A lovely, flavorful blend. Even if I feel I don't do it the justice it deserves (by using hot milk and LOTS of sugar), it's still lovely. I love masala chai as a dessert replacement!
'Masala' means 'blend of spices' and 'chai' is simply 'tea.' Inviting fragrance, invigorating flavor, warm finish.

A lovely, flavorful blend. Even if I feel I don't do it the justice it deserves (by using hot milk and LOTS of sugar), it's still lovely. I love masala chai as a dessert replacement!
This was the first tea I have bought from Adagio in bulk. I ordered the 16 oz. bag not realizing just how much tea 16 oz. can be! They sent me a grocery bag full of tea. It does get used up fairly fast though, since it recommends using 2 tsp. per cup. Try not to oversteep it, because if you do, it becomes quite astringent.
I do really like this chai. It has a fairly heavy flavor of cloves. I don't think this is as spicy as some others (Tazo, for example). Great with a little sugar!
I brew chai in my crock pot with the same spices. This is the closest I've found to that. Great for when I don't want to brew a jug of it.
The flavor is good. I think the only drawback is the size of the pieces. They are teeny tiny so the tea tends to have a lot of sediment and it is hard to clean out my brewer.
Tried it along with the Spiced Apple. Was tough between the two. Ultimately SA won out but this is a really good straight ahead chai.
A wonderfully aromatic spiced tea. A joy to drink (a welcome change from the caffeine habit)!
This Chai was one of the better ones i have had...and I am confident most who try it would agree. Just add your favorite sweetener(honey is perfect) and a bit of milk to cool it off.
A nice well-rounded chai-style tea. Tastes good at all hours
Very, very good masala chai. I just wish that it was a little bit spicier. It tastes the best when boiled with a one part milk, one part water combination. Add some sugar and it's just as good as any Indian restaurant.
This is an excellent chai. Got some for my sister, who is a chai expert, for her birthday. She had never heard of Adagio.com, but I think she might be converted!
Pretty strong. Guess you have to like chai tea a little more than I to enjoy it.
I love this chai. It has a nice blend, maybe a little heavy on the clove. I add a little sugar and milk to mine.
This is one of the best loose-leaf chai teas I have ever had!
The masala chai is very soothing for sore throats and goes perfectly with either a teaspoon of honey or a bit of milk. Surprisingly tastes better the more it steeps.
It is great with some Vanilla Soy Milk! Jamba Chai!
Nope not my cup of tea ... lol, even with sugar and cream
Smells strong of cinnamon before you steep, but comes out tasting great, closest I have come to a similar chai since I was in India last. I brewed mine in boiling milk with 2 tsp of sugar per cup of milk, quite delicious
A very nice chai. Spicy and zesty in all the right places. This is one I'd likely buy again. :)
A tasty chai tea. Will most likely be ordering this again though it was not one that immediately demanded to be added to my repurchase list.
A good, classic chai tea that really satisfies any craving for this tea.
This is a great chai. Good to mix with milk and honey for a real authentic Indian flavor sensation.
This is a stronger flavor and smells great. My team kept coming into my office so they could smell the great aroma.
Perfection. Spicy good perfection. I enjoy this tea just as brewed - it has the perfect balance of spices. Smells wonderful dry or brewed. My only complaint is that it takes 2 teaspoons of tea to make a cup compared to 1 teaspoon for most teas so I will go through it twice as quickly!
This tea is my favorite so far! I love the cinnamon flavor and the smell is amazing.
A stronger Chai than I'm used to drinking but so lovely in smell.
Very good, ginger is a bit overwhelming otherwise I would have rated it great.
I think this is a very good chai ,it had a lot of spice notes , but not overwhelming at all . Make a good latte in the afternoon
A little stronger in the spices than the tea from what I am used to so I sometimes mix it with another black tea to balance to my liking, but this is a good masala chai even by itself.
Maybe I got a weak batch, but I found this tea to be rather unimpressive. But, I didn't hate it.
This tea is spicy and warm. The cinnamon hums a little with heat I loved this chai it reminds me of the holidays all year round!
I bought the sample bag...for now...I'm going to buy the big bag on my next order. First off, I love the smell before even brewing a pot. I love the smell when the pot is brewing
This is a good chai tea, if that is what you are looking for. Pretty much exactly what you would expect.
This was a traditional chai, very good with milk and sugar
This is one of our favorite teas. I love the spicy element and it's very flavorful and well rounded.
I really liked the masala chai. By adding a little milk and some splenda it was a much better cup than what you would pay for at scortchbucks. Would buy again.
This is the best chai ever! I brew it for about 8 minutes and then add condensed milk. I've tried adding creme, or milk and sugar, but condensed milk works best with this tea. I would recommend at least trying this!
A nice strong chai. It comes closer to brewed spice tea (whole spices boiled in the water, not steeped with the tea) than any packaged chai blend I have had.
This is super excellent. I've only had it neat, but at some point I'm going to brew this up the traditional way. Highly recommended. This is one of the best chai's I've ever had.
Just got it from Adagio, makes an awesome chai latte!
I love this tea. I have tried the Chocolate Chai as well, but the Masala Chai is delicious. I especially like it served hot with a little soy milk, and sugar.
I've really enjoyed this tea as a brand new tea enthusiast. great spice and flavor.
The blend of spices in this chai is pitch-perfect. I know you're supposed to make chai with milk but frankly I can't bring myself to ruin this delightful tea that way. I've tasted several other masala chai blends but none have been half as good as this one.
The tea smelled wonderful and rich when I opened the package. The taste is a little less full-bodied than the smell but it's still good. This chai is little bit on the spicy side, so I'll definitely make it with hot soy milk next time.
I just drank my first cup of adagio chai and it is wonderful. I have tried several other chai's , some of which cost quite a bit more. This is by far my favorite chai! Thank you this made my day!
This really only tastes good when made via the stovetop method with milk and sugar. It is nicely spiced and a very nice dessert when done this way!
Smells delicious. Had a bit of trouble brewing at first though. Didn't really like the way it turned out by following the instructions on the bag.
I found it to be best to use 1.5x the suggested amount of tea, brewing for 4-5 min in 2/3 the water suggested.
Then adding milk for the last third and brewing for 5 more mins.
So yummy! I love a good chai tea latte, and using this to make it on my own is so much cheaper than buying one from a coffee shop. Highly recommend!
Awesome kind of 'normal' chai. This tea simply tastes like a really good version of what you can get at a coffee shop. Don't forget to use lots of milk and some honey or sugar.
This tea was good. The flavor was tasteful and full bodied.
