The Medicine Wheel of the Four Directions helps guide & orientate us. Each of the Four Directions (west, north, east and south) are typically represented by a distinctive color, usually black, red, yellow, and white. The Four Directions can also represent the four seasons of Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter; the four elements of water, air, earth and fire; the four life stages of birth, childhood, adulthood and elder; the states of the Self which need to be balanced--mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional...and so on. The circle represents the circle of life, the circle of self-awareness, and the circle of knowledge. Indigenous people of North America looked to this circle as a reminder that everything flows in a circle. Our spirits live forever, from Earth, into the SpiritWorld. ♾️
