I got a sample and am now ordering 16 ozs. It is a very smooth tea with no after taste. I cook it the full 10 minutes at 212. Then add 2 ice cubes and a tsp. of sugar when I want to drink it. Even my husband who loves dark coffee really enjoys this tea.

Rich spice tea. Good with milk or cream and some sweetener.

★★★★★

Excellent, normal chai mix. Very good and I'm ordering more.

Not my favorite by glad I tried it! Will most likely try another chai in the future.

★★★★☆

All around decent chai tea, fairly strong flavor, even for chai.

A spice-heavy chai, as it should be. Strong on the cloves and cardamom, if that is your thing. It's not mine, but my hubs enjoys it. I like it best for blending and it is especially good mixed with Adagio's sour apple tea!

This is a great chai tea. Just enough spice and lots of flavor. I enjoy it with milk and a little brown sugar.

★★★★★

Great warm spice tea for a quite evening. My roommate loved it, too!

★★★★★

This tea is potent! The spice levels are incredible, bringing a very warming cup of tea with a sweet aroma that makes me feel like I'm inside a spice shop somewhere exotic. Really wonderful with a splash of half-and-half and a teaspoon or two of agave or honey.

This is hands down my favorite chai I've ever tried, and I'm pretty sure I first tried it as a free reward sample. I want to try brewing it with milk at some point, but even with just water and steeping 3-5 minutes, it's delicious. Nice spicy flavor.

★★★★★

I love any chai tea. I think this taste great with milk as well.

★★★★★

There were A Lot of cloves in my sample, which made me a little concerned that it would overwhelm the other flavors, but that wasn't the case. The cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and tea balance nicely. A wonderful, strong chai! (I did brew it in milk the first time, but found i prefer steeping as a regular tea and adding milk afterwards.)

★★☆☆☆

I had never tried chai before and unfortunately this one did not persuade me to try any others. Chai simply isn't my style. I gifted the remaining masala chai sample packet to a friend, however, and they really enjoyed it.

★★★★★

Oh my goodness I could drink this all the time. Latte style with steamed or foamed milk and a touch of vanilla is spectacular.

★★★★☆

It was a bit more spice then I expected but it was great!

I'm not a fan of this. My husband likes it though. It does smell good when he makes a cup.

★★★★★

I bought this for my friend, they said it is 'gosh darn gnarly'. They more seriously said it is significantly more spicy than the honeybush pumpkin chai (which is the other flavor I bought for them). It's almost 'too spicy' and they can't really drink it without sweetening it.

★★★★★

I didn't know I like Masala Chai until I tried some from this site.

My Nepali husband took one sip of this, got very quiet, then said 'This tastes exactly like what we drank at home.' I have tried for the past five years to make him a good cup of chai to ease the homesickness and nothing has even come close. I never thought to order Masala Chai from Adagio but they sent me this as a free sample and I ordered a larger bag the very next day. This is perfection.

Just had this tea outside of a blend for the first time today, and it's so good! Spicy and warm, and it was great both on it's own and with milk. This will be a great tea to keep around the house as a staple.

Lovely, and well-balanced chai. Delicious when brewed with a bit of cream and honey.

★★★★☆

This tea is very nice iced which I did not expect.

★★★★★

Love this tea! It's spiced nicely for a mix of invigorating and calming. The bag says 7 to 10 minutes. I usually go on the short end of that.

I enjoy this tea with Honey and Half and Half. Very soothing tea at the end of the day especially. The only Chai Tea I am a big fan of and it is my normal evening tea to relax.

Delicious and spicy, I brewed it using the long steep method in milk

★★★☆☆

Been unable to find a good chai on here. Just too flat and flavored with odd variations.

★★★★★

It has a nice blend of spices. I drink it every morning.

★★★★☆

I usually make my own spice blend for chai and brew up a large batch in the slow cooker using my favorite go-to Adagio black tea, yunnan noir, as the base. I tried this as a time saver. The spice was nice, but heavier on the clove and ginger than I prefer. Still, it's a very pleasingly fragrant brew and delicious with milk and sugar. One heaping teaspoon per cup is plenty, especially if you aren't going to dilute with milk. Where I really enjoyed this chai was on the second or third brew. Then, the ginger sizzle was still present, but mild enough to make a really enjoyable cup of spicy tea.

not the best masala chai I've ever had, but pretty darn good. lots of spices in the aftertaste, and extra good with milk or cream.

★★★★☆

Wish it had a bit more cinnamon or spice. Wonder how it is with milk

★★★★★

I love Masala Chai, and Adagio's version is no exception. The aroma is satisfyingly unique and the taste is bold and earthy with the spice you expect from Masala Chai. A 2.25 minute steep at 195 F produces a full flavored tea with a thick and silky mouthfeel. However, I usually steep about 1.75 minutes for a thinner brew with more focus on the spice and floral notes. Contrary to Adagio's recommendation, I use 1 normal teaspoon per cup.

Update: This has always been my favorite Masala Chai mix. I was disappointed a while ago as I had an order that seemed to have been mixed with a super caffeinated blend of black tea. I am happy to say the latest batch has the caffeine tamed again so it's more enjoyable.

Original Review: I love chai and will try just about any kind I can. Usually if you're out you will pay a bunch for chai made at a cafe. None of them come close to this one. It has a great intense spice flavor that is balanced. Some chai has too much of one spice and not enough of another.. but this one is just right.

I like the spiciness of the tea. Good warming feeling with a smooth, but spicy taste.

Nice and spicy. I sometimes let this steep for quite some time, so that I can add a bit of milk for a creamy treat.

★★★★★

I really enjoyed this chai tea- especially with a little bit of honey and milk.

Love this tea. Great pick me up also very soothing to my stomach.

★★★★☆

Not that strong of a flavor and kind of watery, I like a really strong chai. This one was still pretty good!

This tea is good. In general, I like chai well enough, but it's not my go-to type of tea. I don't turn to it as often as my other mainstays, but it's nice once in a while. I find it works well for me as a coffee substitute--not in flavor, but in the sense that it has strong flavor and I like to add a little sugar and cream/milk, as I would with coffee.

★★★★★

Classic masala chai. I wish I'd been paying more attention to the amount of milk and sugar I used because I accidentally managed to create the perfect chai latte. I hope I can do it again.

★★★★☆

Smooth and refreshing, I would recommend this tea.

★★★☆☆

If you are a big fan of the chai spices then this is a great pick for you.

★★★★★

Very good tea. It tastes like something you could actually get in India. I usually have this on my weekends with lots of sugar and a little milk.

★★★★★

One of my favorites in the winter. Great with frothy almond milk.

★★★★★

This tea has grown on me! Really nice blend of spices, much spicier (and more authentic-tasting) than many commercial chai blends.

★★★★★

This is traditional chai tea. I introduce friends to chai with this tea in a chai latte. They usually ask me if it is really tea, and what did I put in it, because they can taste the various spices such as cinnamon, ginger, etc.

Then I have to explain to them why they won't be able to find the same quality in the grocery store...

★★★★☆

This is a solid, very tasty chai tea. I like to over steep it before adding honey and a fair amount of milk to it.

This was a very tasty chai - the tea flavor nice and strong, and the spices to match it. Held up very well to a second, longer brewing. It's not going to replace the rooibos chai as my go-to tea, but it's nice for when I need a little caffeine.

Very flavorful with a deep spice and delicious scent. It's great straight up or with cream and sugar.
