Description

Nutty and versatile, sesame is a popular ingredient worldwide. Toasting adds a depth and intensity to an already tasty seed. Combined the flavor with Ceylon black tea and you get a truly unique blend.

"This tea tasted so terrible that we let it sit on our counter after the first experience... and were scared to drink it again... but we did!"

"This tea was only so-so; I tried it on a whim and wasn't sure what to expect. The tea mostly tastes like a regular black tea, with a little bit of sesame flavor. The blend smells of sesame in the tin, but most of the aroma dissipates on brewing."

"I enjoy a savory, earthy tea. I like smokiness and nuttiness and I adore sesame seeds in their natural state, and use them to make candy and cook with~ with but tea was just not pleasant. Another member reviewed it and said it smelled like soy sauce, and that is spot on. It doesn't smell anything like sesame seeds, toasted, roasted, candied or natural~ and again, I use them a lot. I was rather excited to try this one, and hoped it would be reminicent of the hestnut tea, but I wouldn't order this again, or advise anyone else to, unless you were using it too cook~ and even then, you'd be better off just buying a bottle of soy sauce."

"This definitely tastes like sesame seeds. Slightly over-toasted, in a good way. It's not what I normally think of as a tea flavor, but I'm not a tea expert and I suspect there are some fancy japanese teas that taste kind of like this one. I like blending this with things, and I like it by itself with intensely-flavored meat-based meals. Goes great with garlicky things!"

"This just wasn't the flavor I thought it would be. The smell was like soy sauce which I thought was really strange. The taste was not very strong but I guess maybe I just don't like the savory teas. I thought it would taste nutty but it didn't. "
