Once upon a time, Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna of Russia and her family were executed by Bolshevik police. Many rumors circulated about her escape, as well as many false women coming forward to claim they were the heir to the once Russian throne. Though her disappearance was disproved in 2007, it doesn't make her story any less fascinating. Warm spicy combinations of gingerbread and fruity currants, rounded out with vanilla and accented with orange peels and cranberries. Think of having a dense fruity cake at tea time.
