Forged in the cold north of Scandinavia, this subgenre of metal tells the stories of mighty warriors and their gods. This very subgenre is named for those warriors known to us as Vikings. To represent the forge from which their axes, swords, and spears were formed is the smoky Lapsang Souchong, and the blood that those same warriors spilled of their enemies is represented by the blood orange, and to represent the cold, blistering northern winds that they had to face is the always cool Spearmint. And many of them liked to perform rituals using spices and herbs for such, this is where the addings of clove and cinnamon come into play
