Wanderlust

I named this blend Wanderlust because when I moved near Cocoa Beach, I really felt right at home. Being a Southern California native and having lived in several states in between and all over the place I wanted to capture that feeling of adventure. The picture on the tin is one I took of Cocoa Beach pier at sunrise. So for my California home I added almonds. I have been huge lover of almond oil and productions for since forever and it reminds me of happy memories. I have tried Thai Chai from Adagio and I knew that it would be perfect for a coconut, spicy note to the almond. It was for the beach and sunshine. The final note I added was chocolate chip, plus an added extra bit of chocolate nibs. I wanted to use the nibs to cut the sweetness of the first two teas. While they would cut the bitterness of of the nibs. The cup brewed up a lovely golden brown and on first taste the chocolate is very present. It smells very chocolately. I was worried I added too much. When I added a splash of half and half it took on a creaminess that pushed the chai forward and it was perfect.
