Adventure Through the Zodiac: Pisces Tea

There are 12 signs in the Zodiac, and Adagio Teas has crafted a unique blend for each one, representing the character and energy of the western astrology sun signs.

Pisces is the last of the 12 sun signs in the Zodiac. Those born between Feb 19 and Mar 20 are considered Pisceans and are represented by a pair of fish. The fish representation is said to be related to the Greek myth of Aphrodite and Eros, who jumped into a river to escape the monster Typhon and changed into fish, or, alternatively, the two fish that carried them to safety.

Those born under the sign of the fish are smart, creative and deeply intuitive. Pisceans can also be quite sensitive and generally enjoy spending time with small groups of people. The water sign will take in everything around them, and though they tend to be quiet, when they do speak up, people often listen.

Pisces are often popular employees, as their creativity and ability to collaborate with others can make them stand out on the job. As a spouse, they can come across as needy but will prioritize their family at all times.

Adagio took all the characteristics of this sign and crafted a calming citrus blend to bring out Pisces creative and intuitive sides. Chamomile, lemongrass and cornflowers round out this three-tea blend and help Pisces overcome both shyness and sensitivity.

Famous Pisceans who would enjoy sipping on this blend include Jon Bon Jovi, Simone Biles, Drew Barrymore, Josh Groban, Bruce Willis, and William H. Macy.

This flavored blend is perky and bright while also being very relaxing. The earthy citrus flavor lends itself well to Pisces habit of daydreaming or getting lost in a book.

Meet The Ingredients

Three teas are combined in this Zodiac blend. Rooibos, Black, and White teas give structure and substance to the aromatic citrus notes of orange and grapefruit. Chamomile, lemongrass and blue cornflower both inspire creativity and encourage relaxation.

Adagio's reviewers said this tea is perfect at any time, but a few suggested it's best enjoyed at night to wind down from the day. A drop of honey can bring out the citrus notes, which become more pronounced as the tea cools.

Adagio's carefully chosen ingredients also offer some surprising health benefits.

White Tea

The least processed type of tea, as well as the most delicate in flavor, white tea is produced by picking the buds and leaves of the tea plant before they're fully open. White tea gets its name from the fact that the buds have tiny white hairs on them at the time of picking.

Both black and white tea contain antioxidants, but white tea has more antioxidants because it is less processed than other types of tea. Antioxidants are beneficial for fighting free radicals, unstable molecules that can damage other molecules in the body. By keeping cell damage from free radicals in check, antioxidants help prevent many types of chronic health conditions, including heart disease, diabetes, and certain types of cancer.

Chamomile

Chamomile has been used in herbal medicine for centuries for its soothing, therapeutic properties. It's said to aid in digestion, soothe cold symptoms and help with sleep and anxiety issues.
Studies show that chamomile has a mild sedative effect that is great for inducing sleep. And once asleep, chamomile may also improve sleep quality, and therefore help with problems associated with depression and other mental health issues.

Lemongrass

Studies have shown many health benefits from lemongrass. It has a few benefits in common with chamomile, including aiding digestion and helping with sleep.

Like black and white teas, lemongrass also contains antioxidants, which are said to provide much support to the body, including helping fight heart disease and cancer.
