Warm and spicy. This is what comfort tastes like.
'Masala' means 'blend of spices' and 'chai' is simply 'tea.' Inviting fragrance, invigorating flavor, warm finish.

Warm and spicy. This is what comfort tastes like.
Tea was enjoyable, though not my favorite masala chai. Flavor seemed a little peppery in aftertaste but overall the tea was not strong enough or as rounded as I would typically like.
Sipping hot tea is a significant part of my Trinidadian culture. The masala chai takes me back to the times growing up when I enjoy teas that were warm and comforting. I particularly enjoy this tea while burning amber resin. Ah yes!!! Thank you Adagio for yet another great blend.
Not as strong as I had hoped. But I still enjoyed it. I will most likely use it as a base in a blend.
This.
This is terrific. My only complaint - a minor one - is that I prefer a much stronger chai, so I end up using a great deal of tea for a cup. However, the spice blend is delicious enough to make me not too concerned about it.
Chai tea is my favorite tea ever. Masala chai is a very simple chai tea unlike Spiced Apple Chai (which I love). Very simple chai tea if you're looking for something not too profound.
I love this tea for a medium-strength chai. While I sometimes prefer very strong chai flavor and feel I would have to use quite a lot to make this one extremely potent, I feel it's perfect for someone who's looking to try a flavorful chai but is wary of getting something too overwhelming. Definitely enjoyed.
Really enjoying this tea! It brews up nice and strong, and it isn't thin and watery like most bagged tea. It's very basic and simple in flavor though, which is a good thing if you like consistency, but sometimes I crave adventure in my chai. Also take not that if you brew without a teapot or leaf container, some herbal bits will float on the top and get into your mouth while drinking!
Enjoy this as an mid morning break tea. I serve with stevia and coconut/almond milk.
This tea is perfect. Most chai that I get have one overpowering flavor, like cinnamon or clove, and everything else is muted. The reason I love this tea is because no individual spices stand out. They are blended well. Yes it has cinnamon, but that doesn't overpower the other spices. Same with the clove. They just create a wonderful tea that is really good. My favorite way to drink this is with milk and honey. I'm definitely reordering this.
Overall this is pretty good, but it doesn't have the full amount of spice that my favorite chai teas have.
For being chai, it's only a tad bit spicy but the small kick is still there--it's still definitely tastes and smells like a chai tea but it seems to be a lot milder as compared to other chai teas I've had in the past. It seems to be a good amount of cloves, cardamom, and ginger, but I don't really feel like there's an overpowering taste, which I'm fine with. Overall it's a nice tasting chai that works really well with a bit of milk!
Great Chai Sample to find our which Chai Teas you like best!
I don't miss coffee in the morning when I have this.
For some reason, I can not describe this tea any other way then leaving a greasy feeling in my mouth. I wanted to vomit after I brewed a cup, and even after adding milk and honey, it still left a horribly bitter taste in my mouth. I ordered it because I normally love Chai's in restaurants and cafe's, so I was hoping to get that delicious taste at home. Adagio does have other wonderful teas, like their vanilla rooibos. But I will not be ordering this particular tea ever again.
My favorite of the Chai Sampler! Superb cup every time!
This one is one of my favorites. I like it best with cream and sugar.
I liked this Tea and its spiciness but i feel like it lacked a bit of depth. I just couldn't get much out of it except spiciness which is GREAT on a chilly night but i just felt like something was missing. i liked this tea i just think i would try a different type of chai.
Tastes really good, but smells stronger in the bag. Also a bit too many cloves for my taste but nonethless a great tea!
My favorite chai tea out there. Full of spice and natural flavors.
Full bodied w/so much flavor. If you like chai, you will really enjoy this one.
Very relaxing. But with a pick me up. Relax while I work kind of tea
Nicely spicy without being overpowering. Makes a nice warming cup after a day playing in the snow.
If you add soy milk and boil it for 5 minutes or so together ( add sugar and a pinch of salt if you like) you can make a great cup of soy chai tea latte.
Great taste of the spices. Would definitely try again
This is a very mellow spiced tea compared to what I usually like to drink. Usually, I go for spiced teas with lots of pepper and spiciness, but this tea has a strong savory backbone that underplays the sharp tangs of the spices.
I enjoy this tea over-steeped to bring out more of the flavors of the spices. This introduces noticeable bitterness, but I find it worth it. I would enjoy this tea more if there were more spiciness and heft to it, but it is still an excellent tea. I often add crushed peppercorns to this tea.
Smells good in the bag. A bit on the clove side after the brew up. Good tea, but i wish it was a little toned down on the cloves
My sister and I drink Marsala Chai. We used to spend $$ at Starbucks and realized we could do it better ourselves. It is a ritual. We use a small french press to make our tea and put almond milk in a frother, warm up our tea bowl. Then put honey or sugar in the bowel, next the frothed almond milk and finally the chai. It is heaven.
This wasn't my favorite tea. I can't really describe it, but it just didn't mesh with me.
A decent chai tea. Nothing to blow your socks off, but a nice change of pace for the cupboard (when you are tired of your favorites).
Very nice Chai. Just wish it was spiced a bit more.
Awesome flavor - I like to drink this in the afternoon. Very nice spices.
I like masala chai. As the name implies, it has a distinctly forward blend of spice that might seem a little bit overpowering. I urge you to give it time to 'grow on you.' I find that it requires a full ten minutes to steep properly. Try it with and without sugar (I prefer without). I like masala chai in the evenings to soothe me.
A good, old fashioned chai, ready to go out of the package.
I love chai, and this one did not disappoint me!
Great tasting chai--much better than the drinks at coffee shops.
In the bag a very strong scent of cloves and cinnamon. Over steeped this one at first and it was like a ginger smack to my face! The spices are lovely and in the forefront, very tasty in the cup a nice blend of spices.
My other half absolutely loves this tea steeped in just hot water. We tried it tonight steeped into milk and it was fabulous. Had it with a side of pound cake for dessert and the sweet cake provided just the sweetness the milk tea needed.
I really liked this chai, especially with milk and sugar. Sometimes I make it stronger to create a chai latte. When compared to other chais, I like the flavor of this one.
Great Masala combination! Excellent with some honey and milk.
Great, but very, very spiced. I really liked it with honey and milk.
Just too spiced for my liking. I like a nice chai but it was a little bit too much for me. Might be better if made with milk.
Love this tea! Easily one of my favorite black teas
I like this chai a lot and the only reason I didn't give it a 'great' is that it is a bit heavy on clove and light on cardamom. It is, however, a perfectly respectable tea and I enjoy drinking it.
Spicy. Perfect with a little milk. I will be reordering this one.
Very smooth with just enough spice for a cold winter day.
This is a pretty good chai. The base ceylon tea is very good, and my bag at least had a lot of spices, particularly cloves. I prefer to drink tea plain and actually found the recommended amount (2tsp per cup) a bit too strong on its own - better with a bit less tea or mellowed with milk. It's a very sweet spice to me, kind of like red hot candies.
An excellent chai. While the white chai is my favorite of Adagio's offerings, this is a very close second for me.
Really good flavor, could use a little more spice.
I love this and am just about to purchase a larger bag. It's a nice and spicy chai that makes a great latte.
