196 days till Halloween ๐๐๐ it's been an absolute awful week here, please keep Sabby in your thoughts she is quite sick, we've been to the emergency vet twice this week and she is just so miserable and I'm fearing a third visit won't be too far off, she's having trouble with her anal glands again which is just a huge blow after the kidney disease news from 3 weeks ago. It just never slows down here, this rough patch is just kicking my butt. Please keep me in your thoughts to im incredibly sick, I have an evaluation with a Dr I'm being forced to see tomorrow and I'm just mentally, physically, and emotionally drained. Sorry to hear about the stuff piling on. Hope you get some better news when you see the doctor. Hope Sabbath finds some comfort and you guys can have some relaxing chill time over the weekend. We had a black kitty who went through much of the same stuff when she was around 18-19. I know we had to take her more often to get those glands expressed as she had more trouble doing it naturally.

Good morning to all. I donโt have todayโs tea but I do have Kukicha, so Iโm about to make my second steep of that. I am looking forward to completing Triduum this weekend. Holy Thursday Mass last night was wonderful, and today and tomorrowโs services will be spiritually enriching as well, I expect. In the meantime I will keep working on the deep cleaning of windows and the nooks and crannies that donโt get enough attention, that includes a deep cleaning of our little Star. He loves going to the โpet resort,โ but is always smelly when he comes home. Today we take care of that at the dog groomer. He puts up with it because he likes the people who work there.

For those who like to cold brew tea is it better to add sugar per glass at end or to add it before throwing it in refrigerator? Thanks in advance.

Never! I don't ever sweeten cold brewed tea so I am no help. Sorry! I would have to say per glass at the end if you are sharing it with anyone. My hubby adds Splenda to his, along with a lemon slice. I add nothing. That keeps the peace in our family. ๐

I decided to try cold brewing the elderberry wine herbal for this weekend I feel like it should be sweet enough on its own, but it could also end up in the tart direction.

I usually do it by the glass afterwards because iced or cold brewed teas tend to be in a pitcher so if I end up sharing it can be done by personal preference.

I sweeten in the glass or cup with the assumption that sugared water wonโt keep as long, even refrigerated. And Iโve always wondered if sugared water would hinder full cold-steeping of the tea leaves.

That was one of the reasons I asked. I had read somewhere that sugar or sweetener could inhibit the "awakening" of the leaves somehow and was unsure of how accurate that was.
