The first book, The Wishing Spell, follows twins Alex and Conner Bailey as the discover that the book of fairytales their grandmother gave them actually lets them enter the Land of Stories itself. There, they befriend several familiar characters, make enemies with others, and travel across through familiar fairy tale settings as the search for the key items they need in order to create The Wishing Spell and make their way home.
