Story
Cucumber were first cultivated in India 3,000 years ago. Ancient Romans also grew the vegetable widely; the Roman Emperor Tiberus was rumored to have eaten cucumbers every day. Cucumbers are usually consumed raw in salads or on their own, though popularity of the garden staple declined in the 17th Century due to fears of disease from raw vegetables. However, the cucumber has reclaimed its spot in the garden line-up, enjoyed raw, pickled, or cooked.
"Perhaps the most flavorful white tea I've ever come across! Surprisingly sweet and refreshing, an unexpectedly wonderful combination of flavors. :D!"
"Not my favorite, but the slight cucumber taste made for a nice ocassional twist."
"I was not impressed. Yuck. I really like cucumber water and was hoping for the same refreshing taste in this tea. No such luck."
"The coloring is true to a white tea. The longer you steep the more floral or blossomy it smells like. I'm steeping it now...trying to be patient for the full 7 minutes. After steeping the scent of the liquid in the cup has very little scent. You can taste both the White Tea as well as the Cucumber. It's alright. Thank God the smell toned itself out as the dry loose leaf stings the nostrils and is quite funky! It's refreshing as you sip but leaves a semi-sweet aftertaste. Glad I bought it to try. It's not my fave but I will still give it a thumbs up because it's drinkable and creative."
"I haven't tried this hot, but it makes a delicous iced tea."
"I didn't even try this tea. I gagged when I opened the tin and I couldn't bring myself to brew it for fear of throwing up."
