Tea treats of the leafy sort! This 'cookie' is white peony leaves pressed into a small square shape for easy transport. The aroma is fresh, with the classic Bai Mu Dan notes of cucumber and sweet melon. Tasty as it is novel, this is a great tea for travel and for impressing your friends not yet initiated into the world of finer teas. Easy to brew, and wonderful to sip. Each cookie is enough to make 2-3 cups of tea.
White Tea | Low caffeine | Steep at 180° for 3-5 minutes.
Also known as Pai Mu Tan or Bai Mu Dan, White Peony is a sweet, mild Chinese tea made from unopened tea buds, as well as the two newest leaves to sprout. The freshly harvested leaf is allowed to wither dry in the sun. The natural oxidation that takes place during this withering gives White Peony beautiful, plush flavors. The nose is warm, floral and rich like fruit blossoms. The liquor is golden and bright. Clean, succulent floral-fruit flavor, melon sweetness, a touch of gentle savoriness and rounded mouthfeel.

I purchased the sample of this and am sensitive to caffeine. I can drink white tea and even some green, but it felt like the caffeine was much stronger than advertised in this tea cookie. Has anyone else noticed this?
