice, the result is overpowering and bitter. That's readily solved - I take a large pinch of the Raja and add it to 2 teaspoons of my Formosa Oolong (I do this with the Masala as well, but add it to Assam). The addition of cocoa nibs and chicory is a nice touch, bringing a hint of dark flavor (coffee-chocolate). A nice kick-start to my day.

I blended this tea with the Samurai mate and the Masala Mate and it is perfect.
Solid chai flavor profile, but the spice and oolong mix did not blend well for me. Too spicy and just overall not the flavor I was looking for.
I tried several cinnamon teas and the Raja Oolong Chai was my favorite. The mixture was well thought out and the flavor was consistent from the first sip to the last. Of all the cinnamon teas I tried, I will be re-purchasing this tea. Finally, I like the caffeine level, it provides a good boost.
If you like cinnamon this will make you happy...it doesn't taste like chai but more like a cinnamon rich Harvest type tea. I like it but not what I expected...

Very spicy and delicious. I had this as I have every chai I try, as a latte. The cinnamon flavor stands out the most for me.

I like a good cup of chai, but have had problems finding a good one on this site. Raja was no exception. Everything seems fine on first sip, but when the chicory hits on the backend, it gets too bitter. Not a fan.

This tea is so insanely strong. Even just the smell, it hits you like a brick. If you enjoy super strong, kinda spicy tea you will enjoy this. It was much too strong for me.

This one I love that it's unique because of the Oolong base for a Chai. I'd say this has a sweet cinnamon presence the most, like 'Big Red Gum' flavour. Will be getting more of this.
This chai felt very nice going down, and the flavours present were top-tier. My only problem was with how sweet the tea was. It was sweeter than I had expected, and a bit too sweet for my tastes. Perfect for my sister's, however!
Very nice spiced tea to drink with sugar and milk, or on its own. An interesting spin on traditional chai with a black tea base.
This tastes more like the Trader Joe's harvest blend than a true chai. That could be my fault, maybe I didn't read the description carefully enough :-/
I added a tsp-equivalent of sweetener per cup, and it was the most delicious cinnamon tea I've ever had! It doesn't taste quite like a traditional chai, though I'll definitely buy it again.
I used 2 tsp/cup as recommended. Resteeping once reduced the flavor a lot, but it was still OK.
Fine chai blend but not that memorable as some other blends.
I combine this with the Samurai Mate to recreate my favorite tea from a former tea store. I mix it 1-to-1 to create a spicy yet fruity tea blend. Perfect to start the day.
I've only had this together with the Samurai Mate (50/50 mix) but together they are fantastic. Not exactly the same as Teavana's Maharaja Chai Oolong / Samurai Chai Mate but very similar.
This is a very nice, smooth tea to drink on a cold day. It is very soothing.

Excellent Chai for those looking for heavy spice. I'm not sure which I prefer between this and Masala Chai. I'd argue this has a bit more cinnamon flavor; whereas, the Masala is more traditional.
I have looked for a replacement for Teavana blend Maharaja / Samurai Chai and the blend of Raja Oolong and Samurai is very close.
Bold! Full of flavor, a little bit of honey and this is GREAT for a cold winter morning or in front of a fire anytime of year!

Just ordered more of this chia tea. It is my husbands absolutely favorite chia tea. Has a sweet taste to it, very satisfying.
For my tastes, this one is overwhelmingly cinnamon-flavored on its own but it makes a great addition to a cup of Masala Chai.

Update 27/04/2019: Finally figures out the right combination the way Teavana used to mix their Raja & Samurai teas & it's EXCELLENT!!! (If you mix this one right with the Samurai Matte you very close to what you got from Teavana. Now I can still enjoy it as a latte.)
Two scoops of this, and 1 of Raja Oolong Chai and 2 of Masala Chai make a good replacement for teavana maharaja chai oolong samurai chai mate
Love the spices in this chai, tastes great with a splash of cream (and sometimes a pinch of sugar).
