If there was one man that all of Hogwarts knew of, it was Severus Snape. He was a dark, intimidating sort with an eye for those who caused trouble. He enjoyed storming around the halls, startling the students half to death, but that joy only lasted for a moment before it faded. Deep below the normal ground of the castle, in the dungeons dark and dank, the Potions master kept many secrets. Down there, he was alone and no one would bother him. In a small room, adjoined by a secret door to his bed chambers, was a silver piano. It was said that on the darkest of nights when the winds are howling and the trees rattling, one can hear the haunting melancholic sound of the Dark Song, where it comes from or how it starts, no one knows. It is one of the greatest mysteries that will never be solved.
