In the past, Bridget would open up the calendar in advance for people to request their own blend on a certain day. There were discussions over Friday Tea Talks about suggestions for specific teas on certain days throughout the year that would be related to Adagio's teas as well. It also has to do with what teas are available at what time too. There are usually predictable patterns in general. (Summer teas are usually fruit/ hibiscus for iced tea, fall is usually chai or spiced based, winter often has chocolate or peppermint flavors, spring is frequently white or floral teas.)

Thank you Jan and so many of you for your kind condolences. We are deep in photo selection and going to the funeral home this afternoon with my FIL and SIL. It’s been wonderful to look at pictures of her as a child and young woman. Her brother gave them an incredible scrapbook for their 50th wedding anniversary that contains all the family history, including ration books from WW II. She had a full life during challenging times.

Hmm, if I remember right this was one of the easier Earl Greys to have so far... in the fridge overnight, not hot (they all seem to come out bleh when I make them hot), and it still was more like 'I can drink this without wishing it was gone and I had something else instead' rather than 'yum', but... if I had to pick one of them, it'd probably be this one. 🤔

I have to say with the trials and tribulations with Earl grey teas, I do have to say Bela Luna, I do like a lot of cream and sweetener or honey. Earl grey moonlight my Mom kinda weened me back to it with me blending the tea with my 'Halloween' Tea blends like "Howl like the Moon" and others. :) Don't get me wrong but Earl Grey bravo...Yuck!!! Happy Tuesday, tea family. I will gladly join you in a cup of Earl Grey Moonlight...yum! I am feeling much better and can say I am over the flu. The only problem I am having is a croaky voice in the evening. That could be from my allergies/asthma. I am really not sure what is causing that as I have had it off and on for a while. I had my upper tract checked out last year as I thought it might be from acid reflux, but that was not the case. All I know is a cup of Breathe Well really helps. Enjoy your day as much as possible, and I will do likewise. Just doing some laundry today...easing back into things.

...Ok was currently assessing a sore throat situation. Do I actually have a sore throat or is it from dry heat?...Alas, Mum Moonbeam is reporting it, too. Started the day with some Mambo. As the day wears on, plenty of wellness teas shall flow. Throat therapy is my fav, with HONEY! 🍯

I find that if a sore throat is due to dryness, post-nasal drip, mouth breathing all night, or a cough then drinking fluids like tea helps. If swallowing hurts, even saliva and liquids, it's more likely Strep throat and should be checked. Not every Strep throat has a fever! I hope you feel better quickly!!!

Twyla, I began feeling that two weeks ago. Unsure if I were getting sick I decided to get a little 2 oz mist aromatherapy vaporizer and began using it with lavender oils drops. It worked, heat was my culprit. I hope you and Mum Moonbeam feel better soon.

My son went through something similar yesterday, only his was a dry cough. He stayed home from work in case he was coming down with something as he did not want to infect his coworkers. Thank goodness it was an allergic cough, which he gets quite often. It is so hard to tell what is going on (or not going on) at first and since the pandemic no one wants to spread anything around. I hope the Throat Therapy works for you and your Mom and it chases away whatever is trying to get to you two.

Thank you for your kind words, Christine. My extended family is dwindling. Her sister will miss her terribly. She fought well, however, and was a three-time cancer survivor. Pneumonia is what finally tipped the scales.

Jan, you are correct that they are glad she is not suffering. She was in a nursing home for a couple years. Her sister would go there every day. They had parties for her all the time...her sister, along with her two double cousins who live close by. Until last year her brother would go there often too (until he passed away unexpectedly). They are a very tight-knit family. Her sister is going to have a big hole in her life as she handled all of her sister's affairs for many years. I know she is going to have a tough time of it, at least for a while. Hopefully her hubby and her double cousins will help fill the gap.

Nancy, in response to your earlier response to my good morning post...I did have a great workout, but no iced tea for me. I had Ze Little Grey Cells with my breakfast, and then Year of the Snake later on in the day. I have to say that I prefer Year of the Tiger, but YOtS is good too. Currently I'm sipping a Salted Caramel Chocolate blend from another vender. I'm glad you're having a good (tea) day. Yay! and I completely understand about just popping in and out. I sipped my EG Moonlight today before opening chat, and thought a bit about how to interpret the birthday tea fortune for today - for me, and now I know it's for Sarah too! It's great to have birthday buddies! I usually drink my tea black, with no cream, no sugar. Earl grey is one of the few I'd reach for cream with, honestly. And since I almost never use cream in tea, I almost never have any on hand! So this morning, I laughed a little, seeing that the birthday tea had its cream included in the flavor already. To me, it seemed like a pretty clear message: you have what you need. No need to go looking. It's there already. I think Twyla's reading synchronizes well with that interpretation - lots of light to see our way forward. So as a fortune for the year ahead, I see earl grey moonlight as the first step on a journey, for which we're well prepared. That's a wonderful message to receive as I step into my 30s!

Adagio's Earl Grey blends generally aren't my thing -- I think it's the orange in them -- and this isn't an exception. The vanilla and creme flavors help a bit, but not really enough for me. Sweetening it will probably improve the flavor, but it's still not the kind of Earl Grey blend I prefer.

A simple BRAVO!!! To make a Earl grey decaf -Bravo tasting tea good, is a miracle because (i'm beating a dead horse) I Do Not Like Earl grey regular or decaf black tea by itself. Ruth's Pinkish Earl Grey Decaf Flavored Black tea is The BOMB!!!! (a good thing) The decaf Earl Grey with decaf Strawberry, decaf Cream and lots of Strawberry accents (real strawberries) I use cream or half and half with honey and it gave the tea blend a shade of kinda pinkish color to the decaf black tea. It reminds me of strawberry cheese cake or short cake. Just good to drink this blend often with the ladies in my family. The ladies would drink Earl grey with my mom but when she past they didn't drink it a group as often. in our family gatherings.
