I love this tea with a little milk and agavae nectar in the morning to wake me up. I have also mixed it with vanilla chai roobios with good results.
'Masala' means 'blend of spices' and 'chai' is simply 'tea.' Inviting fragrance, invigorating flavor, warm finish.

I love this tea with a little milk and agavae nectar in the morning to wake me up. I have also mixed it with vanilla chai roobios with good results.
This is the perfect combination of spices for me.
Can't really go wrong with a chai, but this one is especially good, tons of spice, while still being able to clearly taste the tea.
Of all the chai I've tried this is definitely my favorite. This is the tea I make when I want to drink something sweet and milky.
Surprisingly not very strong. The smell is extremely potent but the spices come through more as an aftertaste.
Like many of the other reviews on adagio, I agree this tea is at it's best boiled with milk and sweetener.
That said, this is also my daily drinker at work and I don't have access to a pot to boil it in. Our water dispenser here tops out at 196f, so I make due with steeping two table-spoons for 7minutes in my glass mug (also from adagio).
This works well and gives a spicy lift to my afternoon. Overall I will deffinitly be buying this tea again, and whether this is your first chai or your 100th, you should buy it too!
I am big fan of spicy teas, Masala probably takes first place here
well balanced, i added a bit of french vanilla creamer to it and it took it to the next level. utterly delicious
This is a really delicious chai tea. My only problem with it is that it takes so long to brew. When I'm in a hurry I don't have time to wait 8 minutes to drink my tea...
Chai isn't really my favorite, but I mainly got this for my Mom who loves chai. She thinks it's pretty good, though she prefers making her own still.
A decent chai, but not nearly as spicy as I would like. I usually end up adding my own spices to this to make it stronger. I think I might actually be better off just ordering a black base and spicing it up on my own.
The clove is strong in this one - and that makes it perfect for me. I usually brew it for five minutes, then add two spoonfuls of sugar and a good amount of milk. Never going back to the pre-made mixes again!
Spicy and rich. I like an extra spicy Chai so I use 2.5 tablespoons per cup with a little splash of cream. Delicious.
Sooooo good! I love the strong clove flavor. The spiciness of this tea works especially well with a little coconut milk or half-and-half.
I love this tea. I was kind of reluctant to try it but the reviews were good so I gave it a shot. I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor. Unfortunately, because I have problems with dairy I can't always add milk, but the tea itself is fine by itself most times. Whenever I feel my stomach wont be upset I sneak in a bit of milk. The taste is worth the risk.
I really like chai tea, and this one doesn't disappoint! Chai-licious!
Excellent chai! I really like the blend of this one, and it mixes well with other chais too if I want a bit more oomph to something else. Lovely with cream and sugar.
This is a dry spice tea. There's no fruit or vanilla to calm it down and make it sweeter (other than the cream/sugar/honey I added, of course). Very intense ginger and cloves, nice and strong. I like it a lot.
I was a little worried that this one would be too spicy - even though the description assured me that it wasn't - but I need not have feared. The tea is mild enough not to send my stomach into knots, but flavorful enough to be really enjoyable. If you generally avoid spicy teas because they don't agree with your stomach, then this might be a good one for you. You'll get the taste without the complications.
The last time I had chai was in New Delhi, so you can imagine I was reserved in my expectations. But this is Adagio, after all, and the spice blend in this chai is to die for. I boiled it in milk (as they did in India) and enjoyed it immensely.
This is the worst chai I've ever tasted, much too heavy on the cloves...
One of the finest teas available here. Good with milk and sugar, or just sugar. Warm and rich, it is a perfect tea to drink on a chilly day to help invigorate the drinker.
My and are both big fans of chai tea. This rates a ten my book very nice blend of spices a little milk and sugar really makes this a good cup of tea any time of day. Made a cup for my wife when she had an upset stomach defiantly did the trick.
An excellent blend of spices, impactful in blends, well-balanced, and reasonably strong.
This tea is absolutely wonderful - spiced without being overpowering and perfect with a little milk and honey. I've only made it iced so far, but I can't wait for winter to try it hot. My only issue is that I wish there were more cinnamon. it's JUST shy of spicy enough. Perhaps steeping it longer would help. A great tea all around though.
Love drinking this black. I love the spiciness it has to it.
I drink this chai 1/3 milk, 2/3 tea with honey to taste.
One of my favorites! This tea is wonderful on a cold night or chilled and taken on a hike. It makes my house smell good, too!
This is okay. Not the best chai I have had. It takes a lot of tea, but the flavor isn't very strong for a chai. I expected a bit more spice. It mostly has the flavor of clove, and is missing the cinnamon and other forward spicy flavors I expect in a good chai.
The cinnamon completely over powers the cup and can only be described as tasking like 'Christmas' which is not a good thing in my opinion. Cardamon and black tea is a delicate and excellent form of masala chai and that is what I was hoping for, a little more balance to all the extra flavors, not so here.
Beautiful chai, very full taste and its got a nice little bite of spice.
Both my sister and myself love this tea. It has a nice strong spiced flavor and is also lovely with the addition of a little sweetener and some milk or cream.
Not only does this smell absolutely amazing in the pouch, it makes a nice tasty cup of tea as well. It's not too spicy, either, which is great for people who can't do much spice (hi). I like it!
Very powerful with loads of spice! Warms you up really quickly and it's also amazing with some milk!
Spicy, strong, and full of whole spice pieces, not powdered bland messes you see in tea bags from other companies.
Spicy, warm, and good! A bit strong on the ginger though.
Spicy and just what I needed to clear up my sinuses.
I really like this one - very addictive. A great, first thing in the morning drink!
Solid chai, given that it is pre-blended. A nice balance of spices. Great to make at double strength and then combine with steamed milk for a chai latte.
I was using tazo chai tea before I found adagio, and wow, what a difference. Adagio's chai is much stronger, and frankly, just all around better. This chai makes great lattes.
Very good, strong cinnamon taste. I would drink it again, but I do prefer the Thai Chai because of it's softer taste.
I have tried this several times and think that perhaps I just am not a huge fan of 'traditional' chais... Each time I brewed this the ginger was the most pronounced flavor, and almost overpowered everything else. This isn't a bad tea, by any means... just not one I enjoy.
An awesome chai! Very deep rich aroma and taste, goes really great with milk!
I just reordered this tea. This tea has some extra kick to it that makes it unique as well as a wonderful aroma. I will continue to buy this product.
I'm usually hesitant of homemade chai, but this changed my mind. It's flavorful and spicy, and is delicious even without milk or sugar.
This is the first tea I've tried from Adagio and it's wonderful...
Liked this one hot, sweetened with sugar and milk.
I like a strong, spicy chai. Brewed according to the instructions (2 heaping teaspoons, 5 minutes, 212 degrees) it tastes a bit weak to me, and adding milk only enhances that. I've read the reviews suggesting using more milk and simmering for as much as ten minutes. I suspect it's better that way -- I plan to try it and see.
My new favorite chai tea...amazing with a bit of cream, or just by itself!
Fantastic chai, just the right balance of spices. Perfect with milk and sugar, this is an energetic rather than a comforting chai.
