Nyx

As a servant of the Vance household, Nyx received almost daily abuse at the hands of Elina Vance, the Count's youngest daughter. Several years later, she has entered into a Faustian bargain with Funikura, a demonic staff that uses her for less than savory purposes. In return, Nyx has become a powerful warrior in her own right, the only contestant in the Queen's Blade tournament who uses the element of fire as a weapon rather than a sword, mace, staff, or axe. But her unresolved trauma keeps her in bondage to her staff, which has simply taken the place of another abuser.
