Moroccan mint tea, based off a formula taken from a package of moroccan mint tea bought in El Albayzin (or the ancient Arab Quarter) of Granada, Spain. Made with gunpowder green tea, spearmint (not peppermint!!), and a bit of lemon grass (it should be lemon verbena, but that isn't available on adagio).
Serve hot with a *very* generous helping of sugar.
I had Moroccan tea for the first time in a teahouse in the Arab quarter of Granada, Spain - an experience I'll never forget. I've been searching for a Moroccan mint tea available in the US that could recapitulate that fleeting memory, and have miserably failed so far. This is my last attempt short of taking a trip across the Atlantic JUST to restock my supply.
