Known as Nellie Bly, Elizabeth Jane Cochran (1864 – 1922), started writing for newspapers when she was 21 years old. First, she wrote under the name "Lonely Orphan
Girl," and then Nellie Bly. She once spent ten days undercover in a women's asylum to discover the living conditions and treatment of the women there. Later, she spent time in Mexico, uncovering the poor leadership there. Nellie was able to travel around the world in 72 days after the book "Around the World in 80 Days" was published by Jules Verne.
