What’s So Special About Chicoriccino Tea?

If you’re asking what makes the Chicoriccino so delicious, you’re in the right place. This blend of tea has the most beautiful intoxicating aroma of chicory based chocolate, cinnamon, and dandelion root that resembles the smell of coffee. With hints of nuttiness that tie this flavor profile perfectly, it brings the question as to why we’ve never made a recipe for it yet.

Low on caffeine, this choice tea is an excellent choice for those wanting to stay healthy as this option has multiple health benefits.

Filled with antioxidants, the cinnamon and dandelion root help protect your body from cell radicals. Both contain anti-inflammatories that help prevent oxidative damage to your cells. The chicory acts as a prebiotic and is often used to settle upset stomachs. And of course, cocoa is also rich in antioxidants, helps lower blood pressure, improves cholesterol, and we must not forget, brings joy to our soul!

It’s really no wonder why Chicoriccino is sure to bring your winter coziness levels to the maximum!

The Recipe

Small mixing bowl
Small pot
Tea strainer
Electric Mixer (or large mixing bowl and wooden spoon)
Baking Pan
Grinder (or mortar and pestle)

This recipe makes about 4-5 dozen cookies.

2 1/4 cups of flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/3 cups of butter
3/4 cups of sugar
1 cup of brown sugar
2 large eggs
2 1/4 cup of chocolate chips
4 tbsp of Chicoriccino

Preheat the oven to 375 F.

In a small pot, warm butter to 212 F, add 2 tbp of Chicoriccino and seep for 4 minutes.

Strain tea and refrigerate butter until soft.

Grind the remaining 2 tbp of Chicoriccino and in a small mixing bowl, mix together the tea, flour, baking soda, and salt; and set it aside.

In a mixer bowl, mix together the softened butter, vanilla, sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.
One at a time, add the eggs with time in between each to allow them to mix evenly.

Slowly add in the flour mixture and mix until smooth.

Finally, add in the chocolate chips, and other desired additionals, and mix.

With clean hands, roll the cookie dough into small balls about 1 inch tall and wide.

Place the cookie dough on a baking sheet leaving them 1.5-2 inches away from each other and the walls of the pan.

Bake each sheet for 10-12 minutes.

After baking each sheet, let it cool for 5 minutes before storing in an airtight container and date for 2 weeks.

We hope that you enjoy the cookies and remember to find the little things that make you happy during these months! And don’t forget to share
