Rooibos, colloquially known as 'Red Tea' (although not from the actual tea bush), is a naturally caffeine-free herbal plant that grows only in South Africa. Hello tea fronds! πͺ΄βΊοΈ I birdwatched in my backyard today so I had to get my bird cup out to attract the birds. Lol. I love to let the true sweet flavor of Roobos shine through. I don't like the woodsy taste that comes from not steeping it long or hot enough. To me straight rooibos tastes WAY better (sweeter) for 10 plus minutes at 212. Have a great day!

A while back someone mentioned here that in parts of Africa it wouldnβt be uncommon to have a pot of rooibos (maybe honeybush but pretty sure rooibos) on all day, more liquid added as needed, and lots of sugar. I canβt find the reference but it seems to make sense since itβs uncaffeinated and without tannins to get bitter.

Erin, I have left it on all day at times and it is much better, less woodsy. It's hard to do that with some of the blend with the more fragile teas. Adding sugar makes everything better! I have added cinnamon into the long steep and that is delicious also. I need to try sugar!π

As for Trading Cards - is your window the full size of your screen? When the window is smaller, Ilya hides some features across the website. On the trading card page, if the dimensions of the browser are smaller, the news crawl across the bottom of the page is hidden. Try making the browser window larger to see if that resolves the issue. My Mom liked a tea! She grew up drinking Red Rose and swears she doesn't like any teas. I've been educating her that there's different kinds of tea, and used the example of saying you don't like cereal when all you've had is plain shredded wheat. Cold brewed up some Strawberry Banana Split, and she tried a sip and said "this is tea??!" and poured herself a glass of it.
Forgot to pack my fine mesh strainer so today's pic shows my double filtration method with a small strainer and coffee filter to catch the smallest leaves.

Hey! If their order qualifies it should be included by our staff even if it's not in their cart/order contents. If it's missing upon delivery, I'll add it to their cart for their next order.. but our team is pretty good about adding those promos anyway!

I steeped todayβs tea for 10 minutes this time, and I may like it better with the longer steep. I thought about doing a 5 min next to a 10 min to taste test but didnβt have time today. I feel like red rooibos has a hint of a doughy after taste after each sip.

Rooibos tea by itself is OK, but I also tried green rooibos blueberry tonight, which I think is totally yummy.

I did not know rooibos is a natural antihistamine. Makes me wonder if I could transition off of Zyrtec with a little rooibos each day, especially if both red and green rooibos have these qualities.
